jtw62074 it will be in 8.50. At least driven wheels. Other features will come later or already may be simulated with plugins.
Micha MSFS (FS9) is more popular, though X-Plane has many interesting features. Flight model is very detailed and can be very realistic. In FS9 it is very rough. If you like constructing planes, choose X for sure.
X-Plane already simulates many systems and features of automobiles: oil temperature and level, radiators, braking power, custom suspension static and dynamic stiffness. Soon it will be possible to draw more precise pavement on the ground, so racing tracks will look smooth. A very strong point is aerodynamics. If you make an open-wheeller, it will be able to fly in the air if you rise the nose too high. As for the ground relief, it is possible to make it more precise than SRTM network and thus convert LFS SMX-es into X. It lacks many features of autosims, but has it's own cool things like variable incidence that can be controlled from the cockpit.
I've woken up at 9:00 and it was on TV, the channel showed it all the night. So pity 1 Convers and 1 RAR cars are out. Now they've interrupted LeMans with Renault Series races.
3 days of World Cup, normal flight (haven't encountered it a lot, so it didn't bother me ). Watched historic review of Formula 1 of 1977 right at the time when there was British Gp. What a year, what races! Enjoyed the comments of Andrei Larinin, the editor of Russian F1 Racing journal, a well-informed person. Watching those races of the past, I seem to prove and assure myself in the idea that the real racing was that time, not now. In general, the objects of the 1970-s culture (that I can see now) seem more futuristic than nowadays. Futurism was fashionable then.
Ok. At first, I thought that the program made the relief based on the shadows (lighter pixel = inclide towards the light, darker = from the light). I did images similar to this in Terragen.
Unfortunately not. I don't know, maybe somewhere it can be received. It is 7TV, a sports channel in Russia.
They are in quite a strange situation.
Before the early 2004 they were quite ambitious, trying to become a popular sports channel, showed many things that aren't shown at public TV in the West. But still they've failed to reach the make-out, and in the begining of 2004 they dropped many programs, had to fill the time repeating older programs (all the 2004 we could watch the same Dakar 2004. ...Daily!). While before, in 2003 they cut out only the main DTM race, in 2004 they started showing everything, including repairs between the races. Now they are doing a bit better, they've gone more into racing. One weekend there were 10 different events LIVE!!!: GP masters, Renault 2.0, Renault WS, WTCC, 5 events of DTM weekend, RTCC. It lasted since 12:00 till 22:00. Last week I've missed Indy 500 In the evenings they show ChampCar reviews, US Superbike races, "RallyAction" (digest of European rally and RX racing), historic F1 reviews.
And, as far as their site is concerned, they dropped it too. http://www.7tv.ru (news digest and the tv schedule)
A public TV channel that I receive, will surely show LeMans 24h, WTCC (edit: no, not WTCC), Renault World Series and much other nice racing, live, free of charge. ...they show ALL the DTM weekend, almost everything of it.
Maiden! Maiden! Maiden! "Ariya", some heavy and power metal, some ukrainian and italian rock. Sometimes jazz (like Mingus, Coltrane, Gillespie, Brubeck), bossa nova.
I'm reading about the use of DS3D. The articles that I read say that it can apply doppler effect on sounds.
I've never noticed LFS to apply this effect to wav sounds. They are played "as is", but some of them lack doppler (horn).
Does LFS use DS3D? Is it possible to add this effect? Has someone tried to use particulary this effect, and how much CPU does it consume? (any useful material to read?)
LFS needs slower and heavier cars. Enough chase for high speed. A racing truck, something for rally-raid, Fiat Abarth would be nice too. And a wld with several rally specials.
By the way, there is an interesting rally class, I didn't notice it before: RB4 and FZ5. Their times are very close. Needless to explain their differences.
Darkone55, have you applied any filters to the clips?
My Adobe Premiere version allows only 30 fps, so to operate with high-fps movies, I just change framerate in VirtualDub to any needed speed and then after Premiere renders a movie, I open it again in VD, change FPS and compress the movie.
OMG, I hated our national team all the time, I hate TV's gone crazy of the WFC. Any piece of ***t now has WFC logo, it shouts in the streets, in the taxi driver's radio, from banners. It fills the media... Preparing to withstand the information siege...
It has happened to me sometimes to encounter a group of noobs who blamed and banned me for their troubles. So many would be against a black mark just for a single ban. I think, the database should have a value like frequency of bans per kms done (and per other racers) to calculate an "annoying rate" and allow host owner set a cutoff level.
Having learned games theory (that's pure maths ) and works like "Theory of Collective Reputations", I think the best way would be just a reputations database, which would contain just evaluations of each person by others. Not democratic, right, but very useful: you may just look at a aggregated juditions of others. Unfortunately, the amount of players is quite big to prevent manipulations (in reality, in the times when recomendations weren't always laudatory, the practice was that giving a good recommendation for an unreliable person was recorded too, so everybody cared about whom they recommended).
We, those who use internet frequently or have other opportunities to practice English, really may use it daily. The guys who work with real racing cars do not have them, and stick to national language. I've been happy to hear that my translation opened LFS to some guys in our national racing championships. Imagine that instead they'd had only the translated NFS/GTA/other junk.
In 3d... N has 3 2nd orbitals, two connect each other, don't remember at what angle, and O has 2 at 90° that bend those of N-s. No idea about the chemical properties. Does it free O or oxidizes?
