I have to agree with JB here, it was totally your fault as the guy was already next to you.
Nice T-bone in T1 too, I hope it doesn't become your signature move.

I agree, that was 1 bad review tbh. All that I saw was g25 bashing and fanatac praising for useless features like wireless pedals and an attached gearshifter.

And did he really say the g25 pedals were too close to eachother?

and no, i'm not a g25 fanboy

well, being "green" is all about recycling. Even toxic dump like an arrows

Could you be selecting supersampling AA instead of coverage sampling, because the 8800 doesn't have supersampling (so the jagged edges stay).

btw, the driver install has a check for system architecture, so I highly doubt you have 32 bit drivers on a 64 bit system.

Apparently you cant open a project in VS, so a readme is a good idea. Also, if you expect someone to hold you hand every step of the way, ask a parent.

btw, spamming in someone else's topic is a bad idea

Read the readme for visual studio. For someone wanting to be a programmer, you surely dont put a lot of effort into it.

grab a cup of tea and start reading this forum. You're not the first person in the world who wants to start programming you know...

And if you really wanna program, using the search from time to time is a good idea (especially if there's a thread called "learning to program" in this forum)

I'd love it if non-synchro boxes come into lfs, but right now the code that handles the clutch sucks way too much.

Quote from lococost :Arch I have a 8800GTX and a dualcore [email protected], still only get 15 to 20 with high settings, Guess the only way is to go SLI then?

Also had to resort back to the 163 drivers (thnx for the tip bladerunner), the beta drivers gave nothing but trouble. I do love the game, ran trough the demo 3 times, detail is just amazing even if it it is only DX9!

There's really something wrong with that. I run a stock e6600 and 8800gts at 1280x1024 and get 25-35 fps on high.

This will be a great game btw. It's the first demo this year that got me wanting for more actually...

Quote from tristancliffe :yup, three pedals, as in a normal road car (albeit without and servo assistance). In fact that McLaren is closer to my F3 car than it is to a modern F1 car (apart from that fact that one is driven by a complete dunce, and the McLaren wasn't).

In case visual proof is needed to back you up:

Quote from niall09 :You say they didnt have paddle shifts in 1991, what did they do to change gear? Surely a shifter wouldnt fit?

E: i see he was changing gear with his right hand, did the cars have a clutch aswell?

of course it had a clutch, do you actually know how engines work?

And if i'm correct in 1991 McLaren still had H-shifters (which I think someone said in the onboard video thread here on this forum) and paddle shifters were invented by ferrari in 1989.

Quote from StewartFisher :

I cannot work out why colder fuel would give you 5-10 bhp more performance (as has been claimed). Any suggestions?

Dont forget that statement was made by Mike Gascoyne, who is a twat. So take the 5-10 bhp increase with a grain of salt.

First of all, learn what insim actually is, and secondly, how do you plan to check the integrity of every WR? Are you volunteering to watch and judge every replay?

It's funny nobody mentions the extra registers that 64 bit cpu's have, because reducing the amount of load's and store's between the registers and ram is what imo gives it it's boost (or i've been taught wrong at school).
I would actually like to see a 64 bit version for lfs because the game is pretty cpu dependant, but I don't know if it would be a simple recompile or that some code needs to be rewritten for that.
