Race statistics / RTFR XL .mpr folder / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated during the week)

* PENALTIES :
SGマ MadJester - receives 10 seconds penalty added to his finish time for pit exit line violation.

- - - - - - - - - -

FXO V8Supercar is the very first mod car that was used more than once in RTFR XL - however just like on first try,the race was not highly attended as the over 600 horsepower car is quite a challenge which many did not wanted to take. Tyres turned out to be object of strategy - even if everyone selected R4 rears, the field was mixxed about front tyre selection as some (and mostly front runners) opted for grippier but temperature troubled R3 while some went for more consistent R4.

Records are made to be broken - current longest ever winning streak of 4 wins in RTFR XL was done by L.Paddewwa in 3rd to 6th RTFR XL,this tuesday this record was tied by M who has a chance of breaking it 4 weeks later. The lithuanian led all 22 race laps, with that scoring also his 200th lead lap in RTFR XL (now 6th most all time),leading also the last one to score his 6th RTFR XL race win, tying True Alpha for 4th most. He scored also his 8th pole position (now sole 4th most),5th fastest lap of the race and 10th top5 finish. Previous winner of this car and also combo selector R.Kardol was just 2nd this time and that in both sessions, repeating his best result of this season, scoring his 49th top5 finish. True Alpha was 2nd in race temporary after climbing up the field due his usual low qualifying result, but lost it due longer pitstop, finishing 3rd at the end - that's his 17th top5 finish. Sean scored his best result in RTFR XL by finishing 4th,which is 1 position higher than his only other top5 finish,top5 was closed by Ayoub Maroc, who scored his 8th top5 finish.

* FUN FACT OF THE MONTH :
...is not really fun at all from organization side - due to pretty much absolute lack of pre-event testing, this race had 1 lap shorter distance than it should had - distance is always calculated using best known laptime, however that was beaten during qualifying by full 4 seconds and improved even more in race. This led to shortest ever RTFR XL in terms of race time - with 75 minutes and 19 seconds the previous record was beaten by almost 40 seconds. If this lack of testing persists,we'll have to use qualifying time for distance calculation starting from next year (for non-standard combos only).

* CLOCK PITTER OF THE RACE :
Only 1 driver finished this race without any pitwork, therefor Rony is clock pitter for the 2nd race in row. 10.12 seconds work free pitstop did not bring much effort though as he finished 12th due rejoin (wrong setup on start). One of other usual clock pitters attempted to do same and would succeed only if he would not had underestimated tyre wear...

* FIELD RUSHER OF THE RACE :
+9 positions was the highest gain during the race, made by Michal "E-Challenger" Malek, who finished 8th starting from low 17th position,2nd best result was +5,achieved by 3 drivers.

VOD at Youtube:

Combo selection has been relayed to 3rd place finisher this time - M may not select as long as he has his winning streak alive and R.Kardol has selected twice this year, reaching the yearly limit, but True Alpha still has not replied about his choice,he has time until coming tuesday. Next week normal RTFR will celebrate it's 333rd edition - expect some more number threes in this race of threes, run with one of the road legal cars from past featuring 3 in it's name and using a triangle shaped engine components. But the most important nearest future info - this sunday we'll host our yearly endurance race 400km of Westhill for the 5th time! A total of 31 cars are up for selection as weapon of choice for the 18.34 kilometers track. Full info and link to signups in the INFO THREAD - don't miss out to take on our biggest challenge, this year livestreamed by SimBroadcasts.tv!

As promotion for electric powered cars FXO ELECTRIC was added as challenger car - it's pace with full pace is on par with PL200W class, however it's range is quite low. Unfortunatelly LFS does not support regeneration for AWD cars yet and LFS mods list does not feature a well made competitive 2WD car.

3 cars with challenger status have been added for entries that would like to participate, but don't want to deal with rather high pace of PL200W class cars.
Selected are both LFS GTI class cars and the only eligible staff pick mod.

Entries running cars with challenger status are exempt from mandatory pitstop requirement!

Car application denied as it has rollcage - that does not comply with generic road legal cars rules. Additionally the original car (MEMOLUTION 9) and all it's derivatives were checked - none of them would be acceptable (mostly due too high downforce).

Pitting rules:
Race requires a minimum time spent in pitstall of 10 seconds. That can be done either with single pitstop or sum of multiple pitstops. Driver who has spent less time will receive penalty time added to his finish time, which will be calculated by tripling the missing time to complete neccesary minimum time and adding additional 5 seconds. Drivers failing to pit at all will receive 1 minute penalty added to finish time (10s*3 + additional 30s).

I noticed this car has very unrealistically low drag value - according to LFS max possible speed is 240km/h (without taking tyre resistance into account),that's way too high for a 125hp car. Drag should by increased so the top speed is just above 200km/h - there is a real car as comparision for data.

Race statistics / RTFR .mpr folder / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

Time to time RTFR offers a properly though challenge and this tuesday it was turn of one of these - the 490 horsepower LFS's home grown GTR class car XRR was raced in Fern Bay,which is a challenge of it's own when using standard tracks. This tuesday we took scenic route instead of standard - Black XL configuration alters the normal course of the track and uses rallycross part of Fern Bay. Of course we're not absolute monsters,so we paved the dirt sections of rallycross part with some concrete, still the twisty turns posed plenty of challenge,so only the best were able to complete the 11 laps race without trouble and in high positions. Sadly the race itself was delayed due to some hiding cowards with destructive thinking, but with help of community and devs we could start a great race and it was still worth the waiting for both racers and spectators.

3rd most successful racer in RTFR history has seen his winning frequency drop in last year, but he still is able to rise to the top occasionally - R.Kardol was the one to beat this tuesday as he was the fastest in qualifying by 0.7 seconds and led all 11 laps of the race to finish first with 5 seconds gap over recently most dominant driver. That gathered up dutchman's 19th pole position (tied 3rd most all time) and 22nd race win, adding record extending 92nd top5 finish. After 3 wins in first 4 races of the scored season,M is winless in latest 5 races - also this tuesday only top performance spike was his fastest lap of the race on penultimate lap, scoring his 6th of these, while his top5 count reached the number of black jack - 21. 2nd most successful racer of RTFR Gábor finished 3rd in this race after gaining 3 positions from green to chequered (most between top6 finishers),scoring his 59th top5 finish. With a bit bigger gap to winner 4th was Arska confirming his standings of this year - 28 top5 finishes now are in his account,top5 was closed by Motimoukari, who repeated his best finishing position in series for the 2nd time.

VOD at Youtube:

This was the 1st of RGE's coincidental long track 3-race series - the 7.5 km Fern Bay configuration will be taken over by Kyoto's 9.9 km configuration named International. It will be used next week in RTFR XL with the 1st ever mod car that has a repeated appearance in the series - FXO V8Supercar,a 644 horsepower beast based on performance of australian based racing series. Full information will be posted tomorrow. The big finale of the 3-race long track series will be on sunday of next week - the 400km of Westhill will take place on an 18.34 km track, where due low average speed a lap is around 11 minutes long. Make sure you don't miss out the chance to be part of it as for the 1st time this event will be broadcasted live by SimBroadcasts - full information in this thread. For those willing to drive different car from already offered ones - car applications ends this sunday!

All-wheel-drive Winter Series 2024 final standings:

Championship spreadsheets

With a little extra delay it's time to announce the final results of AWS 2024 season. The 13th season was similar to previous season as once again each round featured different car. Cars ranged in weight between 600 kilograms and the tripple of that, while power had the biggest range in league's history as both lowest and highest values set new records. What did not set any records was attendance - 34 signups is 6 less than last year and lowest number in past 4 years. Also actual competitors count was 6 less than last year - 26,which is the lowest number in past 5 years,3 drivers missed the chance to get points this season. Average attendance also dropped - the 12.5 drivers per race is 1.8 less than last year, the highest attended was round 6 with 17 drivers, while season finale gathered up just 9 drivers.

AWS 2024 Drivers Champion: LLM.Sobis
Last season produced the 1st ever repeated AWS champion, this season repeated the same result with different driver - the 2019 AWS champion Sobis earned his 2nd title. The lithuanian won 3 of the 7 rounds this season, increasing his win count to 5 in total, finishing in top5 in another 2 rounds. His worst finishing position was 7th and he set fastest lap of the race in 2 rounds.

By scoring his 1st ever race win in round 6,Lorenzo made the decisive step towards securing 2nd place in championship, additionally keeping his main title hopes alive, but eventually italian had to settle for 2nd place in final standings, which is 2 positions better than his previous best achieved last season. Also his worst finishing position was 7th and in total he scored 5 top5 finishes, adding 2 pole positions to his stats. Vice champion of last season was around top of the table also this year - 2022 Rookie of the year finished 3rd in standings, which is his average position from both previous seasons. The best finn of the season did not win any races, however he finished on podium in 3 races in row with 2nd place finish in round 5 as his best result, scoring another 2 top5 finishes through the season. The defending champion A.Valta did not sign up this season, leaving the title up for grabs for others.

AWS 2024 Rookie of the Year: S. Martin
It is a bit weird to announce one of the most seasoned racers in various leagues as top rookie, but that's how it works - without previous AWS experience,S.Martin joined the league this season and scored most points between all newcomers of AWS. He finished 7th in overall standings, scoring 2 5th place finishes as best result while he also qualified 4th once. By missing 3 rounds,RD2 lost the season long back and forth shuffle for top rookie position and finished 2nd in standings. The 2023 VERL champion finished in top5 in 3 of his 4 attended rounds, finishing 2nd to his teammate in round 6. Last year's best rookie with backwards spelled name did not sign up for his 2nd try in AWS.

AWS 2024 Cross Challenge winner: LLM.Sobis
The overall champion did pick up also both minor awards - in Cross challenge he beat his main rival by 5 points in final standings, winning one race, finishing 3rd and 4th in other two. The main rival was Lorenzo, who scored his both pole positions and his only win during this competition, however had to settle for runner up position. Also here the defending champion was A.Valta, who did not join this season.

AWS 2024 Oval Trophy winner: LLM.Sobis
Allthough one of the wins was actually gifted, but in history Sobis won 2 of the 3 Oval trophy rounds, finishing strong 3rd in the other one - that secured him the award with 19 points gap over his countryman Trespasser, who finished 2nd in both rounds Sobis won. The defending award winner Thehemuli finished 4th this season, scoring a single podium finish.

AWS 2024 Teams Champions: Race Green Autosports
For the 2nd year in row and 7th overall the hosting team brought home the teams title, this year having the main points scorer in 2nd place in individual standings. Besides the win and 2 pole positions,RGA gathered up a total of 10 top5 finishes. World Class Lions have been around a lot in AWS and this season was a repeat of their best ever performance - 2nd place in teams championship, previously achieved 2016,where they lost out the title just by 5 points. This season they had to "settle" for 2nd place with much bigger gap - 57 points. Their best driver Arska finished 4th in overall standings and he was the one to score all team's 4 top5 finishes. The team of the main champion Last Lap Motorsports finished 3rd in standings due to sole performance of their only active driver.

AWS 2024 Nations Cup winners: Finland
With 41 points gap over main rival the Nations cup was secured by Finland for the 3rd season in row. Finns scored a total of 2 race wins,12 top5 finishes,2 pole positions and 2 fastest laps of the race. The 5-time champions Lithuania got stronger this season and clinched the vice champions title after 1 year of absense and that was achieved by only 2 drivers. Their total tally includes 3 race wins,8 top5 finishes,1 pole position and 4 fastest laps of the race. The last step on nations podium was taken by Italy, which was carried up by sole performance of the series vice-champion Lorenzo.

Race Green Events thanks all participants and wishes much success in all other leagues and events they are taking part. We hope you enjoyed racing in AWS and you all get much fun and valuable experience from the races.
Feel free to use this thread and share your experience through out the series!

Currently there are no specific plans regarding the 2025 AWS season, but it's very likelly we'll shorten the season once again due to under average attendance of this season. Otherwise the format of each round featuring different car will be kept and return of Megawatt award is under question as there are still no proper quality AWD cars with electric propulsion.
In just over 2 weeks RGE will offer the chance to challenge our hardest single race event of the year - the annual Westschleife race this year will be extended to 400 kilometers once again. Full info and signups have been posted last weekend, another announcement regarding the event will follow. This year the event allows to apply other cars, also non competitive ones in spirit of famous Opel Manta, which has been around a certain real world event with similar spirit.

* PENALTIES :
tomce. - receives a warning for low driving standards and lack of awareness of surroundings.

- - - - - - - - - -

South City with it's famous chicane hosted a nerves cracking race once again, however that was rather different at the top of the field, where positions were unchanged as the action was held from position 4 downwards. Despite the tricky racetrack, this round gathered up highest attendance of the season with 28 qualifyers,3 of them however did not start,so we had 25 drivers on grid, representing 16 different car models.

First 3 rounds of the season had the same 2 drivers finishing top2,just switching positions, this round there is a brand new top2 - J.Lavrikov received a Nortz XRT2 for this round and used it well to take all the glory from this round as he was fastest in qualifying, set the fastest lap in the race and finished 1st by leading all 25 laps. The defending champion R.Kardol however was chasing him hard through whole race, finishing just 0.69 seconds behind the race winner, converting his 2nd place in qualifying to 2nd place finish with the BZ30 Roadster. One of the season's top2 drivers was demoted to 3rd place this round, finishing 12 seconds behind race winner with his all wheels driven 3-cylinder XF Garis.

The other top2 driver J.Holmes already before the round announced his non-attendance,losing lead in standings to M who is now 19 points clear of the englishman. 3rd is still RD2 with 27 points gap to leader. The defending champion has climbed up to 7th position in standings.

No changes in top of the teams championship - B2R once again scored most points in the round (this time tied most) and keeps running away from competition as they're already 30 points ahead of defending champions RGA. But there is a change in 3rd position - WCL has taken it,but is already 91 points away from top of table. Exactly same situation is in nations championship - Lithuania keeps scoring most points and pulling away from defending champions Finland, but the gap here is so much bigger as it has reached 59 points. UK is still 3rd another 17 points off. In manufacturers championship BZ30 has taken the provisional lead, currently having 0.75 points advantage over XF Coupe,Talot lost the lead and dropped down to 3rd position.

The randomizer this time prefered the AWD XF version named Garis as it was drawn for 5 drivers,2 of them did not arrive however. Talot is now the sole most drawn car with 36 draws over 14 rounds, closelly followed by BZ30 and Imprezzive B2 which both have one less. There were plenty of new best achievements for car models, most significant one was 1st ever pole position and race win for the Nortz XRT2. Previous best results were 3rd position in qualifying and 4th in race which was achieved twice. R.Kardol repeated BZ30's best finishing result 2nd place finish. XF Garis previous bests were 12th in qualifying and 11th in race - these were shattered by M,who improved both results by 8 positions. Right next in results was another best result for a car - 4th place finish for Mandula was 4 positions better than previous best race result in the Stellar, also 7th place in qualifying was exactly 4 positions better. Saliva15's best results were also improved - Thehemuli qualified 14th (improvement by 3) and finished 11th to improve best race result by 7 positions. Lorenzo improved Dorito's best finishing result to 12th position, previous best position 16th was already repeated twice. With 3 cars an initial best result was set as these were not used before - best of them was Jsk,who scored 15th place in both sessions with the famous Godzilla replica GT-V34. Motimoukari was the 1st to try the newest addition to cars lineup Freud Serra - he qualified 25th and finished 20th. The new driver Tomce was the first to try Roku Troeno and qualified with it last position - 28th,however his driving was not safe enough to allow him to race, therefor the car's best race result is yet to be set.

The track for round 5 has not been decided yet - the race winner has time to reply the message until end of the week and he will have choice between Fern Bay and Autocross. Fern Bay might receive already 3rd visit by RandomCar,just like South City already did.
