"You may know or not know that the G25 Wheel is yet to be released in
the UK.

It was expected to be here by Mid October, as this time has passed now
we have had an update today from Logitech on when to expect the first
stock in the UK. They have told us that the stock is shipping over to us
tommorow, and will arrive with us within 7-10 days. This i honestly
believe is actually very good news, as other retailers are now not
expecting stock till the end of November. So hopefully we will have it first
now "

They better make it quick, I move next Wednesday! Figured it'd be delivered well before then.

You'll be able to get S939 chips for a while yet, even if they're not coming out with new models you can get impressively fast ones which can only drop in price as AM2 gains popularity. Abit do some good S939 PCI-E boards at a reasonable price. I recently upgraded to an S939 based 3400+ system and I'm not worried about availabilty of faster chips when I next need to upgrade.

AM2 is exclusively DDR2 as far as I know.

Don't suppose any of you guys in contact with Gameseek have heard if Logitech have sent them out yet?

I've not seen a RHD car with the shifter on the right yet. I have driven some old pickup that had it behind the steering wheel where you normally expect an indicator stalk though, that was pretty weird.

Rubbish? Try making better than that by hand If you have access to equipment to work with alloy, more power to you I guess.

That'll be good for gaming. Make sure you use a quality PSU though, if it can't handle much on the 12v rail you could end up with stability issues.

Btw in the end I brought a pre-built base system because a local shop had it sitting there for a great price. Athlon64 3400 939, 550W PSU, 200gb HD, 1GB ram, ATI chipset mobo, phillips dvd burner, then usual bits, £180. Added a 7300GT £130, fitted a slightly better HSF, had a play with the clockspeeds, well chuffed. Oh and put that Digimate screen on my other pc and got a better quality Sony, its much nicer for gaming.

Oh dear, there goes my weekend...I used to be a lot better at mario 10 years ago.

Instant availability..not in the UK mate. Closest thing to that I know of right now is Gameseek, and perhaps ordering direct from Logi would be a day quicker.

Well Gameseek reckon they'll have them sometime in the next week or so..but who knows when Logitech will be able to send them to retailers. Dabs could end up getting them the same time as anywhere else..

I paid them through Paypal, so the money was taken off me instantly. I thought this was standard policy, but then again I very rarely preorder unreleased stuff, normally wait for others to do all the testing before I spend my dosh.

Aye I'm not blaming the retailer, pre-release dates are always moved around, just damning you can buy them in a lot of countries but not here yet. Never mind though hopefully Logi will get them to retailers next week.

So we should have them by next weekend with a bit of luck. The waiting is the worst Notice they've pushed back the release date 7 days on the website again.

Haven't even recieved an email back from the question I sent them a few days ago let alone confirmation they're instock.

Because it doesn't replace the sound, only overlays it. Which is currently its biggest problem, beacuse you can't eliminate LFS's own engine noise for your car without turning off the sound for all the other cars as well.

Indeed, didn't expect you to be upgrading so quickly. Something tells me theres going to be a small flood of DFP's up for sale a few days after the g25 is out in the UK. Personally I'm glad I parted with mine before they're only worth £20

Personally, as long as the "feel" of the enviroment is retained, I don't much care whats changed regarding signs, font used etc. Its your modification, do with it as you please mate.

mrfell it looks like Gameseek is going to have them the soonest, if not already then they should in the next few days based on all the available infomation.

If Gameseek push it back to the end of the month I'm gonna go nuts with this Sidewinder..and I move on the 1st Nov, giving them a different address would confuse things.

Shame even if they do indeed have them now, and post them today, we won't get them till Monday. Typical i got this weekend off. Starting to get used to no FF again.
