The GTI server is a great place to race but as some have mentioned the standard of racing in general can be poor, but near the front of the grid there is some very good drivers racing clean.

I don't know who in SR are admins but reading this thread it looks like some SR members (like Zeug) are of the "revenge wreckers should be banned with the wreckers" belief a hard line stance but I do happen to agree with
then others (like S14Daft) seem to think revenge wrecking is quite OK as long as its to "teach them a lesson" and posting about being more agressive than the next guy etc, shocking reading.

It is very frustrating joining the server, starting at the back and getting bumped and shoved all race but "teaching someone a lesson" cannot be achieved but repeating their actions and revenge wrecking.

Last time I found the racing at this server alot cleaner than the language, if it were up to me (and its not lol) I would 1 hour bann for swearing also.

When your LFS credit falls below £1.00 or equivelent, you will recieve an E-mail from the LFSTech, letting you know you will need to top up to continue to recieve the HQ skins.

IIRC minimum "top up" is £3.00
£1.00 = 2000 skin downloads, better value than itunes

I just updated my LFS to the patch Z10 test patch (with ABS) the XFG is in the list of cars that should have ABS, and it is listed as a setup option, however my question is where is the button to enable ABS or is it on by default?

Is brake help (options/driver) required to "switch on" ABS?

I can lock up all wheels in the XFG and see no setup option to add ABS

I must be missing somthing

I get a few problems with my G25 somtimes like it not recognising buttons etc.
A global fix is to unplug then replug the usb cable.

If you lose force feedback you can switch it off then back on in options/controls/axis/FF, that works well.

I always re-calibrate ingame each time I start LFS then lock after moving pedals and wheel to full lock/pressed positions a few times,

If you switch between windows and LFS always use shift+F4 otherwise you may need to re-calibrate when returning to an open LFS.

You know, the option to have a blank plate template from your own country (to mimic the style etc) would be a great ingame option I can't remember if LFS asks you what nationality you are when you set it up.

Right now LFS has only the UK style (amber-rear white-front).

Its the little details that would make it so much more

I don't know the workload involved in creating maybe 30-40 templates, then making a system for changing/displaying them ingame, its probably been suggested before.

I have to agree with Moose, Sinbad & others, the right group of drivers will have great races regardless of the car/track etc.
IMO the slower or road cars provide closer racing in general because they are a little more forgiving than some of the ss or race cars, allowing for minor mistakes to be made without losing too much time or too many places in the train. The 2 demo road cars are also very easy to learn to drive & race because their so forgiving.

I,ve raced with many Auzzies without lag, distance only accounts for small increases in latency these days, wireless networks are fine for most things but serious gaming requires a cable.

The frequencys that wireless routers use, is in the same range as loads of other "household" stuff from cordless phones to baby monitors, and all are susceptable to electrical interference.

Maybe you could try a long patch cable, and turn the wireless off for one session to compare?

I used to play FPS games like BF2 BF2142 America's Army etc, but even with punkbuster etc they all end up full of cheaters, thats when/why I stopped playing them.
LFS now has its fair share of cheaters too (macro clutchers) its a shame but I think its just a trend all games are affected by one way or another, people just seem to want to cheat.

some people get this, some dont, check your internet cables etc, if your connecting through a wireless network, try a cable, as Shadow has said turn off any other programs on your PC when you play LFS.

Someone else on your network maybe using P2P?

check your PC for spyware and do a full system virus scan.

With his brothers permission, its a bit like introducing a friend by letting them have a go on your PC, I totally agree Sam its a domestic issue

If some peeps have trouble unlocking the game on a Uni computer, that does not automatically allow them to just to bypass the licence system does it? I thought that what the commercial licences were for.
