this is really interesting: everytime we get an addition to the game, which brings the game more to realism people like it. or in other words. everytime someone suggesting something which is arcady, people go mad on his back.
NOW with the forced view, everything is totally different.
however i don't like the idea forcing people to use a specific kind of view. what's next? force people to use a clutch-pedal? or an lfs-certified steering wheel?
i have a crazy idea for a new insim mod. make it like a game, where you can select a car and a track. and then you can race online with other people... no wait...
car editing was possible, and was taken out again for several reasons.
modding has been mentioned a quadrillion of times the devs are not going to make any attempts to make this happen (sadly) but also understandable, as the game has no final aeromodel (deforming parts do not have any effect on the power or driveability of a car)
i wish modding and stuff would be possible with this game, but it won't happen (because not only the devs don't want it, but also lots of narrow minded people in lfs don't want it. and they'll fight against it until the bitter end...)
balancing the gtrs makes no sense. in the end we have 3 cars which are the same speed but look different. which means we have 1 car with 3 body-kits. WOW....
the only difference: FXR is 4WD and the FZR uses a bit more fuel... these cars should be much more different in my opinion, not balanced out...
not sure what this should fix, but it did not fix, the problem, having the correct positions and splits on lfs-world race progress bars on AU1 and on BL3 it does not even show you are on BL in lfsworld. it tells you: "you are on track" and then nothing.
at least a race-position would be something good to have on the top right in the client, but this is not the right forum i know...
great tool! this will help me and lfscar in next race alot. as we are going to have a race on autocross. and it displays the position which is not visible in lfs anymore.
it also tells the people who are they fighting against which is also kind of cool!
awsome work. can you put a readme file into the archive, just to explain all the .cfg settings.+
i have two tiny request. can you write out RCM messages again somewhere. i have the problem, that people don't see the RCM messages from race control when they have a blueflag, or yellow flag. in our league the admins trigger different rcm messages to tell the drivers if there is the Pacecar out (e.g. full course yellow, pits are open, close gaps to single file, last lap under pacecar,... stuff like that)
so my request is something like this:
just a repeat of the RCM message somewhere on the screen (top or bottom) so it can't be covered by any blue and yellow flag messages.
is this possible, this would be a REALLY great help.
i have one more request: is it possible to have some indicator telling you if you are a lap down and not in the same lap with the leaders?
you could make all those things switchable (on/off) so people who do not need this things don't have to use it. like with the other things in your great tool.
thanks for the information. maybe i can learn this by myself. maybe...
i will not ask you becky, because i know in what kind of "work" you are a the moment. and as far as i know, this "work" needs the time and will also bring lfs a step further.
let's see, if i can bring this to work by myself...
are you talking about the "nordschleife" or the modern nürburgring?
+1 for nordschleife
-1 for modern nürburgring
but i think the problem is: the devs are not going to give out any development tools at the moment. this means, only the devs can model the whole thing, which means it takes ages to have the complete track in a acceptable quality.
becky, can you give me more details on this, because you know, i have problems with the RCM as well during the cautions. when lapped people don't see the RCM FULL COURSE YELLOW and stuff.
i like the idea of having the grid in the correct order... the problem in lfs is, we don't have a system that checks this and gives a guide for the drivers in LFS.
in lfscar, it is a bit different with the lapped cars and the leaders go to pit.
we stay out the first lap with pits only open for wrecks. when the pacecar is in front of the leader, the pits are open for everyone. if the leaders pit in, and there is a lapper in the front of the pack, then right behind of the pacecar when the leaders pit in, he is allowed to pass the pacecar as well. but this has nothing todo with lucky dog rule in lfscar. lucky dog is still the first car that is a lap down in the rankings. just to make it easy. drivers have enough problems to follow all rules during a Caution at the moment...
