You're obviously very capable of handing out insults about others and their driving but really can't deal with any negative press against yourself.
Perhaps I should pull an older thread containing you and your emotional journey of 'I take my racing serious, but you guys think I'm crap and it hurts me' LINK : http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=27899
Besides how can Quicksilver be aggressive, he's always behind everyone
This line here is testing my morals so it makes it personal right?
And yeah ok they get to manipulate the demo cars to have more or less power, or even go as far as alter the car type and such but they still see the XRT interior and model.
Denying them access to these tweaks really wont encourage them to purchase S2 in my opinion, I think it will just split the demo and licensed community even further. Another reason I disagree with the idea is that you've simply gone ahead and completely ruled it out, you've not given it a chance or any room for a compromise.
Anyone who has tampered with this stuff knows how annoying it is to keep track of the numbers and how tricky it is to locate them, so its no 5 minute project
I've pretty much put across what I wanted you guys to read so feel free to ignore this post!
Most of what you've just said has been discussed in another topic posted in the programmer section of the forum, and I understand all the views that have been put forward. I just don't see how tweaking the XRT to XXXbhp is supplying more content as its already part of the demo license.
The rules *there state that any modification that changes the car shape/model or enables people to cheat online or the HLVC system will be removed, doesn't really cover anything about the demo users and tweaking demo cars.
Bob has also made it perfectly clear that any software/mod that has not been accepted by the moderators will never be seen on this forum, Oh and any reference to it will also be removed.
So they are the "moderator" rules but its not really important and it really wont change anything, who am I to argue with moderators?
Each time me and my friend rebuilt our CR250's we'd take them to the local corn field and basically give them hell for 20 minutes, after that they'd be running sweet as a nut.
Just make sure you have some decent oil and adjust it accordingly (rich/lean) to each stage of the menace!
However if you're new to the whole virgin engine game just take it easy, run a bit more oil and just pootle along blipping the throttle when and where you feel the need to.
All cars in LFS are tweakable and its available to demo users just not via the LFS forums due to moderator 'rules' - However nothing is currently available YET due to personal things?
That option is already available if you look in your Gauges folder for the car you want, open the Gauges.ini and under Speed change typ=1 to typ=0 - It still uses the KPH clock but it ticks in MPH
Lpe_91 : Its in the zip folder you downloaded, all you need todo is extract it to the LFS main folder (i.e: C:\Program Files\LFS\ - or whatever your LFS path is)
Ive had a few issues with the Gauges today, they often disappeared when I entered spectator mode in single player. And the only way I could return them was to restart LFS - so is this something out of your control or can it be fixed?
Just tried them out - they're beautiful - I think you should contact Scawen to use these dials for real I think they're ultra sexy. Its a shame they dont integrate so well into the cockpit, as this would certainly revive LFS for me!!!
8/10 For the function and use
10/10 For visual styling
Yeah so you better agree to the general flow of things here before we turn this into a danowat witch hunt, and we all know what a good ol "internet" witch hunt can do to a person.
danowat: It isn't really about an avatar though is it?
Its being told to do this and never to say that and accept this or get this, although this is only a forum its still a community and as such what you see here is reminiscent of what you get in the real world. People waving the big stick at you telling you how to live your life or face a fine or prison time, you either comply or they deny you what it is you want and everyone sits back and takes it.
I believe J.B has a separate S2 license account that he uses when he wants to go racing online, and has kept this demo name purely for forum use. Besides where's the harm in him having an avatar as a demo user? No one seems to have mentioned it before and now people want him to change?
Wow that be pretty uncool if you ask me, not really sure what Nuse is trying to pull here but it wont get him nothing but trouble. I don't know much about J.B except he's ein kraut and very intelligent, oh and his demo user status with an avatar made him a god - Cause all dem little demo newbz be wanting an avatar!
Personally I feel the 'moderators' have a little too much control around these parts to begin with, but thats just my personal opinion and Ill try and leave it at that. It just seems that they often favor particular people and basically like to 'show off' their E-Tackle.
www.pandora.com - Its a customizable music station - input an artist name or song title and it will create a music station to your liking. Only down side is that it requires registration and only open to US residents, but if you google a zip code and slot that in it will work fine
Please explain your theory on 'exploited positional packets' and how one would firstly read and then implement them, I'm really quite fascinated with this oh and do share who you think this person is.
