Did something got changed to the pedal options or such ?
When I push in the throttle pedal it doesn't go to full in LFS. The brake one does though. All is allright with the calibration and the wheel, it's no pedal problem. Raced before this morning in Z, updated just now this evening, problem occurs now.
Kind of a poor review to be honest, I had expected more content, not just rating on 'standard setup', 'skins' and that dashboard thingy.
Yeah, we know what we know. And we surely know better than the 75 overall score.
Your point being ? Afaik MoE (or was it IGTC?) also banned tyre warming after a similair pile up behind SC in one of their South City races. It has well founded and logical reasons to disallow it and avoids a lot of nonsense.
Not only this crash, but I also saw several FZRs "warming up their tyres" by going left, right at 50 km/h and going into the grass several times, barely holding their car together and avoiding a spin. It's dangerous and the effect is so low... Few easy laps in the start and you right away have hot tyres; this is endurance racing last time I checked, not a freaking sprint race where every corner counts.
Car #17 appearantly had the habit to speed up - brake a lot during the tyre heating, I found that pretty annoying. On the moment of the crash we were in sector 4, which means get in close formation. I saw in front of me people getting in double lines, which was my intention, though car #17 didn't saw me coming on the right though (which should have been my position).Car #17 was also suddenly braking, while I don't really see the need for such a sudden brake action on the long straight. This caused us to collide, we both ended up in the grass and I was unable to control my FZ2 in the grass, hence the spin. Could I have braked heavier ? Very likely, though I was a bit nervous and watching several things (eg. also the car behind me who was close). The cars behind me neither responded superb; they just drove into me, surely on the left of the track there was room...
If penalties are being given for this I'd make it a rulechange penalty: NO more tyre heating up actions. They lead to trouble, confusion and accidents like this (as there is no communication between the drivers from seperate teams).
No protest has been submitted (no reason to either, just placing it here as it seems appropiate), however I'd like to excuse myself for the crash caused during the SC period in the second lap before the race start. The car in front of me (7Karat) speeded up, I went closer as we were in sector 4, and either the car lagged or braked very hard it's not clear to me (have to check replay) and I simply bumped into his rear, got on the grass and we both spun, taking others with us. Nothing I could do about it, nevertheless my excuses.
Just in general I'd already like to make a remark: work on your "tyre heating" please. Speeding up - braking - speeding up - braking - speeding up - ... is not really how you have to do that. Especially not if you speed up in a turn and on the straight afterwards really go stand on the brake back to like 50 km/h. Not only dangerous, but I doubt it has any (positive) effect on your tyres.
Thanks NDR admins for hosting, was a decent first endurance racing experience.
I just hope to be informed asap if it was indeed something bad and if there is the chance of someone else having obtained my password. Cause I might be very screwed if that's the case...
If they also say that I have no life because I friendly propose them to try to log in on a different hour if possible, then yes.
First of all, my argument is not wrong.
Secondly, look, my friendly advice of "change your online time" is possible when the difference of timezone is less large. Obviously in your case this is not possible (which I did not knew nor bothered to look up). Or short put; sucks to be you. You can always try putting up a league yourself or look for a national community forum; where you can get in touch with other racers in your timezone. Or tell your friends (and those friends their friends, ect) to get LFS.
No, what I said is nowhere near the same of what the opening poster stated.
Why not do an easier PayPall donation simply and purely for the maintaince, sever, and other costs ? I believe you can set it so it collects for example €500, once that donation amount is achieved the donating button goes offline. No ?
Though, I do most say, some prize money gets the news and makes leagues so called pro. (ESL eg.) Though for the GTAL this would be bad, but for the IGTC or the 500 KY1 laps race this is a good motivator and very nice.
My quick cents, got to rush now. I'll see what I can chip in though as individual.
I have no life cause I stay up one hour later on some weekdays for good racing ?
How do you come to this conclusion kiddo ?
And really, blaming the lack of patches or updates for not racing is incredibly morronic. But I guess this is part of the younger generations, eyecandy, updates and new toys is all they care
Quit complaining and making completely faulty arguments.
about. What about having fun with what you have ? Isn't that good enough already ? How many of those complaining about the "lack of updates that's why I do not race" have decently tryed ALL the LFS availlable cars ? How many of you have done races at FE Black Rev (to name a track) ? How many of you have even tryed controlling the LX6 ? Ect....
Wrong, if for one reason the LFS Community is not in it's best shape it is all because of the community.
First of all, why wouldn't you race or have fun without a new patch ?
Secondly, patch delay ? What delay ? Cause the kiddo's around here got overly exited about the VW ? Get mature, that happens in every game. Let the Devs do their work and stop ruining OUR community with YOUR nonsense.
Back in S1 we had 6 track layouts and 3 cars; and the community was great and large. But you people's attitude these days, that's whats wrong. Unthankfull kiddo's who can't focus on something and keep for a longer term playing with it. It's like those kids who lay on the floor in the supermarket crying why they don't get the latest Mega Mindy action doll, despite already have a dozen of dolls at home. Going a bit off-topic, but please... Get lost with your patch whining and blaming everything on that. This is a sim racing community, this is a hardcore, low numbered and close group of people. Go fix your attitude, patch or not has nothing to do with LFS. And if you so badly need patches and eyecandy; then LFS is not the quality racing simulator for you. Go play one of EA's games then, but at least stop polluting our community and forum with your idiot nonsense.
I'm looking forward to the new tyre psychics and a possible change in the damage model, and hopefuly the VW and Rockingham get delayed for another year (in the hope that the kids who can't wait go away and we can have our sim racing communtiy back, with some decent high standard).
Tukko & Jonesy can not make the testevent due to real life reasons.
Obviously as the rules state Jonesy won't be able to participate in this GTAL season and can be removed from the nFinity season line-up. Jonesy do asked if he could be put up front to be a guest driver in one or two events, with his slow shifter and looking to regain some experience in endurance racing (after an extensive break) GTAL stay for him the perfect league.
