Davo, the engine sound is standard. The distortion makes the thing sound a bit meaner, but the trade-off is a bit of dcrackling.
Yeah, it just turned out like that. I'm sure there is a reason for it, but I haven't investigated. From mucking around, I found the distortion sounds great in some cars and not so good in others e.g. F08.
I agree. Very nice audio/visual journeyof motorsport goodness.
I think it would have been further enhanced by some occasional external shots.

I'm not really sure why you would want to do this, as the controls are completely optimised for a console gamepad and not a wheel.
In fact, I'm not sure why you would want to even play this game on a PC at all. The game is designed for consoles; leaning back on the couch and going postal for hours on end. Just as it should be.
The PC is designed for in depth sims, strategy and FPS. Let the consoles have their time in the sun with the awesomeness that is the GTA franchise.
