Hi there, to be honest, I don't know for sure if there's any internet cafes that has a steering wheel intact with their PCs here, at least I still haven't seen one.

again, there's not much Malaysian LFS racers, but we're trying to get as much people to get in the game as we could, the numbers are increasing, but they're mostly hang out in demo servers.

Good news is, one of my friend works for a company in which they will organise a LAN party at the end of this year, which of course, there'll be a special section for pure LFS players only, which is very cool, but there's not much information about it yet as it's still months away.

I remember seeing some demo of Enthusia Racing (PS2 racing game), where the developers seemed to be using some sort of "customized" wheel where it also turns a lot of degrees, and the wheel itself also looks a lot like a real life steering wheel, which is way bigger compared to our gaming steering wheels, I never really knew what wheel was that, but it was hella cool.

I'd also like to have a wheel that has the same size as the real ones. and of course, 900 degrees

I use cockpit view with wheel and hands, I just got so used to it to the extend that if I took the wheel and hands off, I wouldn't be driving the same as I normally do.
The main reason I have it on is because it kinda "helped" me in understanding how smooth my steering is and how much am I turning in game, or sometimes, it also helps to detect the so called wheel lag thing (my old wingman does that a lot).

a bit of off topic here: I also think that LFS should have the option of making/sharing skin suits, we already have helmets for that, why not racing suits? It'll sure be cool though.

I've seen one or two these days, I got curious so I went into the server to have a look or two... and to my surprise, they're doing wheelies on GTRs, and 2 wheel driving on XF or UFs... funny stuff, especially the FZR wheelie lol

hahaha, I usually leave the game name to the very last moment, cause if my friend would ask so much about it, it must means he's interested as well, and that'd be fine to talk about it. For normal people, I'd just do what I'd do above, they'll stop asking halfway anyways.

I would suggest looking for the right server at the right time, there's good racers around at some specific times/servers.

I don't race very often, but when I wanted to, I know where to look at, I usually "surf" around servers checking out the drivers, and when I feel that I'm comfortable with most of the drivers in that particular server (especially the ones with tags from popular teams), I'll join in for the race and have a lot of fun while learnt a lot from the pros.

I'm on drift servers a lot, wreckers, crashers or whatever, I've seen most of it and it's something pretty common to me, but I still enjoy the game a lot, from my experience, LFS still has a lot of great drivers, and when you get to meet up with them in one server, it's really worth it and the experience is very good.

There will always be wreckers or noobies in any online game IMO, and LFS is no exception, you just need to be well prepared to encounter these "incidents", and you'd be fine, at least I do.

Keep trying, LFS is fun.

for a sim racing game, the best controller would definitely be a wheel of course.

I'm using a Logitech Wingman FF GP though, it's not as good as the MOMO but it gets the job done.

the best choice would be the Driving Force Pro indeed.

anyone wants to get busy, how about counting the amount of public builds since 0.04 ? all patches etc.
then get that number and check the amount of times people like kunos or isi games or simbin or westracing or iracing post about their games.
youll see that even just with actions and no words lfs crushes everything else as far as progress showing...
besides, scawen, as aim already set the goals for S2 so its not like he would say anything really new. its work thats left ahead not creative writing.
Although, just like u , i'de like a oneliner here and there, just saying "physics are progressing nicely" and "please excuse the mirrored texture" and maybe dreaming, who knows, one or two max renders from eric, with the caption "digital image taken from live for speed".

that was a pretty nice review, the reviewer almost sounded like he's in lost of words at times during the video, maybe musics would help? hmmm... btw you can even hear the sounds notes/papers shuffling in his hands though

Nice editing, one thing I don't like is that the beginning of the movie tends to be "dragging" too long, at one point I thought my speakers aren't working.

Anyways, the style is unique and refreshing, I'd give it a 4/5.

Thanks for the info, always wanted to know that, here in Malaysia, we tend to lag at a lot of the servers from many different regions or countries.

I'm using 1mbps adsl broadband btw, still tend to lags at most servers.
