i think 1024 is mid range quality but enough for gaming. i am not sure if i will pay for 1024 skins though, because when i look at my skinsX folder, there are over 3000 skins in it and the most of them are crappy anyway. so why spending money for transferring crappy skins to my computer.

people who making videos can ask the drivers to get a better resolution and in leagues there is often a collection of the league driver-skins in hires for movie makers.

i make all my skins in 2048.
with 2048 you can have nice looking movies and stuff and when watching replays it is more then enough. at least on my screen with 1280x800 resolution.


not sure if 4096 (as it is 4 times the size of 2048x2048 which is 4 times the size of 1024x1024) would pay up for the ddtails as long as you don't go really into detailed shots in movies. 4096 is a bit of overload in my opinion.

i am not sure or stupid, but is there a UNDO-function???

also all standard cntr+ functions as:
control+c = copy an object or group
control+v = paste an object or group

shift+move = the object moves either horizontal or vertical on a straight line

rotating a group of objects in 1° steps

+10° when right-clicking the degreebutton

i like the object line tool though, there should be an option how far the objects are devided by each other

that watcher thing would be awsome. so people can race on autocross and see where there is a wreck during normal races there!

i have a question: is the global balancing always applied to the car or only when there is a FXR AND a e.g. a FZR on track.
so when i run a server just with XRR available, there is no need for balancing them down with 50kg because everyone is running the same car.

the kyoto ring is a trioval, okay why not, but it is not the typical "oval" in nascar. nascar has about 30 tracks and only 4 of them are tri-ovals (pocono, dytona, taladega and phoenix). btw. nascar races on 4 circuit tracks this season (watkins glen, sonoma, montreal gilles-villneuve, and Mexico City) so tri-ovals are as common as circuit tracks in nascar.

EDIT: Pocono is a tri-oval, but it has more the characteristic of a circuit track, as the 3 turns have almost no banking at all so:

2 of the 4 nascar-tri-ovals are superspeedways, phoenix is a shorttrack, and pocono is pocono.

kyoto is classified as a normal speedway track (not a super-speedway) as it is only 1.8 miles in length BUT you can full throttle there with almost all cars. this is probably because of the lack of a proper V8 stock car. normal speedway characteristic is when you have to lift the gas on some parts.

so we have a tri-oval which is not common in general AND also a tri-oval which isn't a superspeedway.

one more thing: most of the ovals in nascar have banked straights. on the kyoto oval the straights are on the biggest part flat which makes the outer line in 90% of the cases the slowest as it is the longest line. however there are nascar tracks which have logarithmic bankings which makes the shortest line and the outer line equal in speed. so people don't have to cross from left to right as it is now. they just can stay high without any problem. (e.g. the new bristol track will be made like that)


so i think to get real nascar felling we need at least: a Super-speedway, a speedway Track (Kyoto), a Short-track and a V8 car, asymmetric tire changes, an automatic pace car-system, flying starts and of course a proper aero model with air cushion. did i miss something?

but yep FXR/XRR on kyoto on FM servers is the closest we can get at the moment.

i have nothing against competition as it is in fair lanes. but with the 360 in the servers name, this is wrong! i just want to make it clear, that LFSCAR has nothing to do with those servers.

Hi dear racing friends.

i just want to inform everybody, that the server called [360-R] Nascar Racing

has

NOTHING TO DO WITH LFSCAR and the 360degree.tk CUP SERIES!


They are trying to steal the good reputation of lfscar and the 360° cup. This is close to stealing and if LFSCAR is getting more of those posts i got from drivers who were unsatisfied about those servers and blaming me for it by mistake i will make this legal! At the moment i am not sure who is running it (but i have a clue). if these servers are not renamed within the next weeks i can hand over this to some authority.

I put too much time and money into lfscar and the 360° cup series to let it steal by any 12 year olds.

LFSCAR is running on the server called "[FM]360° Event!" for almost a year now. At the moment it runs under PATCH "W17" so people on Patch "W" BE WARNED!!! every other server that has 360 in it IS A FAKE and NOT RUN BY ME OR LFSCAR OR FRAGMASTER.NET

however i think it should be a layer above. so leagues actually use their own marshals and rulesets. whenever a driver thinks, the decisions of the leagues marshal was wrong, he can call the LFSMC for help, which will be something like high court which can overrule the leagues marshal.

as an league admin. i think getting help in stewarding races is always a +1

as it is now, lfscar will
- review all incidents which led to a Caution-Phase and the actions under caution
- review all incidents which were brought in post-race by a driver via the Report-thread

ok guys, i know i've asked this 4 or 5 times by now. but i never got an answer to it:

How many cars are possible on Autocross AU1? is it still 16 like in the older patches or are there more now? i hope i can get an answer before the 14th of may, as we will have an event on that date. and i did not manage to motivate enough people to join a autocross server to find it out myself.

so once again:

HOW MANY CARS ARE THE MAXIMUM ON AUTOCROSS AU1?

stcc system is already a part of LFS. everyone who wants to race there is free to do so. every league who wants to use the requirement of a e.g. silver license for inscription can do as well.

i don't see the point to have it on ALL servers. the stcc servers are mainly for circuit racing. a high license on circuit will tell you nothing about drag, oval, drift, banger, cruise skills. however it will tell you something about the racing behavior of that person and of course it will teach you general racing manners and rules.

i am not sure if all of you remember, there was a point system in lfs included which was deleted after patch S??? because it was pointless.


i even think, expanding the system to all servers will downgrade the quality of the license itself because you can just setup a server and exploit the system by doing your own races and pushing people. e.g. setup that server take your team on the road and race against each other. sooner or later you will find out how to get the most points in the least time and then the system will be pointless again.

the stcc system is a great thing like it is now. it adds a lot of competition and quality to lfs. why decrease the quality by increase the amount of servers?

i am not sure if this a bug or intended but i managed to get ai drivers on the autocross pad. they ref up but after the lights get green, they don't move and there is a msg: "Ai driver: no route" for every AI car.

i will now try to reproduce it and post a screenshot.

okay this is the way:

go to single player, select any track except autocross. Add some ai drivers. change track to autocross and start the race.

sorry sören, but for AU1 there is no pth file available at that link. only AU3 and AU4. allthough i don't know what AU3reverse and AU4reverse is. as the dragstrip has no reverse layout as far as i know. and i cannot select them either in the dropdown of tv director when i copy those files into the tv-director

i've just found the documentation. looks like lot of work to make his own path files...

i am just fair enough to tell you that there is already an oval league out there. its not advertisment at all its just for the fact you don't have to do it yourself as it is A SHIT LOAD OF WORK.

on the other hand i COULD say:
"don't start doing the same thing as i am running as it is UNFAIR. i am not into trouble, i just want you to know that there is something like you are going to do already on the market and i put time, money, time and my guts into it to run it and don't let it be stolen by anyone."

but this is not what i am going to do, so here is my offer:

why having some fight about it and just let us combine it and profit from a full grid. when you say its impossible as you will run it on US-time i won't have a problem with it. i was just informing you...
