1. I can't understand what 3g_ct_first First person controller means. ???

2. Also it has been strange for me to see a translation string 3g_car_tn_x (Car's steering wheel turns %.0f° (lock to lock)) while there is already 3g_whe_turn (Wheel turn %.0f° :).

3. What does 3g_set_sh_x (Settings for %s) mean?

4. There are settings for the external view (top and trackside camera), for the in-head and the in-car view, but for the chasecam it's not written that it is external view. Fix?

We use windshield sprayers with blue LEDs. They are small and cheap, but each one increases power by 5%.

A typical tough guy, what strange do you see in the video? Zidane is not a saint either (even if he is not that agressive) through his career must have made such things too, that there are enough materials for a video like this.

U14. Open Kyoto Ring Long, bright clear in single player mode. Start a training session, then end race and exit from LFS. Then start LFS again. The weather will change to cloudy.

OMG, I'm shocked. How nice it began yet in 2001... Why on the Earth NASCAR? 30 is a nice age to start sportscars racing, there is plenty of opportunities: FIA GT, LMS, DTM or at least WTCC. There is ChampCar (or IRL at the worst), but why that terrible NASCAR...

Forza squadra italiana!

My fellow Italians watched the match in a caffe, here it started at 2:00 at night, and they celebrated it till 6 in the morning.

Oh, Montoya is a good target for bashing. I see, many watch racing like TV series, discuss the relationships, credit all the results to the drivers' characters. There must be a bad guy. Since most of you admit you considered him "an idiot" long ago, you must have been watching very selectively: like if Kimi's and Ralf's cars broke down on their own, but Montoya broke all the cars himself, and so on.

Ehm, I had "into" set to "skip", and now every time I want to go for single player, I have to select the track, place AIs. That's inconvenient for thoe who prefer signle player mode.

What an idiot translated the poll into Russian? illepall There are damn stupid orthographic mistakes, but at the same time it definitely was translated with a software. I'd better answer the english version.

Scawen, is it possible to add to OutGauge the speed of wheels? It would be more realistic to measure speed as in the real cars.

jtw62074 I've re-read the text and it seems that you are right. I've read that too quickly at first.

Funnybear there are aerocars already in X There was a contest of small 2-seat planes.

I'm more optimistic. X has more stuff related to cars than LFS has that of planes.

jtw62074 it will be in 8.50. At least driven wheels. Other features will come later or already may be simulated with plugins.

Micha MSFS (FS9) is more popular, though X-Plane has many interesting features. Flight model is very detailed and can be very realistic. In FS9 it is very rough. If you like constructing planes, choose X for sure.
X-Plane will simulate automobiles

An interesting news from Austin: finally in X-Plane the engine power can drive not only propellers, but wheels as well.

http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=20355

X-Plane already simulates many systems and features of automobiles: oil temperature and level, radiators, braking power, custom suspension static and dynamic stiffness. Soon it will be possible to draw more precise pavement on the ground, so racing tracks will look smooth. A very strong point is aerodynamics. If you make an open-wheeller, it will be able to fly in the air if you rise the nose too high. As for the ground relief, it is possible to make it more precise than SRTM network and thus convert LFS SMX-es into X. It lacks many features of autosims, but has it's own cool things like variable incidence that can be controlled from the cockpit.

I've woken up at 9:00 and it was on TV, the channel showed it all the night. So pity 1 Convers and 1 RAR cars are out. Now they've interrupted LeMans with Renault Series races.

Quote from P5YcHoM4N :I don't see why people don't like joking about them selves. I'm English, I'm proud of that, I also love the English stereotype, which is why I'm getting myself a nice suit with a bowl hat, so I can walk around saying "Jolly good old chap, rather" and other such English things. Then goto Canada dressed like it (visiting a friend there), just to see what reaction I get

Rather good game old sport, tea and crumpets anyone?

I'd add Terry-Thomas-style moustache. Ok, what would you suggest for me to put on?

Quake3 or maybe I'd have tried MSFS earlier, then, probably, would not have tried X-Plane.

BTW, has anybody else tried the latter?
