If it's current cars we're talking about, then i say beyond a doubt, the Jaguar S-Type and the Chrysler PT Cruiser.

I'd post pics, but they're both so intolerably ghastly, i fear i'd probably throw up. And, i utterly utterly loath what both cars are attempting to represent.

Vile, vile pieces of junk.

Anyone who buys or even drives either machine deserves to be shot imo.

Odd, i could have sworn i did much better than last week, but, i got less points in this race..and dropped 6 places !.

I'm a bit miffed about the bets too. I had Massa down for getting the pole, but after reading someone's post in the other thread saying it would definitely rain, i changed it, and also the safety car question too. Damn that bloody globe trotting jock ! (mental note to self, never ever believe anything said on teh tinternet)

Is there a prize for coming last ?, Wales perhaps ?, Estonia ?, a night out with James Allen ?

Quote from JTbo :Check out portfolio They rock also

Wow, the artistic talent on offer is simply breath taking, there's so much to look at on the main page alone. Some of their work makes 99.9% of internet sites look positively amateurish.

Although Volvo had a fantastic micro-site for the C30 last year, and the "Mini Mini" site a few years back was great too.

It was Lewis, and Alonso was too far behind to be hindered by him.

Thing is, if the two Macca's were penalised, why not the car on the corner exit at the start of these clips ?

Quote from JTbo :That image of Mazz is hard to wipe off now

It was the 80's, Magnum was on the telly, we thought we looked real cool , and it took bloody ages to sew all those sequence onto that jacket. And i think those trousers are the reason i now have a squeaky voice.

Quote from JTbo : I knew my secret will be out someday, it just did happen sooner than I thought

Nah, we've always known you were an immature loony, we're just to nice to say anything .

But at least we now know what's been keeping Eric busy all these years http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gPNfXqbmdQ

Quote from Hyperactive :Just to get back to the sub league ranking contest thingy, I recieved this mail yesterday:...+ email quote...

Yeh, thanks for that Bud we may actually be in with a chance with this...maybe...?

After the bonus question i've got 6.5 mill to spend, which sounds a lot, but in reality, i can't buy squat with it, especially with a low sale price and a brokers fee, so i'm stuck with the same team...can you get stuff on credit in this game ?

Quote from xaotik :I think you're right - the right wheel looks like it goes out of whack as soon as he's into the left hander - there was something scarily wrong with both sides of the suspension for it to crumble like that.

http://www.itv-f1.com/News_Article.aspx?id=42065

If you remember, his suspension crumbled when he hit Massa in Melbourne.

The Red Bulls banned from the Malaysian GP, anyone ?

Quote from mrbogeyman :I have been in Kuala Lumpur for the past 8 weeks and I am going to the Grand Prix! Yay! My first one!

Anyway, I can almost guarantee you all a VERY wet race! Come 3-4pm in the afternoon you are VERY likely to have a VERY heavy rain storm! It has done this consistently for the past week at least. It is 15.40 just now, and it is torrential rain, it started at 15.00.

To be honest, I could see the rainfall here being enough for a red flag. I think aqua-planing is a very high possibility, given the sheer volume in such a relatively short space of time. The grand prix is due to start at 3pm local time, so that matches almost exactly with the time of day we have storms here.

I will be taking my waterproof jacket and an Umbrella to the race!

http://www.worldweather.org/020/c00082.htm

Wow, thunderstorms !, hope the race doesn't get cancelled.

Those Ferraris look damn quick, especially on the long runs, even though Lewis just put a flyer in at the end there. But, if it's gonna rain, then the race will be another lottery, so it's anyone's guess...

And Yeah, another mighty impressive showing for Vettel, guess that's why there's a few rumours linking him to Ferrari for 2009.

@Sam again ("the duke" posted before me)

Oh yeah, i'm fully aware of the back story between Brundle and Bernie/FOM/Mosley/FIA etc, but, knowing Bernie, i can only think it was down to a purely financial reason, rather than a playground spat (albeit a rather serious one).

Or maybe Bernie's just as fed up with James Allen as the rest of us are

@The Duke, Martin Haven ?? i've no idea who that is to be honest, i'm so out of touch these days.....

Quote from Jakg :Wow.

If only I could get the wheel to feel "right"

Do I sell? Do I keep?

HALP!

I've not checked this thread for a few weeks, so that email was a bit of a surprise. Wow thats "Fana-tastec" news, what an example to set for other companies to follow, Fanatec have really gone up in my estimation I'm genuinely genuinely impressed with their customer relations

i wonder if there's any chance of a free wheel, seeing as how sycophantically nice i've just been to them ?...well, it was worth a shot !.

@ SamH, Apparently the change came about when Bernie first approached the Beeb asking them if they wanted the contract back.....But to suggest that doing that was a way to get rid of Brundle all sounds a bit petty to me. Then again, this is the FIA, so i wouldn't put it beyond them.

@Garph, Thats a good shout actually, Charlie Cox and Steve Parish are a really good combination, but would the BBC want to split them up ?

Yeah, great news

I've just had a quick scan on the net, and it seems as though everyone is saying the same as Tristan. Keep Brundle, bring back "The Chain" and ditch Allen. In fact i've yet to see a single post anywhere on the web that wants F***wit Allen to stay erm.. i mean

I guess the question is, who do you get to replace him ? A few have mentioned Ben Edwards from the BTCC, but i dunno, i think his 'shrillness' would get wearisome after a while. Do you think 'Ted from the pitlane' would be up for the job ?

Yeah it's an easier question now, but i think we need all the cash we can get after the first race. But, after the Glock beating Trulli fiasco, i'm guessing the answer will be "option G: 47 times"

Anyway, they're leaving the 'bets' a bit late arn't they ?. 1st practice starts in 15hrs or so...

Yeah, sorry, maybe i wasn't clear.

What i meant was, is there a way to find out where our "The Real BF1 league" stands in the subleague competition, i.e. in comparison to all the other subleagues.

We've got 18 guys in the top 200 overall, so i'm guessing we must be quite high up. And there are prizes for the best subleague, Yeh !...6 F1 caps

For some reason i haven't done quite as badly as i had first thought, both drivers with their engines and chassis went out at T1, seems Bourdais saved the day, for me. (although i had forgotten i was using Mclaren fuel)

The hardest parts is knowing what to do next week, if Malaysia's going to be another lottery, then i guess it's all down to pure luck And just what am i going to do with a whopping 4mill extra to spend ?

Tell you what though, it certain adds a whole new dimension to watching the GP, i'm finding myself cheering on drivers and teams i wouldn't normally give a toss about, and hoping my favourites stuff it into the wall, or breakdown or something...very odd..

Also, does anyone know how to find out where our league stands in the general classification ?

Heard about this yesterday, but it's difficult to comment without knowing the details of his proposal.

He's a fan of MotoGP, so perhaps he's thinking of a similar points system, i.e. 25 for the win, 20 for second, and so on, all the way down to 1pt for 15th.

Can't imagine he's thinking of only giving points to the winner. Not even Bernie's that daft.....then again...

Maybe it's just another one of Bernie's warning shots across the bows, a way of stirring folk into action to come up with a better solution. If you look at the history of this stuff, seldom of these crazy ideas ever see the light of day. And i don't think even he's stupid enough to kill his golden goose by turning it into a complete farce....

The last thing he'd want is to go back to a situation when the championship was decided half a dozen races before the end of the season. Look at last year, down to the final race with 3 drivers all with a shout of being World Champ, can it get any more exciting than that ?

Quote from Hankstar :31 - tragically old for one who Lives for Speed, but criminally young for a Grand Prix Legend.

You need to get into Flight-Simming Hank, it'll really help you get through this "Shit i'm a 30something already, how did that happen ?" period of your life.

Me, I'm thinking of taking up bowls, or basket weaving next year..or maybe gardening, OAP's like gardening don't they ? SamH, any tips ?

Quote from Hyperactive :Besides Massa, the carnage happened behind Räikkönen so Kimi really took over those 6 cars . It was Fisiphella who took out two other cars. Look at this pic. You can see Räikkönen coming into the corner there, prolly behind Alonsa..

Ahhh, so he made up 5 places before T1, wow, with so much going on i missed that. I stand corrected.

But, he still drove like a big girls blouse for the rest of the race , those passing attempts were shocking..

Quote from RatzMilk :I spend a lot of time with the IL2 flight sim family. Supposedly, the average age of the flyer's is 35. I'm one of the youngest of those I fly with, and I'm 47. The oldest is 73. So far, I've talked at least half a dozen of them to invest in LFs.

Really ?

I've never been online with IL2 before (heard some non too complementary things about online pick up servers) But i've still got a copy of 1946 sitting in a cupboard somewhere, might dust it off and have a go..

Online game is so much better with a more mature crowd....usually
