Quote from Riders Motion :Answer of a non-drifter

Next one please!

Uh oh. Another drifter who only sees the world in black and white...remember THAT thread?

Quote from fragile_dog :I think drifting was first used in rallying..........

It has always been a part of motorsports, until recently when the cars got better tire and suspension. I have on the computer a Trans Am race from 1970 at Riverside Raceway; the only way they COULD get through turns was drifting!

I think all of you should be fine...just keep your position, keep a car length between you and the person in front of you. When you cross the start/finish line after the parade lap, just go like hell.

I have found that adjusting the sound while playing a replay gets the best sound, instead of just sitting stationary and revving it.

Quote from Davo :Sadly none of this aplies since you're a demo user. You need to be S2 Licenced to race the GTRs.

Jayhawk where did you get your info from? Seems to contradict the whole MoE thing. 1-2 hour races? More like 6-24!

Yeah...I uh, didnt read that this was in the MASTER OF ENDURANCE LEAGUE.

Just disregard what I said a few posts up. Move along, people, nothing to see here.

Quote from meanjeans :All.

I am new to LFS (I've been driving in FIA GTR for a while) and I am facinated by this online league racing concept. Is there a FAQ somewhere that describes this in more detail? I have several questions that will likely be answered in a FAQ:

1. What are the common race lengths, and how much total time does that typically take up? (Race is 3 hours but you log in a half hour early, etc.)
2. What time are these races typically scheduled?
3. How would I get myself on a team and into a race?
4. How many cars are in a race? (I may need to upgrade my machine - 3 or 4 cars and things get a bit choppy.)

I've read through the Clean Racers Club Race Rules at the LFS Manual. Thanks for any additional info or links. This looks like it will be a lot of fun!

1)Common race length is about 1-2 hours, usually 1/2 to 1 hour to qualify.
2)Usually scheduled 20:00 GMT to 23:00 GMT, unless you join an American or Canadian team, and obviously those time would change. But usually late at night/early morning for the majority of users.
3)make a thread saying you want to join, or get to know someone on a team via online racing and go from there.
4)In Demo, you can only have a maximum of 11 cars. In S2, a maximum of 20.

Oh boy. I am going to have to find this server and have some fun. Actually, if the most powerful car to be had is the XRT, I'll probably be bored....

I think we should consider this: Something that was supposed to hidden was exposed. The orginal developer of it, instead of blowing his top, has essentially said "well, you found it. Have fun with it!"

Bottom line is, Scavier puts ALOT of faith into us, and this really show that we as the players of the game, are so very important to them. Instead of trying to wipe out this thread, and to silence the ones who know it, Scawen just leans back and sees what happens. So for anyone who keeps crabbing about when S3 is to be released, before you send a reply, think of this thread, ok?

I know this wont last forever, but WOW! I am having fun with this!

Quote from Viper93 :Is it just me or did the story change?

Quote from theblackrabbi : BTW does anyone know how to take the passanger seat out of a 97 altima

= a 1997 Altima? illepall :detective:bananadea

A 1997 Altima, and I assuming its the L30 body, not the U13U body, making it the plainest, ho hum Altima ever. And the engine? A KA24DE, 150 snorting horses from an engine cribbed from the D21 truck.

Can I get a PW3ND?

I get nervous at the begining, but since I am slow, my greatest strength is being able to find the nervous drivers in front of me, or the ones who drive while looking backwards; all I need to do is keep pressuring them without touching them and they are sure to make a mistake, usually braking too late and going wide.

^good point!

For me it is the FZR. It has pretty, yet agressive lines. Plus up until a few month ago I was terrified to drive it, so the FZR was for quite some time, that unattainable girl you finally get to date.

Quote from al heeley :2 of my AI guys in particular are wreckers, I think one may even be using a crack. Whenever I try to pass him he deliverately blocks me then drives into me to force me off.
As far as I know it is not possible to modify their behaviour through coding or editing, except by one of the devs. I look forward to the days when the intelligence is less artificial.

-1 Lets stick to Ventrillo. I can just imagine me in a race, really concentrating, then suddenly I hear:

"JORDI!!! DINNERS READY!!!"

Or I dunno, someone who goes to spectate, but leaves their mic open so I unwilling listen to them um,
