smoke doesn't come unless your tires are getting hot.
when its hot, its all about how heavy your right foot is, just floor your throttle to the max, you can enter the corner gracefully, while you've passed the apex, just floor it all the way to the exit, leaving trail of smoke.
sometimes the rev bouncing off the redline doesn't create much smoke either, if you shift up one gear you might produce greater wheel spin.
more wheel spin = more smoke.
sometimes when you drift, it doesn't necessary means that your rear tires are spinning though (depends on how you drive), so pay attention to that if you wanna produce smokey slides.

haha I do that sometimes, except the finger waving part.
it helps me cooling down, firing it up in a server is pretty pointless for me, if I'm really pissed, I'd just leave the server (with a few curses maybe lol) and shut off LFS and do something else. When I felt better, I'll just come back again.

er, that's weird, you meant street racing, but you doing it in blackwood, why don't you just go to South City instead (since you have S2), it's a "city" though, so at least you're kinda "street" racing over there.

just wondering, how long have you been using the Momo Racing?
I once had a Wingman, and it has similar problems, it has nothing to do with the calibration or anything related to it, but its something like how the logitech pedal "spiking" problems, the pot inside the wheel is the main source of the problem, I opened the steering case of my Wingman and kinda fixed the pot and the problem is gone temporarily.
So far I haven't got this problem on my Momo Racing, but the pedals = yes.

it doesn't work for me as well.
for example, my original f1 displays a yellow colored "^_^" smiley.
with P10 installed, whenever I type a sentence followed up with a f1 smiley, the message would display something like this:
"Hello guys nice to meet you ^3^_^^" <---- the smiley (color is back to default) is there but there are additional characters as well.
I went into options, delete the old f1 bind and replaced a new one with the p10 color changer, and the problem is still there.
one thing though, if you directly presses the f1 key without any other characters/sentences included, the smiley would displayed normally.
the problem only rises when you have other characters/sentences in the talk box.

like what GTR Racer and 96 GTS had said, do not try and drift a fwd vehicle, it's pointless.
the rwds are there, if you're really interested in drifting, then learn your basics in a rwd, not a fwd.
and bear in mind, EVERY tip that's given in this thread applies to rwd, best to stay away from fwd if you're really into drifting.
