Rockingham will include all layouts except the rally stage. Which means the oval will be included too. Which also means that LFS will finally have a proper oval.
I agree, Kyoto would theoretically be much faster compared to the rock in LFS. Even oval wise the rock would be slower than the kyoto.
If you were comparing the Talladega infield circuit with the Daytona infield circuit then in that it is almost identical. Just because a lot of the Rock is a roval doesn't mean it has to be character less. It's much slower (even oval wise) and it has a lot of elevation and crests. (Unless rFactor is completely inaccurate)
The point of the arcade is to make the game easier. There is nothing easy about Need for Speed Shift. However, it is very un-sim like because the car responds in such a bizarre way (granted I've only driven the lower tier cars).
Just because a game is hard doesnt necessarily make it a sim or good. IDK, i'm not liking it so far. But I'll keep playing
I'm currently in Tier 2 and all I know right now is that the car understeers like hell, even when the racing line is green.
IDK if it is because I'm playing it on 720 rotation? Should I change it back to the 180 default? (Although that would be highly unrealistic for the touring/GT cars...)
Well...ur friends obviously never touched it cause this NFS still has NOS (yes u've read correctly).
I used a G25 with 720 degree settings (what i use for tin top LFS and rFactor)...and...if it just me? Or does this game just feel wrong? Haven't tried the faster GT cars yet...but everything feels wrong to me...heck, rFactor (properly calibrated and ffb addons) feels so much better than Shift to me...
IDK, it's so hard to spin out from turning too much? It feels like the cars have too much grip and randomly looses grip
I'm looking back on previous results of Luizzi and Speed when they were in STR in 06 and 07. It's hilarious to see previous posts (not in this forum) of people screaming that both Speed and Luizzi were crap...
Now that Luizzi's being impressive...I do wonder what that says about Speed Considering that Speed basically had the upper hand at STR in 07 and they were very equal in 06.
I also looked at Bourdais' record. Where the hell did people get the idea that Bourdais was crap in F1? He out performed Buemi in 09. Sure, Buemi's a rookie...but still. I hear people saying that Bourdais was like Michael Andretti crap...wtf
Madcat, that is purely based on physical descriptions. Talent is an abstract concept and therefore is a completely different playing field (in terms of identifying) compared to physical attributes.
Let me put it this way.
1. Compare Danica Patrick among Giovanna Amati and Milka Duno.
2. Compare Danica Patrick among everyone in IRL, GP2, Formula 1, and Formula 2.
In option 1 she seems like a racing goddess. In option 2 she doesn't seem that special anymore.
It's a rumor and it's confirmed that NASCAR's "THINKING" about it. They've said that there will not be any timeline or deadline to implementing it. But they are seriously considering it as Honda and Volkswagen are interested in joining the NASCAR constructors if fuel injectors are introduced
All jokin aside, I wonder why NASCAR needs to enforce a "single" template body for each manufacture? Just because it's stock car doesnt mean each car has to be exactly the same.
Look at Turismo Carretera. Pretty awesome series imho:
If you want to make things more interesting I probably would suggest you have LFSCART be a tweak that comes to as close to the IRL cars as possible. Perhaps bug Bob about it or something
But if you do not want to go that route (for fear of compatibility or interest) then there's not much I would suggest you can improve on it. But...
1. I personally dont like the Sprint race idea.
2. Add one more oval to the schedule, and I dont mean Kyoto. I mean add a short track oval racing. IRL/CART has (had) some intense short oval racing and that's missing in LFSCART. For the oval portion, just keep it as:
SpeedWeeks, Kyoto 500, Clockwise 300, Martinsville. No more but imho no less. The Circuits is really up in the air as long as they are long enough. I would suggest atleast FE3, SO5, SO6
