I tried to install it but it crashed every time about 40% through the install..... I'll wait for the release then I can choose which bits I want to install rather than have to install everything....
The V8's do have limited grip and the tyres used, while giving more grip as AMP has said, also have limited width tyres to ensure better racing.... from what I was told! Same for the spoilers.... they are limited too.....
if a lot of people are signed up, then the server splits are decided based on iRating. If you have done well in a few races as a rookie, you will have upped your iRating. As a rookie, you don't get to see your iRating as the main focus is on getting your safety rating up. However, if you do a time trial or qualify session and you're the only person in it, you will get to see the average iRating for the session. If you're the only one in it, you will see your iRating
Maybe you were placed in the higher bunch based on iRating due to doing well
They do. Typically the higher licensed cars. The Indy car, the DP/Radical multiclass. Not sure about the Corvette but I don't think that one does. Those two i think, apart from hosted races.
yeah, in the real car, the understeer isn't like that at all. There's a lot more grip to the car. I didn't find the oversteer different turning left to right either.....
I think you're a lot right about the tyre modelling. With that not right, it will really throw out the car handling. However, if you look at the setup screens, they seem more comparable to the impala than you'd expect on the V8, no?
the V8 is way off mate. The setup screens are also brought over from the Impala setups for ovals! Having just driven the V8, I can safely say, it's very wrong in feel.
Another season comes to an end and I know it's a lot of time and effort that goes in to planning, managing and sorting everything that makes this event!
Thanks very much for putting on this event for the many drivers that take part....... Really enjoyed the season and had a lot of fun!
