I believe I just raced Kev, from here, but I didn't realise until after the race. At least someone called Kevin was moaning about how other drivers were faster etc. 
Anyway, it was a pretty fun and intense race for me, in the rookie solstice at laguna. I'd qualified on pole with a new pb of 1:47.960, so I thought the race would be relatively non hard work. However, and this isn't the first time this has happened, I left my gridbox as the lights went red,
meaning I had to take a stop-go. This meant I was dropped to the back obviously. I was determined to keep a top 5 record going, so I pushed like hell, had some great battles, two tiny contacts with other drivers although they didn't give me incident points, and ended up 3rd in the end. 
Edit: Kev, if you are struggling for speed, I find the solstice likes to be thrown around a lot. Also, trail braking is much more rewarding in iRacing I find than in LFS, as it helps get the rear of the car sliding in. The solstice likes being driven slightly sideways on full throttle, not too much though as you lose speed.

Since I had $10 iRacing dollars left, I went and bought the radical (only cost £2.50 
). Wow what an epic machine. It needs some fiddling with the setup to get rid of the understeer, but the sound and immersion you get with it is awesome. It's a twitchy bastard though.

That's because the car in Niel's video is physically completely different in every way, i.e. he rewrote the physics model for it. The modder's won't let him release the new physics though.
Just had my first decent race with any pressure. Started on pole, with Curtis Fung in second place who's qualifying time was 1:03.416. He really kept me under pressure for 7 laps, during which he was within 1 second of me, but then I pulled a tiny gap, and while I started to knuckle down with some fast laps he began to fade away until he must have had an excursion or something because he dropped back 10 seconds or so, and I could take the win. Hopefully I can start to work up the rankings a bit more now.
Well my PB is 01:03.345, and I normally get close to this in races. I might try using 4th from the uphill right hander though. I did try it briefly and the engine seemed to bog down too much, but I'll give it another go tomorrow.
After driving some laps in the rookie Solstice at Lime Rock, the gear ratios are very badly suited to that track. I'm on the limiter in 3rd through turns 5 and 6. The final turn is the only turn which works with 4th though.
I'll tell you whats really annoying me lately on Laguna Seca. It's in my nature to try and push the car as much as possible, and this means I often stick a couple of wheels of the road if I'm giving it a tad too much. I can't see why this should give me incident points. I'm not endangering anyone else, and I lose time doing so, so I already have enough incentive to stay on the track. IMO it's far too punishing, and should only give you incident points when you have 3 or more wheels off track, like the hlvc system in LFS.
Do you have steering in iRacing set to 900 degrees? Any less and it doesn't work in a linear fashion, and you get speed sensitive steering. 
Looks like it might even have 6 paddles, as normally you have 2 for the clutch operation.
I'm getting "this host requires a spectators password" when I try and spectate via lfsremote?
Good to see the hosts are connected to the insim relay now so we can spectate on lfsremote.

Haha, nothing that comes to mind..The IP is 213.171.193.89 . I've tried using a proxy and that works fine... Just to note I'm currently getting internet temporarily, via a usb mobile broadband dongle thingy.
The main site isn't working for me at the moment, it's constantly redirecting without loading anything?
