I voted S2, eassssy. Get a logitech dual analog gamepead for pocket change and have heaps of fun in S2 No wheel doesn't stop you playing all the cool combos with the cool kids - S1 does though!
red bull logo & bull need to be red, and use a white stroke around them (in photoshop, right click a layer and choose blending options). Take care with the blue/yellow joins... it looks messy on the skirting, the colours should meet there.
Hood should be blue but you probably know that
thanks... Like i've said in this thread, I'm not a fan of it either. That's why I've avoided re-painting the nose to match an audi, and I've made compromises to fit the shape of the FXR when needed. I do, however, want to replicate the livery as close as possible. I can't do that without the large audi graphics... but it's not so bad... some forms of motorsport do this where the car is barely recognisable from it's original anyway, like nascar/stock cars for example.
Another skin of this same car was done with the whole audi kit painted on (and it's done quite well, linked in first post), but I tried to keep it FXR. For example, there was no need for me to add exhaust plating on the sides as per the audi as the FXR already has some. It also only has an exhaust on one side...
Anyways... I've got one person saying add the audi badge, and another saying remove all audi references... I tried the badges and it looks hell ugly on the front, but it works well on the back. So should I release with the rear badge or none at all (the audi decals are staying)?
All done, pending any changes from suggestions. Please take a look and let me know if anything could be done better, or anything added. Also note that I've decided against making this an audi look-alike skin, so no grill or taillights etc painted on. Edit: just noticed I've nudged a bit of the grey paint on the front right by accident, already fixed.
edit... I was trying to report a bug, why do you dismiss it so easily? I'll test it again later, but I'm not imagining things when I say I had to download the same skin from the previous night's testing, and vice versa for my friend.
I just had a race with a friend of mine in w21 for the second night in a row, and we both had to download the same skins again. Considering I've paid for 6000 skins, am I going to get ripped off here by redownloading them over and over?
also, the shift+p pits thing is a little frustrating but I suppose we'll get used to it. I don't care if it's not as easy to hit - since when should teleporting to the pits be such a reflex command anyway? My main issue now though, is that you can't hit the enter key to exit the pits now - Please give the OK button focus when in pits so the enter key will select it. It's very annoying to have to use the mouse just to hit one button!
This is probably planned, but it's a bit of a scare... when a skin is downloading EVERY texture on a car is white, including interior & wheels. See attached.
thanks for the help but, like I said, they don't have the same logo. I'll have to recreate the 'racing' part myself. It's not a problem at all, but it was worth asking around whilst I worked on other parts...
I've decided against replicating the grill and badges... though it's been done well elsewhere, I'm not a big fan of 'paint on' parts. It'll just have to keep its FXR front
I've done this before but I can't recall exactly how I do it... try the following:
if ded server is on your machine, connect to "127.0.0.1" (or "localhost" will work too I think), no quotes.
OR connect to the local ip of the server not external (eg 192.168.?.?)*
* to find out the ip in windows (of the server computer) go to start->run and type cmd
then in the dos window type ipconfig and it should tell you what your local ip is.
