The delay before the red light comes on increases as the number of cars on the grid increases. If I'm not mistaken this system is intended to minimize the risk of accidents when a race is starting. Especially when starting from the lobby.

As a matter of fact this is partly why lag laps were invented. The delay between leaving the lobby and green lights was minimal back in the day.

Imho, lag laps are no longer needed.

Heh, that sounds complicated. As pointed out above, Scawen has already commented on this:

That's the kombat teams way of doing things! ie, either you're ready or you're not. No need to have everyone hit shift-r at exactly the same time. If enough people are flagged 'ready', just go.

Posted this in the Bug testing thread earlier on but realized it belongs here:

Joined the server early on and was on the grid when the race started. Did a few laps until I ran out of fuel. Pitted, changed car to LX6 and had barely left the pits before I was booted off the server for no appearent reason.

Things seemed to be running just fine until then.

Edit: Now it has happened several times. When I try to reconnect I Sometimes get "did not recieve track info".
Edit: I thought I was able to connect but suddenly LFS crashed: Crash Address: 52b413

I was able to join the 32players online server but somehow my client of LFS seemed to load the wrong track. When I left the pits I spawned in the middle of nowhere. After driving around for a while i hit shift-S to spectate. The text "spectate" showed up on screen but I didnt become a spectator. Instead I ended up in a state where I could drive my car, but no nothing else. No Keyboard commands were working. As I am typing this I'm still not able to even type a message in LFS. I can still see other messages and the activity on the server.

I switched to windowed mode and hit X to close LFS. The text that said "spectator" was replaced by "Exiting" (or whatever it says) but LFS did not shut down.

I will now kill the LFS process.

I just encountered the old "did not recieve guest info"-bug which means no one was able to join the server. I was not at the server at the time but I'll attach the log and the last recorded mpr before the server went bananas.

The server was still running patch w34.

With some changes/additions to the original (english) keys.pdf

For example:

O - anti-spin
I - Ignition
C - Clutch
CTRL enables more options in chat input field
ESCAPE - cancel, go back
SHIFT-O - Options
SHIFT-A - Sound Engine Editor
CTRL-S - Screenshot
shift+- - Block ALL messages
ALT-F4 - Quit
SHIFT-J - Join session
5/6 - FOV

Alt F1-F5 seems to be outdated - removed

That's all I could fit!

I get "List index out of bounds (2)" when the application tries to update/refresh/retrieve my replays.

I've also got a improvement suggestion:

If a particular replay is recorded with for example 0.5U10, look for LFS_U10.exe and use that rather than LFS.exe
And oh, 'date' column would not hurt.

Do you mean into the dedicated server window or logged in at the server as a host? I can not try typing messages or commands directly into the dedi because my servers are /dedicated=invisible (linux). I've obviously tried reproducing the bug logged in as an admin but it seemed to be working fine. The servers have been online since W34 was released and there has been some activity throughout the evening ...

Please do not remove the ability to save 'some' replays manually (autosave=1). I do not have enough free space to save everything but i'd still like to be able to save 'some' replays without having to remember to turn the autosaving on (and off).

I don't think having 3 options for the remote saving of mprs is more confusing than for example the /start= setting.
