i think this was already reported but anyway...
if you exit a replay when the "New player is connecting" message appears, and then try to change any of the options in the main menu you wont be able to change nothing, and LFS wont quit either, only by the task manager, the debug message is "Please wait - a player is connecting".

i had a go at it in my friends pc and it looks great but the cars dont handle that well, i only tried the 320? and the understeer just ruins it, the car wont turn at all, even at very low speed (80kmh) something just didnt feel right and it might be the setup but all the FF effects dont feel good neither, was a bit too easy for a 320bhp car. the turn in understeer is just awful, and messing with setups only made it worse, what in the world is a preload value of 1, 2 or 3?

heh havent been paying attention to the forum, kinda busy, but anyway you can get the ip's of servers by using netstat in the cmd line, if you ask for the server list in lfs and do a netstat you should see all the ip's, hard to find out wich one it is you want but there are ways to find that out, like waiting for all the connects to timeout and try to connect to a single server. netstat -o lists connections and gives a PID (process id) wich you can check in the task manager(may need to change the options there to see the PID), so you can be sure its lfs's connections youre looking at and not msn or aim, whatever. oh one more thing, you dont need to know the ip, just the adress and the DNS will translate the ip for you, so you can easily tracert www.google.com for example.

podes começar por desligar o gamepad k tens prai ligado ja que dizes k jogas com o teclado, segundo a foto se o shift up ta sempre a branco quer dizer k ou a tecla está encravada ou o teclado ta defeituoso ou o gamepad faz conflito, basicamente o jogo so te faz o highlight da tecla qd ela esta a ser premida, por isso nao deve ser dificil de descobrir o k se passa, tenta outro teclado, quem sabe, de qq maneira este jogo nao se aconselha outra coisa senao um volante, bem vindo e boa sorte com isso.ja agora nao faças um post na secçao de bugs qd nao se trata de um bug do jogo mas sim do teu hardware, o apropriado seria secalhar no technical assistance.

as i said this is about connectivity, a simple traceroute to the ip of the server should expose the problems, in windows its: tracert <ip of server>
you can have perfect connectivity to some ip's and crappy to others, thats up to your isp, a traceroute usually helps because then you can show the isp folks where your problem is.

been suggested a gazillion times but yeah would be cool to have to pump the brakes

guys thats what happens when your connection isnt working 100%, i get that sometimes if my mates are downloading stuff from torrents or whatever, it can happen even if your not using your line but then its the ISP problem, my guess is that you wont be able to connect to most of european servers because the line between the US and europe is always saturated, if it happens in a US server also then you better have a talk with your isp or make sure no one else is using your line in case of wireless routers.

have you tried to join the server and save the layout? shift+u and you can save it afaik.

theres a problem with people who can't drive the cars but from what ive seen theres also a problem with high ping players, 3 or 4 players with 200+ ping will wreck the whole field before t1.

ah paulie, you would have to discover the wonders of the linux world to do that
some headaches also i suspect, as it wont be useful for online play or anything that needs an ip.
heh quick search points to an old puter running BSD+CARP, it would load balance the 2 connections but i dunno about leeching the same file at max speed from both lines for example.aparently this is common in some businesses but as a backup incase the main line freaks out, there is also cisco hardware for it

because someone might loose connection to the server, or because you got your car in the gravel and cant get out, never happened to me but its just to compensate for what dwb said about the tow trucks or repairs.

Since when I use my GFX card, it creates some horrid effects all over the place (see screenshots), and I use the HVS options to stop it, but since you removed this option, I cannot stop the effects.

please try to turn off write combine in windows instead of turning off hvs, i had a similar issue and it ended up being that option in windows to cause the missing triangles.

i agree with col here, i have the gameport msff and i use about 30-50% force and i can feel everything, any more force and its just nuts, the whole desk shakes and the monitor keeps jumping, kinda realistic

what does help is just act like a noob , so dont brake and just smash the car everywhere , its qiete fun !

i still visit the demo sometimes , and to be honest ive picked up gtr2 and doing a small league, OLT is great but it seems to be empty recently dunno what happened there, had some good races there and yeah the noobs dont help, im not the uber fast guy who only hotlaps but i like to go online and get some close and clean racing, beat some pb's, which seems to be impossible lately.

call me a freak but running around fe black in an lx6 alone for half an hour isnt fun, i know there might be more popular combos wich allow for closer racing, but its not like i only join full servers, im not a uf1 man, i hate the thing despite the close racing it provides and i believe sidi got it spot on, maybe the summer vacation helps and ill wait to see if santa brings a new track or something.
one more thing, if some of the redline/conedodgers admins happens to read this atleast consider changing some tracks.
