Who said there will be an animated pit crew in the first place? And is it really THAT important.
No he shouldn´t. And he won´t. If you know anything about the devs way of working you would know that. I think most people know that but they just refuse to accept it.
Maybe, maybe not. How would you know? Besides it will end up in the game when the time is there. A lot could be incompatible with the current version, ever thought about that?
...some people just won´t take no for an answer...
read slowly:
there will not be any modding before S3 if any
Excuse me, and you are?
What on earth makes you think you have any say in it? You don´t determine what will be in the game and what not, and you sure aren´t needed by the devs to do their prioritising...
Really, you seriously need to get a clue.
Get real.
Please speak for yourself and nothing but yourself.
ZOMG your insight is so overwhelming, the devs should ask you to be in teh dev team!
As far as I can recall the W test patches were the only incompatible test patches ever released. But I don't think it should matter whether the X test patches will be incompatible or not. After all, they're test patches for a reason, to be tested. Like I said, people can just have two LFS versions.
What Mr. Muh suggested was not releasing any test patches for months because it could be incompatible. That's the wrong way of thinking IMO, it hinders progress. I think Scawen is able to work more effectively when he receives bug reports before releasing the official patch, which in the end makes it a better, more stable patch. Development progress should lead the way, not backwards compatibility.
uhm, holding off progress to avoid people using different patches? what a silly way of thinking. people can always use two LFS installs, one to test new patches and one using the latest official patch. This sim is a work in progress so you can expect things like that.
seriously, you should get a clue. You're the type of person that goes on shouting like a little boy when people don't agree with him or don't supply him with an answer he approves of. Silly you. If you had a clue you would know the devs opinion on this so the discussion in itself is irrelevant.
Don't bother replying as I will not get into it any further.
Yes. And 5 days before that one. And 3 days before that one. And a week before that one. And 2 weeks before that one. And 4 days before that one...etc.
But people WILL take it as a promise no matter how it will be put. Forum experience tells me that. And what would be the worth of such a list anyway if it doesn't promise anything? It will still remain a matter of wait and see what will become of it.
You don't have it right now ? What about all those years you have been playing LFS like you said? In all those years you never had any money? Sorry but I just don't buy that. Get a job, mow some lawns, wash some cars, get a paper round, ask it as a birthday present, ask it for christmas. If none of those are a possibility for you then not being able to get LFS is the least of your problems.
Mostly, not only.
At least that is what people are expecting. In reality nobody knows anything about what S3 will be like.
No. S3 will be LFS's next installment. S3 will be the final version of LFS, and therefore finished. S2 will have a final version and that will be the finished version of S2.
Just because they are meaningless to you doesn't mean they are meaningless to others.
Besides, small changes often take a small amount of time to implement so I don't see the problem. And most of the work on the language versions is done by the translators. All Scawen has to do for that now is update his version.
Well, I can't give you anything to download because I would have to upload my modified install CD and that would be illegal
I made it such a long time ago I don't even remember all the details of what I did
But it's a combination of using nLite (www.nliteos.com) and manually tweaking things.
You can find a lot of info about it here:
Isn't that just some modded XP with stuff added and slipstreamed into it? I don't think you will encounter problems using LFS as it doesn't change anything in XP's "core". I'm using a self-modified version of XP mainly aimed at performance improvement/removing unnecessary crap and it works perfectly and have no problems playing LFS or any other app for that matter.
