Anyone who spams anything along the lines of 'BLUE FLAG PULL OVER' in a race - Is a door knob, and not even a brightly coloured one at that. If you're faster you're going to overtake the person in front no matter what, if you're too incompetent or lack the nuts to do so carefully and politely then don't phucking bother.
Whenever I pass a slower car and its gone without a problem ill more often then not give the 'Good pass' message and honk the horn, just to show my appreciation for them being aware of me. I still encounter people who are not aware a car is beside them, and just turn into you as you go to overtake. Its like.. Do they think you disappear off the track once you're out of their mirror or what?

Last time I checked depression is a state of mind were you're constantly beating yourself down, i.e 'I cant do this' 'This wont work' 'I have no existance' and so forth.

Because the nature of this illness is such that it just goes in circles, the less you do the worse it gets. To help break the cycle you need to do stuff you don't normally do, like jump around sing or dance or something just way out of the ordinary. Although it doesn't sound like much it will help more then you probably think, most people under depression have some sort of routine/comfort zone. Some people like to retreat to the homes/rooms and just shut away from the world and others like to eat or drink, this is where the problem escalates and gets worse. You need to break that cycle doing what you usually do to numb yourself, so instead of doing whatever it is you do. Jump around, go outside and find weird stuff or anything just aslong as you break the cycle.
This place is a good forum http://www.uncommonforum.com/ for all things mental health and such, a friend of mine suffered from panic attacks and anxiety and said the people there were very helpful for her recovery.
I think you just need to remember that this isn't a piss take illness, and it truly is an illness, although admittedly I used to think it was lies Just keep your chin up mate and don't self harm, there are zillions of brilliant things in life mate! I bet you don't own an M3 yet? Probably about time you do something bout it eh?

OT : I think the behaviour of cars in LFS compared to the real life situations and cars in the real world is pretty bloody accurate, 90% of the cars on the road are built for 'comfort' and 'safety' - Which basically means crap handling and boring ride. Most road cars roll like a boat around sharpish bends, and they do this at a slow speed which gives you the impression you're doing fast but in reality you're probably only doing 30-40mph. I guess the reason you think the RWD cars handle so poorly in LFS is because you're not actually aware of the speeds you're doing and if you have a nice car setup, well it makes all the difference!
Although this post is relatively useless and really doesn't help the current situation id like to say just a few things regarding the Redline Servers.
I think everyone can see that the servers are run and paid for by EVO, and she has the right to do whatever she wish. But I'm not going to sit here and defend her actions entirely, she does have a habit of being a bit stiff and machine like for people who don't follow rules. Evo will probably disagree and that's entirely up to her, but if you're dealing with the general public you cant expect them to follow the rules 100% of the time, this isn't military this is a game where people have fun.
There are no excuses for people who misbehave or wreck or generally be abusive, but if your response to peoples silly mistakes like accidentally budging or crashing is 'you're getting a ban' - Well how do you expect an individual to react? I couldn't possibly count the amount of times I've been taken out whilst I'm on that super fast lap, but what can I do?
Evo: You've got my full respect, but sometimes you need to just ease up with the rule enforcing, you here to have fun like the rest of them and the more you ban the more you need to read useless posts like these which will probably anger you... Which probably means your BP is going higher, which increases risk of stroke/heart attack and all that.

Yeah and what an event it was! We've known about this event for a whole 3 days! Not to mention the fact none of us have driven the combo, I myself had only driven it a couple a times before with the FXO but that was eons ago.

You're really not in the position to be taking the piss out of any team or team suggestions, given the fact you run a demo team which is the laughing-stock not only within the LFS community, but the drifting community also. Next time someone asks for some serious advice, be sure that you offer the best you can, or none at all.

I think its some manufacturing law/agreement that all cars built in the EU are electronically limited to 155mph, don't quote me on this though but I think thats the case.
My utmost respect to you mate, more often then not you'll find people making teams and just abandoning them only weeks (even days) later. So fair play to you for waiting now and not making a team, I think people in general will hold more respect for someone who knows when to make the right choice

Id have to agree with the general vibe most people are going with here, if you really want LFS then buy it.
LFS is purely a luxury and not something you need desperately, some people in the western world today still struggle and are very much on the bread line. If you cannot afford to buy it then...well tough, you're going to have to deal with demo.

It would handle just as it would in the real world, people would then come to release how terrible it really does handle and refute it. Oh then call Scawen an idiot and try and convince us all that it would nail a Ferrari F430 round Nurburging

If it happened after a long while playing a 3D game then it must be hardware trouble, id check to see if the thing is over heating.
If it has a fan connected to its GPU check to see if its clogged up with dust and clean it if it is. Then just try play LFS and see how long it takes to go haywire. If it falls over again and only after a good while then id recommend a new graphics card.
But to be sure :
1) Shut down the machine
2) Give it plenty of time to cool - 45m+
3) Boot it up and get straight into LFS
If you have another game do these steps with that too, you don't want to go and splash out for a new card and release it only buggered up in LFS!

Or just have the ability for everyone to host their own hi-res skins remotely and have a path in their LFSW account, so if people have a 'download hi-res option' checked, it connects each LFSW account and downloads where needed. Or perhaps try and implement something to allow LFS to download directly through players on a server?

Yeah my team mate (Barros) suggested Ubuntu to me and I have to say its pretty bloody cool, compared to Debian and Slackware 
. It didn't have any trouble reading from my NTFS partition but I think it couldn't write back to it.
Id really like to use this more as my primary OS, but alot of stuff just doesn't work well or at all. I'm not a heavy programmer/web developer and I like to play games, so Windows for now is the best solution for me.

This is purely my opinion so feel free to ignore it and reject anything I have to say, but I think all those names are terrible. Not really sure where 'fatal' 'gravity' 'pulse' and 'logistics' really fit in with online simulation racing, but like I said its only my opinion.
I suggest you take a look at some of the well established teams and try to find what they all have in common, the name mostly doesn't really matter so much just as long as it isn't too much of a mouthful. Another thing you want to consider is why exactly you want to start a team to begin with?
There are alot of teams out there now that are looking for committed members, and its much easier to improve a team and get it a good reputation, then to start from nothing and expect it to come easily.

If thats the same Escort i think it is, then it used to belong to a fella called Paul who lives up the road from me. He initially payed like £5K for it, and it actually looked good to begin with.
It was featured at the time (98/99) in a few UK magazines and such, he then got his hands on it and turned it into the mess you see before you. He also slapped some NOS on it and blew the engine up doing he says 160mph, but we all think it was closer to 140.
It was for sale for ages and he was asking around £20K for it, people just laughed at him so I guess he sold it for alot less. He now drives a legacy thing that farts along...

Not really sure if its worth the extra money to be honest, how many people really bother making high-res skins anyway? The average Joe Racer on a public server is probably going to use some publicly available skin thats lower quality to begin with.
As for league events and such, people will probably do as they do now and create a skin pack for the participants to use.
