Quote from sun :OMG I 'am bothered to learn how to code... omg i cant say because i can code, i can make windows games (little) i can make applications, but when it comes to !send command its all of topic, So STOP THAT STUFF! FOR THE LAST TIME !

What's so difficult to understand?

Check to see if the user has the available 'funds' - If he has then add them to the user he is sending them to and deduct it from his 'funds' what else is there?

P.S : From what I've seen of all your previous threads, my guess is you know little to nothing about developing code, but I'm sure you're well aware of that.

You'll be wanting Analyze for Speed of LFS Replay Analyser - These handle .RAF files and pretty much give you all the information you'll want.

Great idea, but in reality it probably won't be anything more then an idea.

To begin with, Scawen would need to code some form of server/client to enable all this to begin with, and this really strays from the current objective of creating 'the best simulator possible' so that alone stops it dead in its tracks.

Another thing you need to consider is the bandwidth required for all this, who is going/willing to host a 'VS' server that allows 120+ users connect to it for free? Ok, so you mention potential advertisement and sponsors and stuff, but this won't happen right away.

Finally, the technology is already available, and on both fronts. LFS-TV for people who have LFS (although this could do with some more development), and just regular broadcasting/streaming technology which has been around for a few years now.

Quote from jarmenia :So I guess the follow up question would be what's the best way to get better racing in traffic without wrecking people on line since the AI doesn't seem to be the answer?

You've payed for your S2 licence so why restrict yourself to singleplayer just for the sake of what other people might think?

The fact that you show consideration to other drivers BEFORE you've even gone online shows that you're no idiot and you probably have enough track sense to avoid any real accidents or crashes. If anything the AI should show you about unpredictability within a racing environment, because races don't always go to plan, especially when you have two or more people fighting for a position.

But hey, its all the fun of the fair right?

Quote from Lateralus :<--- Big stuffness --->

Haha, sort of reminds me when we moved to Western Australia, my dad had to take a driving test to legally drive in Australia. It was conducted by the local Police officer (who also run the local bar and shop - I think?) and it only involved him reversing down a narrow alley avoiding bin cans.

You passed meight, crack open a tinny!

OT : Driving age is pretty bloody stupid anyway, I guess its just an easier way to riddle out the idiots and hope that by the time they reach 18 they'll be reasonable and mature enough to handle such a dangerous bit of kit. I'm sure I was responsible enough at age 15 to be able to drive, not so sure about now.

They look cool, until you fall over and break your knee caps

Walking on stilts = easy.

Standing up on these things = X10 harder then you think.

Actually moving = Impossible (for the first 10 hours)

Be prepared for pain, pain, more pain, possibly even death. Or just stick to firm grass

You're an idiot.

Good day.

Edit : I hate to drag myself further into this with you but :
Proud to be banned from Redline Racing!
I'm done

This thread is immature, and only posted so the OP can feel as if he's created some very active thread and feels like he's done a good days posting.

Use the Block messages key - and continue your racing, it's really that simple. If you find a few idiots on LFS too much to handle then your life is going to be a bit of a dissapointment, theres much worse out there.

P.S : We don't need more and more threads highlighting faults and issues with LFS or the community, it doesn't bring us anything, and it just brings the game further into the gutter.

My guess is YouTube will probably branch out some High Quality stuff seeing as Stage6 is now dead and gone.

Lets hope!

Quote from PioneerLv :Off topic, but let me understand...

I am thinking about one thing. What are so inpossible to change LFSWorld username? Why devs can't change it? They made that engine, they own it and can manipulate just how they want. Why devs can't simply change your username in LFSWorld without affecting on you PB's, records etc.

There is nothing impossible...

The devs could change it, I don't think it would be very difficult at all, the trouble is.

1) If you let one person do it, or allow it once, others will ask.

2) If everyone had the ability to change their LFS nickname, then they'd become invisible and bans and such would no longer apply as normal, and then they'd have to write some extra code to possibly generate IDs (numbers) to keep track of bans etc (which is more time, work, and resources).

Text based Lacrosse game in C++

For one, wouldn't it be a little boring as a text based game? Couldn't you atleast attempt to move it up a level to 2D, and if not, then why bother with C++? It seems a little over complicated for the task at hand, or am I alone with thinking this?

Goodluck doh!

Quote from Lhunathwen :It wouldn't be that bad if we'd been given better possibilities for setup creation, but I (we) as player feel quite left alone with the most important part in LFS.

There are still missing:
- A well documentation not only covering physics but what setting exactly causes what in LFS-
- A problem-solution-documentation covering what to change to solve speciffic balance problems (LFS still does not work as real life, as ride height does not influence downforce for example)
- Ingame tools that help you analyze replays to see which (spring *example*) settings to change in which direction to improve grip/ balance ect.

If it was not so difficult and time consuming to create setups, racers could concentrate more on racing instead of playing pit engineer, and that's what LFS is/ should be about => racing.

I can see what you're saying with this because not everyone has the time patience or knowledge to create setups, but again I think if you spent about 30 minutes playing with a setup or trying to create a setup you would find that it really is very easy, and most setups don't require a full rework for different tracks.

80% of the time I take an existing reliable setup that suits my driving style (which I've either tweaked before, or has been given to me by another driver) and just go ahead and make fine adjustments according to what track it is I'm driving. With this method of creating/adjusting setups you give yourself the opportunity to either only make small adjustments (camber/tyre pressures/down force) or go all out and completely rework (camber/tyre pressures/down force/anti-roll/spring rates/bound rates/etc..etc..) it so its specifically created for that particular track.

Alternatively you could go to a setup site www.setupgrid.net and just download a setup for that particular track you're wanting to race on, However I think you'd get more enjoyment and satisfaction out of creating your own setup, and then having people ask for it because they think its making you fast.

I'm no designer by any means but I love to play around with photoshop and pretend I'm some design whiz, but I know a few fundamental things that apply to how branding works and how logos and company names work.

I see a lot of you seem to think for a logo to become successful it needs to tell you exactly what it represents, which isn't true, but is more of an added bonus if somehow you strike it lucky to achieve and deliver what it is you're making this logo for. Take a few examples of the big brand names and logos around the world, only very few of these tell you instantly what it is this company does with the logo they use.

Just look at the big yellow M that McDonalds use, how does that tell you that they sell food? It doesn't but you associate the big M with food because they've been bombarding you with it for years in advertisement. So any logo anyone here produces is valid and is worthy to become the new MoE logo, it doesn't need to include the infinity loop or anything that really tries to suggest endurance, because ultimately its how the logo is used and seen that will add this association.

Loving some of the suggestions so far, I'd love to submit something but I is a newb and I'd feel embarrassed cause you'd all laugh

Some of you little bitches need to get a grip...

Firstly, you don't even know the guy more then his LFS persona so whatever bullshit judgement you pass on him is completely meaningless and just dramatization. The only respect you should have lost is self respect, due to the rubble you've gone and posted that made you sound like a drama queen.

All I can say is you're an idiot for taking it into school and now you should just take whatever comes to you and move on, it'll probably be laughed out of court anyway.
