I think they're both quite cool - and I'm not typically a fan of rotary engines. Nice work Smile

Quote from Racer X NZ :So you need to keep caring by keeping banning.

But that's not what we're saying here - yes, a ban would see them coming back, but a block list would allow them to vent their spleen without derailing the conversation for the rest of us (unless people who haven't blocked them reply), and they wouldn't be aware that their audience was disappearing.

They also wouldn't be able to unleash streams of invective through PM like what Amynue had to put up with.

Consolidation is better for the community. Having a greater number of car/track combinations than actual players only spreads everyone out too thinly.

I agree with k_badam - perhaps it's time to introduce a new demo circuit?

I voted Westhill because it's a masterpiece. Very few racing games go to so much trouble over the scenery surrounding the track, and make it all driveable.

Reposting other people's skins isn't cool, dude - especially when it's a private skin. Most people can figure out for themselves that you can rename the files anyway, so at the end of the day, you're just spamming.

Hey guys, I've fixed the link - Not sure why that link was dodgy - It was fine when I tested it the other day, and now today it sometimes doesn't work, when it did it insisted on needing a key (I made the link non-keyed). I guess Dotcom has other things on his mind right now...

It's now a forum attachment.

Do you have any other controllers, peripherals or other usb devices that might be conflicting with the wheel? Try unplugging everything that's unnecessary and restart with just the wheel and your keyboard and mouse.

If that's not it, try the latest Logitech Gaming Software from here. That cd you have will probably be a few years old now...

I hope this does it for you.

I've been doing this a while with the old photoshop extended, but the results were never anywhere as clean as this. Good find Smile

The only thing I can think of trying is uninstalling and reinstalling the Wheel drivers. If that's not it, there's a deeper problem somewhere, in the OS maybe.
Have you tried the wheel on other games with FFB? If you have the same problem, you may need to try it out on another computer.

It'd be great it they could be made to be 3D too. They're the only thing that breaks the immersion in VR, but then I just tell myself that they're little TV screens, not mirrors, and the world makes sense.

Potluck skin pack - this is every FXO skin in my LFSW library right now.

Mega.nz seems to be having problems, so I've attached the rar file here.

All uploaded to LFS world, and all free to use and modify in any way you see fit - but you're uploading those ones yourself. Razz
Credit me if you want to.
Enjoy! Smile

Quote from drakox :Hello, please - i have G27 and now havent in LFS force feedback (in game "on"), only auto centering spring Frown
other games are ok...

You could also try running the Logitech Profiler and look in the Options menu for Global Device Settings

Try these settings:

Degrees of rotation will depend on what car you are driving - i find it is always best to adjust that here rather than in-game. You might note that Allow game to adjust settings is checked, but this doesn't always work, for some reason. For me at least :/

You're obviously just here to troll, because everything you just wrote shows a willful lack of understanding of everything i have written.

You haven't contributed anything to this thread, other than to attempt to ridicule me, and parrot what others have already said. You can continue spamming if you like, I won't be adding anything further. Your behaviour is beneath contempt.

Well you obviously didn't read it Racer X, because you've completely missed the point of what I wrote. Practice only gets you so far, understanding what and why adjustments to your setup affect the way your car behaves is also important.

R3Kinitiate: have a read thru this basic guide to setting up your car, and then when you think you have a handle on it, have a look through the advanced guide too. This is where those extra tenths of seconds come from.

Quote from GreyBull [CHA] :Pretty sure he meant BL1 and 1:35.

His XRG BL1 pb is 2:10 - definitely talking about rallycross here.

R3Kinitiate: It's all about finding the optimum angle for your slide - too little, you're not going fast enough through the corner; too much, the friction of the slide is slowing you down. Watching others will give you some idea of where you should be aiming, but differences in setups, especially gearing, will cause all cars to behave differently.

Ultimately, it's all about learning what your car does and doesn't do and adapting, whether that be by altering your driving style or your car's setup, and that takes time, patience and practice.

Your editing isn't bad - quite good, imo. The problem is that there's no 'story'. I don't mean a literal story, but I think a good clip needs to come to a conclusion of some sort. You have a really good start, a nice middle, but the end just seems unfinished.

Your editing style is shaping up nicely - I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with next. Smile

There was a time back when my father was racing in Formula Vee, all you needed to comply with the regulations was the engine and running gear to a certain spec. Bodywork was left up to the owner of the car, and as time went on, and ideas around aerodynamics developed (and pieces needed replacing because oops), each car developed its own distinct look.

What I'm proposing isn't so much a new car, but varying bodywork for a few of the existing cars. Small variations that would still fit within the existing collision boxes and that have no real effect on performance, but would add a nice visual variation to the grid when used in different combinations.

Done subtly, they wouldn't interfere with most existing skins, or add any extra pieces that need accounting for - with the exception of air-foils maybe.

The image attached is from the 2015 NZ Honda cup season - this is a great little entry-level series, with lots of variation in models and years. There's at least one civic from every 3-door model they've produced in that field somewhere... Smile

If you can, use a cable to connect to your modem. Wi-fi is horrible for gaming.
Also, make sure you don't have anything else running in the background on your computer that might be trying to use the internet at the same time. Programs like Skype, for instance, can be bad upstream bandwidth-hogs.

I gave you what I felt was a fair testimonial for LFS's services, as I believe would any other paid-up member of this community. Any trouble you have had comprehending it is not our problem.
