I think the answer is that there is only one NET Force. That is true. However there are many different forces acting in different directions to cause that single net force on any given object. So both sides are correct in this case
Who would have guessed? However, I think giannhsgr1 is more correct. net force can only act in one direction, otherwise the object doesn't move or it breaks.
Fans who hate the developers choice to develope slowly/not expand, deny being LFS fanboys, and call other people LFS fanboys as an insult to divert fanboydom away from them selves. (especially those who have opposite opinions to create the diversion of not bing a fanboy)
This is all my opinion, none of my post is based on any real information

Extreme apathy can be qualified as a measure of intelligence. When people express their apathy of a topic as and excuse to dodge a challenging proposal or question for the sake of not wanting to think about it reveals a lacking in certain areas of comprehension or restraint. For an example: Person A "covers their ears" when a logical argument is being made against them by person B. Denying the logic when person A can comprehend or knows that it is true can be categorized as stupid.
(My example is just that, an example. It is not being directed toward anybody partaking in the discussion.)
In the example Person A has the ability to comprehend but chooses not to exercise the ability. The reason for Person A choosing to not listen does not matter. Person A choosing to not listen does matter. When a person chooses not to comprehend it is called ignorance which has two meanings:
The literal meaning-
the state or fact of being ignorant; lack of knowledge, learning, information, etc.
The cultural meaning(insult)-
choosing to disregard information of particular subject or fact.
Being ignorant is not stupid. Choosing to be ignorant is stupid. In cases of being presented a topic that one is not informed on, has too little knowledge on the topic to discuss on is uninterested, admitting to these lackings is the proper message to convey.
I think the subject in question is lowered standards will only give rise to even lower standards. In this case standards of common sense. The moment expectations of common sense are lowered, low standards of commons sense become acceptable. People rise to their expectations, and those who don't meet their expectations are called failures.
IMO the availability of internet and mass media in recent years has developed a larger awareness toward the level of intelligence of society on a world scale. The level of common sense has not necessarily decreased in the past twenty years; however I am not saying it shouldn't be higher.
"without loss of consciousness" does not mean "without loss of vision." Also that sounds like constant force. Where as on a bumpy racetrack getting 6g spikes is like every cell in your body receiving a "knockout punch" from a boxer.
I agree with you col. Generally I don't like the the complaining that some of the community openly express. However, there is a counter point that is also valid.
Many people have offered to help for free. That debunks the vicious cycle theory.
But there is also an easy counter to that which is, LFS would no longer be just their(the DEV's) project. Other people would have creative rights to LFS, even if they gave it up for free.
But anyway, something I have on my list to do when the patch/upgrade/stage is released is try my currents setups with the new physics. It will be interesting to see the change in setups to use maximum grip, or to take advantage of some kind of exploit that may still exist.
LFS works like an old 1920's manual starter. You have to get the USB crank adapter for your PC. Put the crank in then try to rotate it as fast as you can to turn the motor over. Make sure you have the car in neutral or else you wont be able to turn the engine over.
That is not how evolution works. There would have to be some sort of mutation in some groups of humans that allow them to withstand high G forces. Then through "natural selection" those who didn't die from the G forces would survive to produce offspring. This all means personal conditioning does not contribute to evolution according to the scientific model of evolution.
My used shifter kart (engine+chassis) was $3000. Personally, I would not pay any more than that. A used kart is NOT in good condition no matter what the seller says. For starting out, I would not buy a new chassis or engine. Everything is outdated every season, so forking out $10,000 starting out is not advised. Gear can total (cheapest) about $610. Cheap motorcycle gloves: ~$20, wrestling shoes ~$60, cheap suit ~$330, Helmet ~$200 (no nomex required, it is expensive stuff). Kart stand recommended ~$??? depends on how much you are willing to spend.
Total ~$3610± (keep track of all expenses)
<----------- that is a picture of my budget setup on one of my first few practices
Note: Don't go cheap on the helmet!!! Must be snell approved!! When choosing a chassis, pick one that is common for your local club. It will be easier to get help from other kart racers. Do not buy separate engine and chassis unless you know what you are buying! Stick withing 3 years of the current year when buying a chassis or engine.
Recurring costs will have to be calculated every session. They include but are not limited to:
fuel & premix oil (2-stroke), tires, spare cables (gas, brake, etc.), spare spark plugs, engine rebuilds ("recommended" every 20 hours of kart use. LOG YOUR HOURS!), lengths of chain, sprockets, axles, wheel hubs, etc., and anything else I have missed.
Advice for tires: At your local kart shop they will be disposing of their used Quali/race tires, they are still in good condition. Ask if you can dig them out of the trash. Free tires saves loads of money!!!

More to the point, if that is the case, civilization will be extinct by the time the patch arrives. Complaints about the preservation of civilization should take precedents over LFS; however, you're still complaining about the patch. Therefore, in your case, the LFS patch takes more priority than the end of civilization on this planet because they'll both happen by the time the internet becomes extinct.
You know your an LFS fanatic when you are playing a different racing game to break from LFS and you start thinking, Why doesn't this feel as good as LFS?"
From the start we know we have a surplus of servers (represented as (X3,Y2) in the graph). As stated in earlier posts, server surplus is problematic because the already relatively small community of LFS is scattered throughout the surplus. The effect of the surplus is dissatisfaction in the racing community because the number of densely populated servers is limited.
There are two solutions to this problem. (1) Increase the population of the LFS community at every time zone. (2) Decrease the number of servers by imposing a "server ceiling". Obviously, we all would like the first solution; however that is not feasible at the current time. So we are left with decreasing the number of servers with a server ceiling.
If the number of servers are limited too much there will be a shortage of server space. Too little servers will cause dissatisfaction to the racers who are unable to join any server at any given time (X4,Y3 : X3,Y3). By manipulating the maximum P:S ratio to equal one, we will find the equilibrium of racers per server space (X1,Y1).
However, by achieving the P:S equilibrium, all LFS racers will not be satisfied. Judging by the fact that about one third of the LFS servers are populated by one to 3 people (at that time), some people want to race alone or race combos that are not populated. This would mean that those combos are not favorable to the majority of LFS racers.
In respect to all LFS racers' wants, limiting the number of servers would not be a favorable solution.
So the lesson learned, by applying economics to the LFS community, is more simply put by Hazaky,
People play where they want to play.... U cant really complain about that in my opinion ...
