As for real tracks LFS doesn’t need real tracks as this would just bring up the old arguments that "X car can lap faster at Y track in this sim so it must be better physics" ect.
I think that more fictional content for lfs would be a greater advantage, and should be easier to make and cheaper too, unless track
owners are giving away laser data?

I'm sure by now the US probably has a satellite or 2 that could scan the track from space by now anyway

Ahh the old days of the past
LFS has come a long way since then, but don't feel bad about it

When the next official patch arrives I feel sure it will bring another surge of online activity as every major update has over the years

Hi Mopheus and welcome to the forums.

I would look at your internet connection, and router including your LAN device drivers as when reinstalling your OS you may need to reinstall the mobo drivers also, I don't know if your "old installation" is on another HDD? if so you may want to try installing a fresh LFS to your Local OS HDD check all your LAN cables and/or wireless settings.

Many many things can cause disconnections including other LAN users, busy servers, poor internet, bad/loose cables, OS drivers, ect ect.

Sometimes a restart will help with this kind of problem too
Maybe if you continue to experiance problems please post your system specs and what OS ect the more info you give the better people can help you

I read about this a couple days ago, a great idea and maybe less than a year to bring to full production, of course not many "poor" familys have a TV with usb port, but its still a great idea for the less well off like students ect.

And from one of the developers of Elite too, man I remember that game so well, one of the best games of all time, had me totally hooked back in the day.

Interesting to see you joining the growing torrent of lfs bashers Kev, is it really the sim that dictates if you or I race, drift or cruise?

I find it amusing that some of these hardcore Iracing players have probably spent so much on their beloved sim that they could have started a real racing career in ministocks or some other entry level motorsport.

Of course some are probably just too fat & unfit to do this and others I am sure would be banned after being too aggressive for the real world.

you will need to check the quality of your internet connection first.
go to speedtest.net then pingtest.net and post your results.

Other things that could be causing problems include....
other users on your LAN
P2P or other software on your PC
patch cable kinks or loose connections.
Wireless links..If your using wireless then try with a cable to rule it out.


Also if you suspected your post was in the wrong section, maybe it is think about looking at the forum sections before posting
Maybe the technical assistance forum would be a better place

What graphics card make model?
second adaptor? do you mean plug adaptor (dongle) or second gfx card in crossfire or SLI mode?

What cable connections to each screen/gfx card?
What resolutions to each screen?

Are you changing the plugs over each time you change screens or do you have one as primary and one secondary?

any other additional info might help

It could just be down to display performance with your 50" having 3X slower latency or greater resolution, some TVs will even up/down scale the picture adding latency and degrading the picture.

Without the extra worry about bank accounts etc I would imagine there is a reasonable chance that these "LFS mod files" include data miners to locate and collect your LFS username/passwords and send it to the questionable indivudials who make this kind of illegal mod.

Its not that implausible is it?

Most of the drivers round here don't bother switching the lights on at all even in the rain and fog!!

I'm with Dan on the whole HID thing.... a pair of Osram Nightbreakers is quite enough light to see where your going. keeping the lights clean is more important IMO

@S14 if you want your car to "look the bizz" thats your choice don't let anyone rip you for it now how about a couple sets of rally giants on the front grille?

Am I understanding that the "trick" is to drive with full tank for around an hour then put in a couple of quick laps before fuel runs out?

or is it that you just spin the front wheels to make them very hot on the 1st couple of laps??
