well i agree with kid, its nonsense that this kind of thing is posted, every time i look on these forums i see the most incredible posts (of course repeated a bazillion times either here or on rsc). seriously now if you turn off the sound in lfs doesnt it give you some more fps??? now if you turn off all the eye candy, aa, af and whatnot there is more fps??? i wonder if ther will be even more if i flip that button in my pc...

what makes me mad about this is that you can spin out easily if the driver in front wants it to happen, just keeping a bit slower speed out of a corner will make the next car coming out of the corner loose aero, even if he was keeping distance, so its really frustrating to spin out basicly when the other driver makes a mistake.

im no expert but that option is to force lfs to use port 80 to connect to servers. the servers dont run in port 80, your client will use it instead, you can't connect to them because i think udp is also needed.

ok, ive had this problem as i also connect from a lan, i share a house with univ. people, so we split a 2mb line. i found a little app called netlimiter
just install it in every pc and limit the bandwith each one can have, you can also set limits for each running program so you dont have to cap the overall speed. hope this helps.

i have the same problem as you vain, i thought that disabling the write combine box in windows would solve it despite the fps loss.
its odd though that only lfs crashes when i have it on, id like to hear scawen's opinion on this also.

i was very dissapointed with this game, it still has some bugs like in the demo, the cars are great, the tracks are the same in gtr with a bit more detail and some new short track configs.
the ffb is identical to gtr, and as in gtr my ms ff is always trying to turn to the left before starting the race. its not a bad game it feels to me like a mod to gtr and not a new game at all.
what i hated the most was the toca race driver style single player career, that is just too bad imo.

no problem, glad i could help, but i never heard of such patch, i think you mean the new version of agp filter? if it is so the agp filter is the same since v1.17, its currently at 1.21 even though the driver is still from 2003. so how did you solve your problem?
