the discussion about mods is very difficult, but i think i have a solution how i could work.
the first thing needed is following: the devs should release track and car editors. but not permanently, because then we will have the rfactor syndrome of a 30gig installation.
i am thinking of a fixed circle: 1 track per year and 2 cars per year made by community. why so less most will think now.... question is answered above with the rfactor syndrome.
let me do an example:
scawen activates the track and car editors tomorrow and they are activated until 1st march. all the tracks and cars made will be nominated to get in the game. all drivers will now have the chance to vote which car/track will be released. thats it. andon 1st july the cycle starts again but this time only cars.
the main rule btw should be like this: track and car must be individual and nothing from reallife.
i think my suggestion is good to make more content, but in a way that the game grows permanently and controllable. games like rfactor and gtr2/evo are out of control and mostly you have to download a 200mb mod to join a server.
nothing against you scawen, victor and eric, but LFS is stagnating in this time even if the scirocco will be realeased. all other simulations are growing very fast and if we dont get more content i see that not far in the future lfs will loose much drivers to the other sims.
- i am 90% sure that someone has sent you a keylogger...
- mostly they are in rootkits and only one thing can kill them: changing hard drive or killdisk...
- another thing is: invest some money in a good antivirus program with rootkit protection (Avira Antivir i.e.).
- always scan your harddrive for malware (dont use windows defender for scanning... "Spybot Search and Destroy" or "Ad Aware" are good programs).
- dont use filesharing, most viruses and rootkits are delivered by them (torrent is safe if you dont download illegal things)
- free p*rn and warez sites have a guarantee to get viruses, worms, trojans, rootkits.... if you use them (i dont know), stop it!
killdisk: this kills all data on your hard drive...restless ...format c: is not enough and most data is reconstructable http://www.killdisk.com/downloadfree.htm
small tip: use an old ms dos 5 or 6 bootdisk, dont use the windows version
after killdisk you should reboot your computer a few times to make sure that nothing is in your physical memory
reinstall windows and the first thing is: antivirus! and after that all available windows updates INCLUDING windows defender! its live scanning secures your system files
hi, i checked out the abs and its a good idea BUT:
the reaction of ABS in relation to reallife is too good, maybe you can make it a bit slower?
and this is the next thing i want to ask:
can you make a server command to restrict electronic helps like ABS and TC?
tante edith: checked this graphical problems some have here with my older gfx xards, had no problems with geforce 6,7,8 and 9 series with standard driver settings
i have a plan to start an association of teams to make following things for new and existing leagues.
- a standard sporting codex for racers
i know there is a sporting codex in all your minds, but it never has been written down.
- partial standard regulations for leagues (interesting for new leagues)
i am thinking about a bunch of standard regulations which can be used to build your own regulations as easy as playing with lego blocks, so everyone has a chance to make a reliable rule book by themselves.
the procedure should be like this: choosing qualy mode, choosing race mode with pitstop regulation, car classes -> rule book ready for use!
maybe as a small honoration that they use this system, they can get a league certification.
- standard restrictor based classes (like babyUFR and GT2)
this is a thing i hate especially the gt2 class is different in all leagues.... ctra has another system as moe, moe has another one as gtcc.... for all leagues you have to build another setup and so on. my dream is that i dont have to make 3 sets for one car
- maybe you have suggestions?
its just an idea for now, so suggestions are welcome
-buy S2,
-go to an online shop and buy a wheel of your choice (for beginners i recommend the formula force ex, its cheap and FFB is good)
-make sure you really have bought s2
-eat something
-look at your order status for your new wheel
-activate your s2 account
-wait some days and have a surprise how good the feeling is with a wheel in combination with s2
its just joking, but i can recommend following wheels:
-logitech formula force ex (cheap wheel with good ffb) about 40 €
-logitech dfp (good wheel, many buttons, excellent ffb) about 90€
-g25 (the heaven of racing!!!!) about 230 €
-911 (good wheel with good ffb) dont know the price, but i have heard only good things about
