Well, all the decisions are up to you - you have to decide for what purposes the car is and if you want to be it more like real counterpart or more own imagined version of model to fit the class. I just was pointing out the lack of competitivity regarding TBO class performance.

Many mods have derivatives allowed (like this one: https://www.lfs.net/files/vehmods/702A5D ) which means they are open to modification (you can download the original archive from that link). I just hope you can be more creative and don't do some power increase mod - there are way too many of those...

Quote :Made to match with tbo class.

But it does not match with the TBO class - I'm checking all approved cars to be added in RandomCar lineup which is based on LFS TBO class performance (slightly lowered performance due balancing as FXO and XRT needs slowing down) and despite all my tries, this car was still 0.4 seconds off target pace in Blackwood GP track. I asked for testing in our discord server and few guys who tested could not overturn my decision of car being uncompetitive. And if it's "just" 0.4 seconds off hotlap pace, the real problems start with racing more than couple laps as the relativelly narrow tyres overheat more than those of other cars in the class.

Well, tyre width is one of the problems holding this car up,probably suspension type might be other one - probably trailing arm rear can be an obstacle of being competitive (must be confirmed by better setup creators) as all other cars with rear wheel drive have more advanced type.

Pitting rules:
Race requires a minimum time spent in pitstall of 10 seconds. That can be done either with single pitstop or sum of multiple pitstops. Driver who has spent less time will receive penalty time added to his finish time, which will be calculated by tripling the missing time to complete neccesary minimum time and adding additional 5 seconds. Drivers failing to pit at all will receive 1 minute penalty added to finish time (10s*3 + additional 30s).

Some historic stats:
Last race won by: B2マ M - 2 wins in row
Last LX6 race won by: S1DUS*R.Kardol - 2 wins in row (53rd RTFR XL - International w/o Chicane)

In the very simple rules of RTFR and other RGE hosted series there is a rule [...]avoid any contacts with other cars[...]. When using cars with closed wheels,RGE usually makes an exception to allow bumpdrafting if done in safe way as bumper to bumper contact is realistic. However bumpdrafting with open wheel cars has always been a no-go as only LFS physics uncompleteness allows that, but actually is unrealistic, therefor not accepted. Unfortunatelly some decided to ignore that,so here's the result of that.

* PENALTIES :
[WCL] True Alpha - receives a warning for bumpdrafting.
B2マ TωϊnCΔm - receives 30 seconds penalty added to his finish time for bumpdrafting in multiple occasions.
B2マ Ayoub_MaRoC - receives a warning for bumpdrafting.
GT4tube - note. Allthough you were technically not breaking any rules, the idea of your behaviour is not understandable. RTFR racing is a competition where drivers normally yearn to achieve best possible result,so it's questionable if pitting almost every lap fits with spirit of competitional racing. No actual action will be taken against you,we're just hoping your behaviour in future won't pose a problem to people who actually are racing.

The Formula XR,better known under it's abbreviation "FOX" is the most online used car of LFS besides all three demo cars, gaining it's popularity from it's rather low difficulty and relativelly high pace. The car run in Westhill's International configuration is considered quite a classic - there was even a throwback race few years ago in an older LFS version where International was still the only configuration of Westhill. During all these years and over 300 races this classic combo was never used in RTFR,this week we finally filled this gap with a typical 30+ minutes race with FOX in Westhill International. A total of 34 drivers were atracted to this event, one of them did not start, however all 33 starters completed the 50% distance requirement to be counted as finished, therefor setting a new RTFR finishing record - 100% with 33 finishers, beating 2 weeks ago set record of 100% with 28 finishers.

As usually having an official world record is a prerequisite of success also in online race. A racer previously known as Gábor under other name joined RTFR after missing 3 events and took another full set of achievements this tuesday. In both sessions mr F.Boss was the only one to beat 1:50 minutes laptime mark, scoring his 25th pole position and record tying 28th fastest lap of the race. Even if the 3 seconds gap over the finish line does not sound so convincing, the hungarian led all 18 laps (tying Botsi also for most races led at 39 a piece) to finish ahead of everyone else to score his 32nd RTFR race win and 58th top5 finish. His rather new teammate Zesty scored his best ever qualifying result - 2nd (improvement by a single position) in RTFR and kept the same position also when crossing the finish line to score his 8th top5 finish. Next 2 finishers represented the creators of FOX Junkies - Ohnifus repeated his best qualifying result and finished 3rd,scoring his 3rd top5 finish, his new teammate Rex also repeated his best qualifying result, but improved his previous best finishing result 12th to 4th place finish in his 3rd completed RTFR race. The 10th most successful driver in RTFR True Alpha completed the top5 with his 25th entry in it.

VOD at Youtube:

In 2 weeks RTFR will return with a street legal car - as broadcaster said,it will be a "Miata type thing" (not an entirely correct assumption),more hints still can be heard from commentators - as always that's all the info you can get about next combo, full info will be posted in the weekend before the race. However next tuesday in RTFR XL we will be racing a "Catherham type thing" (which is closer to reality) - the LX6 has been selected to be raced in South City, full details about this race will be posted today. Another note from RGE - feel free to save the date of 19th may if you are interested to take on our annual challenge of endurance racing - the extended Westschleife will be avaiting racers with it's 11 minutes long circuit. Currently there have not been any objections to distance re-increase to 400 kilometers, making the event to one of the most difficult 4 hour races.

...and more drag - 259km/h theoretical max speed is very unrealistic for a 160hp car, while it should not produce downforce from undertray as it simply does not have one. Not sure if shocks going through tyre is correct either - even if it's just a schematic diagram in garage,I doubt there is that much offset possible...

Wow,compliments - you are a really great car builder!
You made a car that is over 200 kilograms lighter than the original and generates downforce of a top tier GTR car without visible elements, must be some high-tech solutions to hide all the adjustable aerodynamic devices. I'm sure you're getting plenty of compliments about great car every day... ...from not knowing kids

* PENALTIES :
Spiderman™ - receives 10 seconds penalty added to his finish time for pit exit line violation.

- - - - - - - - - -

Previous round was rather dominated by a single model, this wasn't that much different - half of top8 qualifyers including polesitter were running with the BZ30 Roadster, however the race took a slightly different course. The attendance this season is quite consistent - every round was attended by 26 or 27 drivers,in this round all 26 started and completed the 50% distance to be classified in results. Before this round 5 new cars were added to lineup, however just 2 of those were drawn - a total of 7 drivers had a chance to score first result for those, just one arrived.

The duel that started on season opener kept going also in this round - M versus J (.Holmes) were also the main candidates for race win in Blackwood. The briton got drawn the car he was able to beat in round 1 - Talot with which he set the 2nd fastest lap in qualifying and that's the best ever qualifying result for the car (improvement by 1 position). 2nd was his position also during most of the race, but after some struggles in last 1/3 of the race J.Holmes finally found a way pass his rival to seize race lead and kept it over last 2 laps to cross the finish line 1st,scoring his 2nd race win in RandomCar. M also got a car his rival had before - the BZ30 brought him to pole position, but the narrower tyres and higher weight eventually was the obstacle to keep the lead and the lithuanian had to settle for 2nd place finish. Best of the rest this time was the defending champion R.Kardol, who navigated the heaviest car in the field from the 7th position on grid to the podium scoring position, that included close battle for 3rd position in late stage of the race.

Top of the table after 3 rounds of 10 is tied - 70 points a piece for both J.Holmes and M,however the briton currently holds the top position through tiebreaker as he has 2 wins against M's single win. 3rd position is now taken by RD2 who is already 23 points behind both leaders. The defending champion after 1st attendance in the season resides in 14th position.

In top11 positions of drivers championship only a single privateer and single Zafiralis driver are not part of current top2 teams of teams championship,so it's no wonder that both lead standings by rather large gap. B2R has been most productive with points scoring in all 3 rounds, therefor they are leading the standings by 27 points over defending champions RGA. The new 3rd position in standings is Zafiralis, already 73 poins apart from leaders. Lithuania scored the highest points count in the season in round 3 and increased their lead in nations championship to 40 over defending champions Finland. Top3 of standings remains in status quo as UK is still 3rd,just 4 points apart from 2nd position. Provisional lead in manufacturers championship is now taken by winner of the latest round Talot, half a point ahead of previous leaders XF Coupe Turbo. 3rd is BZ30 which is the best car with 3 scores - minimum 6 are required to be eligible for championship.

Both most drawn cars Talot and Imprezzive B2 got same amount of draws also for this round,so they stay in lead with 34 draws a piece. With 4 draws BZ30 tied URC1 for 2nd most draws - 32. Additionally there were plenty of best position improvements for cars - the most impressive one was the 1st ever pole position for BZ30 (previous best was 2nd position),while his 2nd place finish was just a repeat. R.Kardol scored the 1st podium finish for CZR,which was also improvement by a single position. 136 improved both qualifying and finishing best results for Coquette - 3rd position in qualifying is 2 positions better than previous best achievement, while his 4th place finish is just one position better. Only 2 drivers have ever driven the XF Garis - Rony improved his own set best results in both sessions,12th position in qualifying is improvement by 2 while 11th position in race is 8 positions better. The league debutant J.Lavrikov received Fend Torus base model for his 1st appearance, his 14th position in qualifying is an improvement by 6 positions. Lorenzo is the only driver who raced a new car and set first achievements for it - 16th in qualifying and 12th in race.

Round 4 will also take place in april as with 4 weeks gap between rounds it can happen once a year. The venue will be South City's Chicane Route in reversed direction, where a 25 laps long race will take place. Current information says the duel between both leaders might not be continued there as J.Holmes will be travelling at that date, let's hope someone else can step in and make a proper competition at least in next round. Also between the latest and next round a voting for additional car will take place in our discord channel - it will be started on saturday.

Race statistics / RTFR .mpr folder / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

RTFR is known for running all kinds of cars - some are easier to handle, some difficult. The latest race was deffinitelly on the difficult side - late 60ies sports car with plenty of power, low weight and grip of road tyres was a challenge even for the most skilled. Car was no stranger to RTFR - less than 2 years ago it was selected in RTFR XL,where it was raced in the longer Kyoto GP Long configuration, this week the more sprintish format with shorter track and shorter race length. Track was not a very complicated - pretty much the same Aston National, just with a scenic route alternativelly to the normal route of cadet's part.

Same car, same winner - R.Kardol celebrated race win back then in XL with this car,so he was kinda bound to repeat it. The dutchman qualified 2nd and from outside of front row he eventually took race lead on lap 1 and kept it after some struggles with competition early on. Despite not beating the 1:46 mark in qualifying,he was the only one to crack it during the race - that's his 15th fastest lap of the race, but more important - the 21st race win in RTFR,while he rounded up the top5 count to 90. The driver of the season M was the fastest in qualifying to score his 6th pole position (4th this year alone),but he lacked the consistency in the race, having to recover at least a 2nd place finish, taking the 6th top5 finish out of 6 races this season,19th top5 finish overall. The finnish duel for 3rd position was won by Unite, barely beating his countryman over the finish line - that's 78th top5 finish for him. Arska had to settle for 4th place finish, improving his season's best by a position,27th top5 overall for him. Top5 was closed by someone who also improved his season't best by a single position - Thehemuli finished 5th already more than half a minute apart winner, scoring his 8th top5 finish from 75 overall finishes.

VOD at Youtube:

As some might noticed from broadcast,in 2 weeks RTFR will run a rather classic combo of LFS,that has never been used in RTFR,full details as always in the weekend before it,however next week the server will be "loaned out" to RandomCar - the 3rd race of the 2024 season will be run in Blackwood and there is plenty of fresh stock in the league's cars list.

These have been quite productive few weeks in mods department as there have been several waves of mod approvals, which per definition adds also the eligible cars to RandomCar cars lineup by default. A total of 5 cars have been added to the list, which consists now of 34 cars, however 3 are still not awailable due the strengthened checks. Here are all 5 new entries in alphabetical order:

FEND TORUS T joins it's heavier stock counterpart in the lineup - besides weight reduction,it has also wider tyres and reduced drag compared to stock version. It is set with 30% intake restriction for balancing.

Another AWD addition to lineup is the famous "Godzilla" - a replica of late 90ies japanese sports coupe, the GT-V34 was actually in the voting twice for being added to RC lineup, but did lost it to other cars. The car requires 8% restrictor to keep it in pace of other cars.

Coincidentally there is another car that joins it's model counterpart, but this time it's other way round - IMPREZZIVE C8 is the weaker version of B2 modification with less original power, slightly lighter and has narrower tyres. With 8% air restrictor it will be balanced to PL200 class.

The lightest car between newly added is ROKU TROENO,which received 80kg weight ballast to be on same performance as the rest of the PL200 class. It should benefit from low average speed twisty tracks with it's agility.

Despite being advertised as front-mid-engined car,we'll keep it simple and add the VSI-V2000 to the list of FR cars. The car is by default on same pace as PL200 class cars,so it will not be restricted from start, but we'll keep an eye on it's performance as with some setups developement it might be needed to slow it down.

If there are any new cars approved between now and next round, they will be added to RC lineup only after next round, however the 3 currently unpublished cars will be checked for republishing just before 1st draw wave before confirming them being suspended for next round.
