You should always make sure your GPU drivers are the most current available before installing the new VR updates.

You could also try going back to an older VR driver version and see if it still has the same problem.

Failing that, it may be a conflict with another driver somewhere else in your system.

Quote from Racon :If LFS isn't running or is on the first screen/menu, you can just double-click the replay file wherever it is on your filesystem.

Sorry, I should have said 'if you want them to be visible in the in-game replay list, it needs to be in the replays folder'.

Racon's second point is invaluable for admins - the confusion from troublemakers when you're chatting in-game and watching them in the replay at the same time can make for some excellent foot-in-mouth moments... Big grin

I'm a bit lazy, so I did this one to fit both cars - some of the placement is a bit tight, but I had to make small sacrifices to fit everything in.

Simply make copies of the file and rename them for each car you wish to use.

It might work on other cars to, but to be honest, I haven't even tested it on the FXO or RB4 at all either... Sort of a blindfold-russian-roulette-potluck project. I have no idea how it'll look...

I had a similar problem for a while - I think it was the number of replays stored in the folder had reached some sort of cap...

I moved all of the existing files to a backup folder, and it started saving them properly again after that. You need to move the older files back to the original folder if you want to watch them again.

Hope this helps.

Quote from sermilan :Bud Spenser (alias Carlo Pedersoli), hero of my childhood. Watched many of his Bud Spenser & Terence Hill movies. Thank you and RIP!

Hear hear! Very sad to hear this news - he was responsible for a lot of riotous laughter when i was a kid... Frown

It was incredibly moving to see so many Romans come out to see him off. RIP big fella.

The right to refuse service is a constant across all facets of goods and service provision all around the world.

They are well within their rights to refuse access to their server, for any reason or none at all, even if it is to their own detriment.

Complaining about it on this forum will not achieve anything whatsoever.

Let it go.

Quote from Ball Bearing Turbo :...plus the DK2 doesn't have full head tracking if I recall correctly - that's a big thing.

You're thinking of the DK1 - DK2 definitely has full tracking.

If you were only interested in drifting, S1 would suit you fine, but for racing you will probably need to get S2, as that's the minimum for most active racing servers.

There are a few S1-only servers out there, but they are almost always empty, as everyone interested in competitive multiplayer tend to keep up with the upgrades.

Quote from MikeB :Lol, once you exprienced some close racing in VR there is no going back. The immersion and presence is breathtaking, there is no going back ever to Simracing with a flat screen. For me that's like watching a race on TV compared to actually racing.

I think I said the same thing about a year ago, and not just in LFS. VR has ruined all driving sims for me. I tried going back to a flat screen, more for the social aspect than anything practical, and found it really difficult to readjust.

I have an i5-4590 with a GTX660 powering my DK2. It's failed every benchmark test that's been thrown at it, but it has run everything I've tried on it up to this point. Elite: Dangerous, AC, PCars, all the demos and showcases - no problem.

Some of the higher-end games like Elite and PCars struggle a little bit, but not to the point where it's completely unplayable. There are a lot of people on their forum with the same problems, but way better gear, so I don't think it's all to do with the hardware...

LFS runs like a dream. No lag or judder at all.

I'd be interested in hearing what race-control had to say about that - should have been given a time-penalty at the very least.

Quote from Sylvie20 :and the next thing I know I got forced into spectator mode for security reasons. What does that mean?

In that particular instance, it's a script that checks maximum speeds for odd (hacker) behaviour. But in this case, what has happened is that lag will sometimes cause the physics to go a bit crazy - when one car hits another, the physics won't notice until the netcode updates. By that time, the cars might be trying to pass through one another, so the physics interprets the collision as much harder than it actually was. The worse the lag, the more spectacular (can also be read as annoying) the collisions get.

The other thing these scripts will check for is out-of-control spinning, and some even force you into spectator mode for driving into restricted spaces (such as the grass areas on the inside approach to corners, to foil crashers).

Remember also, a lot of the better team-run servers encourage the drivers to report unsportsman-like and generally bad behaviour on their team forums. This can result in troublemakers disappearing for a few days or more... Just remember to save the replay of the race for proof (or to check that it wasn't actually your fault Big grin).
