[quote=AndroidXP;437852]1) Seek professional help (psychologist)
2) Don't ask for help in a forum full of motorheads, talk to people, friends and family
3) For gods sake, don't slit your wrists

Agreed. You need to consult the people you are closest to, even if it is painful to do so. We can't be of the same kind of help that a person who knows you can.

I know. I know how you feel, I am a diagnosed bi-polar manic depressive, and have attempted suicide numerous times. What I didn't realize, was there many MANY people in my life who wanted to help, but didn't know how to approach me about it. They wanted ME to say the first word, and I finally mustered up the courage to say so...and then all my pent up emotions spilled over. I also went to a professional, and that helped TREMENDOUSLY, because they knew nothing of me, and were objective.

And finally, just remember that God and Jesus are there for you, to listen to your prayers and thoughts, and have unconditional and boundless love for you, even if you choose to ignore them.

Holy wow! Thanks for the link! My wife said she could justify me spending money on a G25 if it dropped below $200. I knew my patience would pay off!

Bought and shipped! WOOHOO!

Quote from dropin_biking :I was browsing for a good server me and my friend could go on. And I came across one and they were qualifying, so we joined. Then when the race started I found out it was 26 laps. I thought it would suck untill I realized this would be my longest LFS race. So I stuck with it, cars in my way, people chatting to me and having to answer, figuring out when to pit. I ran a low 1:26 best, but I thought I was pretty consistant. I'll upload the replay for whoever is really bored and needs something to do. The race was also a good way to test out my fresh overclock bar. And my temps touched 50, then came back down to a constant 48. I feel really good about my best overclock, the fact that I finished a 26 lap race, AND set a non hotlapped PB for that car/track. Happy racing
~Bryan~

PS I think the main reason I'm posting this is the fact I stuck with over 12 laps alone, and never left.

Ah yes...you got a taste of running a longer race. This past weekend I ran in the 24 hour Kyoto race, and after you run so many laps, you fall into a trance so to say; everything else is blocked out and the laps just seem to fly by.

I dont know about anyone else, but there is an immense satisfaction after you finish a race that is an hour or more long.

.....Anyway.

It would be nice to see your speed along with time at every sector, not just balls out fastest speed. That way, you can look back at a replay, and, let us admit it, would be a useful tool to better improve lap times and consistency, especially for the anal retentive / obsessive hot lapper. Having only as an admin option is limiting it's potential.

Some people can register if they are faster or slower by sector times, other people glance at their speedo when they hit the sector mark. Would be nice to have both shown.

Quote from RiGun :All i can say is congratulation to the winners and the podium, and also to Buenos Aires Racing that squeezed though the table and ended in 13th place, it was their first endurance race, I'm really happy that one of the argentinian teams did that well be aware of us! I'm willing to participate in the next event

We at Land Of The Free really enjoyed being on the track with you, your drivers always passed cleanly and without drama. We, and League of the Americas would be happy to see you participate in our inter-league races!

I came up with a slogan for the event:

"I raced the 24 hours of Kyoto and all I got was this stupid disconnect".

add some birds flying around, sitting on houses, rails or else.

Threats wont get what you want in LFS.

Add active wimpers then.

I like the idea of active whimpering. Much bettr than the active whining we read on the forums.

Quote from BranislavS :So ,at fist I want to apologize for our #014 team for slowing down guys on Raceserver#3. We are trying to get out off your way ,but sometemes it's imposible and for that we are realy sorry.
The race is going great ,go on.

Dont be sorry at all! My team (528) are also on server #3, and we have nothing but praise for you. It looks like you have been pushed around, knocked around, and treated like a moving chicane....but you are STILL in the race. I and my team are very proud of your efforts.

Everyone who is reading this, give these guys a standing ovation at the end of the race. You did great in spite of the circumstances.

All the cruise stuff is about 5% driving and 95% socializing....kind of like an interative IRC channel.

Which is just fine by me. It means the social butterflys who cant stop talking can go there, and the people who want to race will do so at other servers, and not get annoyed by racers who just cannot stop typing while racing. It gets annoying, and the less of them in a race server, the better. Everyone benefits!

Ach....no problem at all. I'll do it again for someone else.

sorry for double post but now if i want to share this license with a friend how do i get another voucher code or what ever is needed to unlock it?

Go to http://www.lfs.net/?page=shop

You wont be able to share a licence, your friend I guess can log in as you, but that is not such a hot idea, because they will be using your name. Best to buy.

My prediction came true! As I stated earlier:

Quote from jayhawk :Question, and answer honestly.

How many teams, since November of 2006, have you been involved in, or started? Do you ever just stick with one thing?

Seriously Kenneth, you go through teams like pairs of underwear; and pretty soon, no one will want you on your team if they know you are just going to up and leave them. Or conversely, if you start a team, way too many people know of your history and wont bother to join.

I do not know if playing online if a reflection of your real life personality, but I hope you get this...trait straightened out before adulthood, or you will have some serious problems down the road. Harsh words? Yep. Truth hurts!

Since I am also in the giving mood, I have one (1) free S2 voucher to the demo player of my choosing. The demo player whom wants this voucher will send me a private message, answering these questions:

1)what is my real first name? (blatantly obvious)

2)Do I live near Chicago, Illinois?

3)What league did I establish in December, 2006?

4)Do I use a wheel, or a mouse to drive?

First demo user to send me the correct answers will get the voucher. And this will not be instantaneous; I will be checking on your demo history to see if you meet my criteria.

Racing online, except for a few whom seem to go out of their way to perpetuate a stereotype, I see no difference in human behavior. 99% of the people I race online are wonderful, thoughtful human beings. We are not as different as we think we are, the only division being language.

I have always pondered why some are obsessed with race and culture; we are all humans, right? Fundamentally, we all have the same ideals, morals and codes that dictate how we live our life, and how we perceive the world around us.

A thought about racism; I have come to this conclusion in how I regard race: we are all one race, if you think about it. To classify and separate a human being based on their color of their skin or their ethnic background is silly and backwards. It is as logical as saying the earth is flat.
My other belief is that we are all, in some degree, racist. The area in the human brain that forms those beliefs is, I think, in the most primative part of it. So, in life you have two choices: you can either think with the most primitive part of your brain, and fall deeper into hate, fear and depression, OR take the harder path, and make a conscious effort every day to fight the bigoted thoughts in your head. The person who says that they are not bigoted or racist is a liar, or in denial of their thoughts. Fight those hateful thoughts everyday!
Imagine if the world started thinking like that...we can then live in peace and harmony with each other. It starts...with you!

Quote from RaDuS :got my civic today great condition 84,000km greddy turbo kit Momo wheel, 200 shot of nos , blue and black atomic series bucket seats, Blue Underglow, Bully racing clutch, 17 inch low profile tire and rims, Dual exhaust. What you think?

(btw getting new back lights they ugly)

Get rid of the nitrous, a 200 shot on a (supposed) 1.6 liter will kill it quickly.

Neon lights do not make your car go faster, neither does having 2 fart cans. Eliminate.

Whoever you bought it from, I hope they set up the turbo correctly. Unless it has strengthened internals, the (supposed) 1.6 stock will handle about .8 bar and that is it. If you are driving, and you see puffs of smoke when you shift, the engine already has one foot in the grave.

I have a new found love for the RB4, when I graduated up to a silver license in STCC / UKCT.

The way I set it up, it now behaves like a very powerful XFG; slight understeer into the corners, slight oversteer out. No oversteer drama, no plowing understeer, just....right.

Try this, see what others think:

Front clutch pack LSD:
Locking(power/coast) 60% - 50%

Preload: 160 Nm

Rear viscous LSD
Viscous Torque 10 Nms/Rad

Centre Viscous LSD
Viscous Torque 17 Nms/Rad

Front Torque split 50%

Now, some may make the "oh yucky" face when seeing my specs, but it makes the car very predictable and steady; you may not win every race (and you never will on setups alone) but you will finish in a respectable place.

Try it!

Set works for all Aston except Cadet and Club.
