Allright...see, I have 2100 GMT for a start time so its not too late for Europe, and not too early for Oceania. Heh, if I had it my way, it would be 1600 GMT.
Not a problem. Like I said, you followed the rules, and that impresses me more than anything. Plus, becaue alot of people didnt show up, you have points like if you placed in third. Plus! there are many more races coming up. The people who win in this league are the ones who stick it out through every race. I mean, it could be possible to finish in the top three for the season in your class, but place fourth or fifth in every race...it all depends on who wants to "tough it out" for the long haul over the course of the season.
Bryan, take it from a person who took every drug imaginable, plus having a bit of a heroin problem...they arent worth it; its stupid and boring. Nothing compares to getting high from doing exciting things, and not from taking E and feeling like a moron, or smoking weed and just being lazy and stupid, or taking heroin, feeling great for about 1 minute and then shitting your pants and puking your guts out.
2)Set up screen shot mode how you want it. Personally, I use F10. The image will be saved as .bmp file. Those are evil and possibly conceived by nazi communists.. Convert them to a .jpg for the love of God and all free nations whom enjoy liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
3)Once you capture a screen shot, edit its size in Photoshop. If you do not have Photoshop, I suggest using GIMP: http://www.gimp.org/
4)if you want to upload it here, make sure its size is under 1.95 MegaBytes. Or, you can use a free uploading site like Imageshack: http://www.imageshack.us/
On Saturday, Febuary 17th, I will send a private message to each one of the participants with information they must have, or the participant will not race!
Persons who placed first in their respective division will have first choice.
Rules of the league and other info can be found here.
We started off with 11, but 2 dropouts and 1 internet connection loss made it 8. RevengeR just took over and nearly flawlessly chugged on through all 40 laps. There were some great battle in GT2 at the begining, and GT3 had some battles that I was hard pressed to stop watching!
For the first race, I was very impressed! It was a bit silly on the first lap, the pace car lap, but I saw that turn one was executed by EVERYONE flawlessly. Good job!! Of course, there were bumps, scrapes, flying cars......but everyone that raced, even if they dropped out, did so within the rules. That really impressed me. You gentleman did a fine job, and was overall to me, a great race.
POINTS:
GT1:
RevengeR - 10 points
Cawwa - 8 points
Bo Kristiensen - 6 points
Scipy - 1 point
GT3:
Hyperactive - 10 points
Michael Denham - 8 points
zorer - 6 points
Vain - 2 points
Results will be posted later on the website. Two people disconnected voluntarily, but showed up and raced some laps so they receive 1 point. One person got disconnected involuntarily, so they get 2 points.
I really like the server, and I am in the mindset that a full grid of UF1's is probably the most intense, close, insane racing you will see in Live For Speed
Thanks for the "helping hands", but for this race I will worry about being a pace / safety car. I will be very honest; I am not a really trusting person, but once you gain my trust, I will trust the person without a doubt. Soon I will have a signup sheet for volunteer race stewards whom will have admin host powers. For now, I think my tab button will get a good beating.
If you would like to spectate, PM and I will give you the server password. My only stipulation is That there will be no talking / chatting / spamming / flooding during the race. The reason why is that it can very distracting to a driver, and I want to ensure that everyone who is racing will have no troubles, so they can enjoy and concentrate on the race.
I do not have spectator or noob TV yet, they along with LFS lapper are ideas I am still tossing about in my head.
I will be on the server at or around 1900 GMT, my LFS "name" will be Race_Marshall.
To everyone who is participating: Thank you VERY much for helping this league get off the ground, and for my idea to become reality. Already I have people asking about my other idea, the LeMans Lite, which I hope will be a hit, too. Lets all hope you have a fun time, with many close battles and spectacular finishes. Oh, and no crashes on turn one.
Nothing wrong at all. You are passionate and intrigued by the automobile. I fell in love with cars about age 12, and now I am 31. What is great is when you happen upon another car nut like yourself. you have this...bond with them.
Cars are sexual, powerful, beautiful, coy and unattainable...just like a woman. And as you get older, your tastes in cars, like women, change too. Right now you probably have quite a love affair with that Supra! I remember when I was around your age it was the Porsche 959...what a vehicle.
Right now I am starting to appreciate sports cars from 50-60 years ago, or cars that are just pure art, like a Bugatti T57. That is sex on wheels for me. Sometimes it is not the power, but the design of them, like Alfa Romeos; you can tell the person(s) who designed them really deeply love the automobile. Or sometimes I like the boldness and flamboyancy of the design, like old Citroen or TVR's.
But I do love the power cars can generate; I remember driving a 1964 Pontiac Catalina SD with a 421 with 3 4 barrels on it, and a 4 speed manual. It was so ....raw, the car shuddered and snarled like a feral animal was underneath the hood wanting to kill me. I could FEEL the power through my body, like it was something alive and channeling its energy into me.
