Damn! That's cheap, although I already bought the 7900GS last night. Looks like the 7800GTX would stretch my PSU a bit more anyway so never mind.

Haha Nah it's because this guy living next door (Uni Halls) has a new iMac, which has the zoom thingy, which means he can use it from his bed, and still be able to see text and stuff (wireless keyboard and mouse too). So I became overcome with jealously and since I watch the odd episode of SP before I go to bed, it would be cool if I had a similar utility.

That's better than some I've seen, but I'm specifically looking for one which doesn't have a seperate window, and rather zooms the whole screen.

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card, and I'd like to make sure I spend wisely.

What's the best card(s) in the 50 - 100 quid range? I prefer to pay more around the 50 quid area rather than 100 though. PCI-e BTW.

My PSU is an Antec Earthwatts 380W, which I know isn't super powerful, but I'm not after 2 8800GTX's in SLI..

I'm aware window's has one, but that's not what I'm after. Are there any fullscreen zoom utilities like the mac one for windows?

I did search on google, but the ones I found were either not fullscreen, or just zoomed in on a static screenshot.

Edit: Yeah just to clarify, the patch was a beta version of Y, so it had the new blackwood track etc etc. However the WR setups made in patch Y wouldn't load, hence us having to make our own on the day. Heikki however drove his time on the old version of blackwood, with the old physics from X.

The BF1 is most fun with no TC AND basically no DF. Try the attached setup, it's quite fun and driveable.

Yep, me, Jack (Clownpaint) and Ray (Bawbag).

Was a lot of fun, and we learnt a lot about the V1 project.

The simulator felt wierd or slightly alien, but was great fun to drive, and I think as we drove more we got used to the feeling of the big screen, and the (very) low driving position.

Ray's dad took some photos, so hopefully we will get to see them.

Mazz4200: Yeah I set render detail to medium and no more crashes. The game still looks reasonable too.

Yep they're installed. I'm happy using low detail for now. Is it my imagination or was there a good sound mod for RBR? Or any mods worth adding to the game?

Edit: I'm still getting some steering lag too after doing those fixes deggis wrote about.

Thanks for helping, I'll try some of the sound stuff out tomorrow. I use a core 2 Intel processor BTW.

Totally freezing is what happens. I've tested rendering quality on low, and it no longer crashes, but the game now looks horrible.

Is it then my graphics card causing this? It's quite old (ATI Radeon 9600XT).

Any suggestions for a good value new card? X1950 maybe?

BTW, why doesn't LFS soften the tree edges like in RBR (on high detail)?

I've now updated every driver that I can update, and the problem remains. It even sometimes freezes when asking to load a profile. This is proper pissing me off. Thanks for trying to help though.
