You've probably already fixed this problem by now, but I might aswell post this anyway.

I know whenever I reinstall Server 03 and all of the drivers for the gfx + Dx update I need to change the Hardware acceleartion back to full to allow LFS to boot. Although you say you are running as a dedicated server, im not really sure if it will help much here.

But if you can, bump up the hardware acceleration in your Display properties and see if that solves anything

Firstly would it be possible to have the selected item refresh whenever I have it selected in the server list? Have it on a small interval or something so that I don't need to refresh the whole list to find if there is a free slot available. Perhaps also include a 'Wait to join / queue' type function too, which starts LFS and connects or notifies me as soon as a slot is free.

Also, when I browse a server to view the players that are in the server, perhaps once a player name is double clicked it opens up there LFSWorld page to view their stats?

I'm sure these things could all be implemented, you might have already thought of them yourselves.

Once you reinstall windows you need to readjust the hardware acceleration, Im not sure if you need todo this with ATI but nVidia doesnt adjust it for you. You'll know it so if you use the nVidia control panel, if you right click on your desktop and go to properties, then try and select the nVidia tab in Settings, it will error and tell you why.

Probably isnt DirectX because XP has 8.1 I think as default.

NTL (Now Virgin Media) would be my first choice, perhaps a little pricey but its realiable. The customer service for NTL in general sucked, but its now under new management so perhaps they will improve in that area.

The modem and the topbox blew because of a thunder storm, they sent an engineer around 2 days later to replace it.. No questions no fuss..

My opinion is this : Whatever you can afford, buy it. The performance gain of things in the same price range is minimal, infact its probably not even noticable. It all comes down to money and how much you can spend and when you're next going to upgrade to a newer system.
