If you are suffering from too much oversteer try and minimise the amount of steering lock you use. Only turn the wheel as much as you need to get the car to turn. No more.
Also, unwind the lock as you begin to apply the throttle.
You can reduce the oversteer the set gives you by doing any of the following things:
Reduce the diff power lock
Increase the diff coast lock
Increase the front rollbar
Increase front bump damping
Increase front spring rate
Reduce rear rollbar
Reduce rear bump damping
reduce rear spring rate
Increase rear toe in
More rear downforce
Less front downforce
Only 1 or 2 clicks on each thing. If you can't feel the difference from one change then you need an adjustment elsewhere.
Make sure you don't overheat the rear tyres. Once you are suffering from oversteer the rears get hotter and you end up in a vicious circle.
Trail braking is keeping a small amount of brake applied between the moment you turn in and the point at which you reach the apex. It just helps you to get the nose of the car to the apex. However, you need the right amount of rear brake for it to be effective.
You may find yourself doing it automatically if you brake a little too late for a corner and need to knock off extra speed.
In my experience what separates the complete aliens from the rest of us their ability to brake late and be fast during the corner entry phase while still getting on the power early and carrying speed throughout the corner. Trail braking is part of this.
FO8 is the next logical step. Maybe try a big open track in it. Aston Historic is totally cool in the FO8. Stay away from Kyoto GP in it unless you want a real challenge.
OK it looks like Westhill Reverse is just edging it as favourite. It is a very cool circuit to prepare for because the setup needed is so completely different to when you drive it the normal way around. In reverse you need significantly less downforce.
Working out the date now and then I will create an entry list in the first post in this thread.
Fancy a bit of practice myself today so I will look out for you guys.
As for tracks. I'm tempted to go 'Full Circle' and go for some Fern Bay Club mayhem. Or maybe Westhill as that circuit always makes for tight racing. Maybe in the reverse config this time which requires completely different setup compared to going around there clockwise.
I am going to set up a one of GFC event on one Sunday night in the next couple of months.
Post in this thread to enter.

I nearly forgot. If you have too much front brake the setup will be unresponsive to those changes. Run as much rear brake as you can cope with. That will keep the front tyre temps down and help turn in.
soften the front bar and bump. Increase rear bump and rear bar. That should give you nice oversteer at entry. Reduce diff coast locking too maybe. Although it's difficult to really know without seeing where your setup is currently at.
Good point about the torrents but I like to think there is something special about watching amateur video footage. You just seem to get more of a feel of being there.
Also, I will be putting stuff up on that site that is way too grass roots for any kind of professional coverage. So it will be the only place on the web you will find a lot of it.
btw - the F3 footage isn't great. Just got what we could as we were leaving the circuit. Best footage up there so far is the VWs and the Ginettas I'd say.
The details of this event are beginning to take shape. Over the next couple of weeks I will put together a page on gentlefoot.com with all the details and a calendar.
There may even be two competitions now with a kit as the prize for each
