They come with a cheaper (150 euro) version of the wheel. This could be very interesting.

I have such a wheel. I have had it for two years without problems. A month ago the pedals started doing strange because of dust on the pod meters. With a vacuum cleaner and a can of compressed air i think i've "fixed" it. Problems like that you can get with any wheel.

I don't think it's the best wheel on the marked but it does the job. Everything works.

When i started playing LFS I started with chase view. The reason was the point you are making about seeing what the car is doing, and seeing who is driving next to you(which is more difficult with in car view). But I think the biggest reason was i always played arcade racers before (TOCA, NFS, TD) and in those games i played with chase view. It was the view i was used too.

Last year i decided to drive some races with in car view. I started with the open wheelers because there you can see the most with that view and now i drive every car with in car view. Funny thing is i can't even drive good anymore with chase view, so my conclusion is that you only stick to a certain view because you are used to it.

Quote from W1ldPort75 :As i already posted before , i play other games like COD4 , Crysis , GTR Evo , Fifa 09 for hours and have no probs at all , like i said 45 degrees max . I also have a dual core cpu , and very powerful but that has nothing much to do with it . If there was something wrong with my cpu , gc , ram or something else i wouldnt be able to play them right ? I also wrote that i installed a brand new Z patch and everything worked fine . Only when i play Z10 it happens so oh well i´ll just wait for the new patch

@ MijnWaak

Z10 does use the videocard more, but if you can play al those other games (that i think are still heavier on the videocard) that's strange. But the fact that it doesn't happen in the first laps mostly is a heat or memory problem. You could try to clock the memory to a lower speed or to drive a few laps with the pc open.

Quote from Shadowww :Hello! I found one VERY serious bug with the /pitlane command.
Video explains it all - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tt-m3A0JiQU&fmt=22

And yeah, watch in HD.

I don't know if that is a bug, it's in the game since i play it. That is what happens if you stand in someone else his garagebox and they enter the track (not only with AI).

What did you expect that would happen?

Quote from Vinnylegends :Yeah and when I rock the wheel it goes left-right-left-right over and over again because of the FFB bouncing back. I do have 50% centering force on.

Then you need to invert the forcefeedback.

Quote from DragonCommando :I realy hope you wake up and actualy do some research.

I am an AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN, that means that I know alot about the braking systems on a car and how/what they are designed to do.

I had to study this stuff for two years, I know what ABS is designed for, and I don't know how you get "STOP YOUR CAR FASTER" out of "ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM"

The whole point to preventing the wheels from locking is to allow an inexperianced driver to steer thier car when they panic and smash the pedal to the floor. It was never intended to allow you to stop your car in a straight line, that is what your foot is supposed to do.

IF YOU NEED ABS TO STOP QUICKLY YOU ARE NOT AN EXPERIANCED DRIVER

If you need to make an emergency stop most people will slow down faster with ABS. Because in the moment you floor the brakepedal. That also counts for "experienced" drivers that don't expect that they have to make an emergency stop (because they are shaving/making phonecalls/looking on a roadmap). In normal circumstances you don't need ABS, not experienced and not unexperienced drivers.

I don't know, i think it was still XFG on Blackwood. I bought the game after one demorace so that was kind of new for me too. First cars i drove were XFG and later UF1 on the STCC (now CTRA) servers.

Just run it, didn't see anything strange. Not even flickering wheel colour when changing rim colour. So it seems to be OK

Quote from anttt69 :Because its a waste of time & scawen has a thousand more important things to do than worry about weather abs works in reverse.

Is it? I don't think it's that big a difference with driving forward. Only thiing is your brakes will lock up sooner because the front-back brakeratio is wrong when you drive backwards.

In my opinion this delay is good news. A roadgoing car with ABS and ESP with only one setup gives a totaly different type of racing.

Keep up the high standards!

Quote from mr_x :I'd consider a Nokia N95 or even one of the newer ones N97 I believe they're up to now.

My N95 is excellent in just about every way, haven't yet found a single fault with it. Took a long time to get used to after a Sony Ericsson, but now i'm used to it I can confidently say the N95 is the best phone I've owned.

I've used an iphone before and they're awful! Plus the fact it's made by apple is a huge downside - It'll break as soon as the warrenty expires in traditional apple form. (but I may be biased).

The Symbian OS isn't really userfriendly. Sure is has a nice camera and all the things on board but then i prefer Windows mobile. I've just ordered the HTC S740 what is more a phone then the PDA style Windows Mobile phones (windows mobile standard instead of proffesional and normal phonekeys instead of touch screen).

From what i've seen of the iPhones it are great phones (good usability, but i geus that's not something you look for in a phone). I don't want it because i want to run normal GPS software instead of some Google maps application for what you need a data-abo.

I still like it very much. I especially like the way LFS develops and the community. I tried (bought) Race07 and i think i could like that game too, but i never play it because i don't have the time. I've heard good things about GTR Evolution but i haven't bought it because i haven't got the time for that either. I play one league in LFS and i like that and the other people that are in it and that is all i can handle right now (sometimes i haven't even got the time to prepare for that one race).

If there ever will come an S3 and i still have the same interest i will buy that the day it comes available.

I tried one of the first versions. Liked it but couldn't get used to mouse steering.

Years later i bought a wheel, did one demorace and bought S2 and asked myself why i didn't do that years earlier

I play now Saints Row 2. It's a good game, some things are better then in GTA and some are worse. It's less serious, cops are more easy just kill them and your free to go, cars are more easy (more arcade then GTA4). It's a fun game, i haven't even done any missions yes
