I think thats all the cars Ive owned so far but I may have forgot a few or got the years a little wrong
I owned a 1984 Renault 5 Gordini Turbo also, but only drove it once
and also a Mazda 323, a boxy Lada estate, Ford Mondeo estate, a Triamph Herald or 2, VW polo, infact everytime I think about it I remember more
I think it could be a great thing, especially if everybody used it
Race2Play is not free, and I think that puts many off.
CTRA/UKCT had a nice thing going, maybe it will do a "phoenix" in the future
The problem is these things take up alot of man hours and fewer people are willing to continue to put the time and effort into this type of thing.
One general (and highly detailed) set of "rules" would be a great idea, many leagues could link to it instead of everyone having to make up new rules for each new competition/League.
Absolutly nothing wrong with your suggestion, there have been previous suggestions to allow LFS to operate in a "freeplay" mode that would remove all the road blocks and open up the complete city map for cruising/drifting.
even tho LFS is described as a "racing simulator" I feel things like this as long as they are enabled serverside+clientside, they cannot detract from the hardcore racers experiance at all, and if easy to program "freeplay mode" could be a big licence seller and should be allowed.
Virtual gauges have no background, so I don't think it would be a problem
I think having all the info on screen at the same time could be useful, there is the question of it looking cluttered, but I think even if F9 and F10 info were drawn on top of each other it would still be readable.
Can you not place LFS inside a passworded folder on your work PC, or make a new user account (passworded) just for when you want to "bunk off" and play LFS then you could leave LFS unlocked, just in a safe place
I was testing some last night and noticed that different cars and car setups, produce different amounts of "slack" in the center position, also this thread might help, it seems if you change the wheel rotation in the setup, this too can reduce the center slackness feeling, at least for me and some of my setups.
Is your brothers PC on the same network as yours? so you both use the same internet connection? any other people in your house on same connection?
maybe your brother is on the same network and playing WoW or something all the time?
please if you want help with your problem, try to give us more information about your connection type (wireless or wired) and hardware (router or modem types) and also your PC specs inc OS and other programs running.
I know english may not be your 1st language but the more you can tell us the more likely someone here could try to help you
I would telephone your ISP and ask if they apply any "bandwidth throttling" or "port limiting" to their customers connection, some ISPs use packet inspection to control traffic and reduce bandwidth to P2P users.
Do you turn off all other applications that use the internet when you play LFS?
like P2P clients, automatic updates, instant message software, itunes etc.
To the OP... are you using wireless to connect to the internet by any chance?
Its easy to throw disconnection problems at LFS, however many of us LFS users do not get disconnected, therefore it will be most likely something else.
Of course the Devs read this forum, I have seen many of the improvements suggested, implemented over the years.
Why on earth would anyone expect an official reply to every suggestion? it would be a waste of time for the developers, and I really don't think they need to "duh, show any respect" if it gets implemented into the game then great if not then not.
I cannot give any proof, however its my opinion that at least 1 developer reads every single thread in this section.
Don't let em bring you down Dan, its people like you, offering your time and money, that give hope against the general downward spiral this forum/community seems to be going through.
Good luck mate.
SD.
EDIT: I think the bickering that we always tend to see here, just highlights some peoples immaturity, and unfortunately this normally transfers from the forum posts to the track.
In another of your posts you mention you haven't played since 0.5X,
When you start LFS the version number is shown at the bottom of the first screen, what version are you running now?
Have you added, replaced or edited any file within the LFS folder? like a texture pack or something?
Depending on how and when you paid for your S2 license, sometimes it takes a few days to show.
bind (/press 7 and /press8 etc) to the buttons you want to use, by clicking the "wheel button" next to it then press the button you want on your wheel.
Both SilverArrows and Unrivaled have made very good points
In this competition Dan could very well give the prize to the player with the silliest haircut, or to the the most ugly
my point is its completely up to Dan
It is very possible that T7R could hold a similar competition in the future (no promises at this stage) and I believe a "my best race" mpr showing racecraft would be a nice idea for preselection into a prize draw.
Of course there has to be at least 50 people to make a top 50, how many drivers have submitted laps Dan?
I would have thought there would have been many more
I have just randomly picked those 2 pics just to illustrate where the worst cutting occurs, I have seen far worse at FE1/FE1R as flame says above the tyre stacks soon disappear, and the problem becomes worse.
I only asked here because its not in the OP's rules, and after asking a couple of times myself in the server chat at FE1, for people to stop, they just carried on doing it, and fine I suppose as no rules are broken by it. I personally don't like or do it, and only because your are running a weekly/monthly points system do I mention it here, at FE1 if you cut you can gain nearly 1/2 second per lap, so if the leader does it and no one else does, he gets max points, and fastest lap/sector points.
It seems there is no incentive for anyone not to cut under the current rules, only sportsmanship prevents the "better" drivers from doing the same thing.
Jason, it is happening and is an issue, what's your position on the 2 pics above?
