The Events Database by Spdo (http://www.spdoracing.com) does fairly much everything you are looking for.

I dont think that a central LFS World Database would work so well, as with the number of lfs events ever growing, it would be being constantly updated, not a problem in itself, but leagues grow inactive.

Also, not everyone will want to display thier league information in the same way. Personally, I dont like things all in the one place, id rather things had space to develop and grow, I dont think its too much trouble to have to register at a forum.. it takes like 10 minutes max (if there is a confirmation link to click). It also spreads interest around the outer community.

I do think however, that you shouldnt have to register somewhere just to read information about leagues or events. That should just be free-to-read and open to all, as long as its a public event.

Try the events database, im not sure exactly how much it is used by the community, but from what ive seen of it, its very clear in providing information, files and I think reminders.

Happy you got that off your chest, we can all rest easy tonight. The original thread is there for all to see and make up their own minds about what you said and about you. The one thing you cannot control is what others think of you.

I said nothing myself about your team, or your choice of racing venue. But you was completly sure that what was done was done for unjust purposes.

You can say yeh, well all I do is suck ass.. and perhaps I do, but in this case, when the actual result of something I did was what you was moaning about, accusing Franky500 of actions which he neither cause or committed.

I always will in Franky's case. He has done so much for this community, and if you know him at all you will know he would never "abuse" his "power", he deserves some paying back.

Do you really think that anyone here cares why you dont come here or post often? Incase you were wondering, the answer is probably no. Basically, if you cant take it, I advise you dont bring it.

Is there any chance you actually read what was posted before replying?

As for "dont want to be spammed by 500servers when I use the multiplayer function".. there are a lot of things I dont one, but life doesnt work that way.

Again, it was NOT to advertise anything. And no abuse is present whatsoever.

There are more servers than there are people online regardless of this. How exactly is it making a mockery or spoiling lfs please?

The naming of the servers "500servers" was not actually a mistake, but an attempt by myself alone to try and get our clients servers back up and actually running as quick as possible.

I dont belive any harm was done, whatsoever.. I also see no rules against it.

Quote :Im only looking @ the big and settled teams so small teams dont bother to reply im not interested. I want to drive in the big league's again because that is were my interest lies.

Always the best way to start "Looking for "a" team".. Firstly, a team doesnt need to be big to be settled. Secondly, your post makes you sound like you are looking for a team that needs or wants you, which is all very nice and such. Except you are the one who is asking or looking for a team.

Good Luck, im sure there are a few teams which are a perfect match for your wants.

Its not just AS1, and its been since Y when the AI were reworked. AI's occasionally fight over pit boxes, will get mixed up and then exit the pitlane. Shortly afterwards they will stop as they "fall out" of the physics engine to reduce the cpu load, thus increasing frame rate for others.

Its known, im sure, and also (without reading 8 previous pages) not within the current Ywhatever focus)?

Its been tried and suggested before, and personally, I always supported the idea of a "school", but quite simply when it comes to actually putting things together, all the support usually goes out of the window.

Teams have their own reasons for running thier own sessions and "tests" etc, and good luck to them. As for a community effort.. Best of luck, but it simply wont materialise.

Hey Avetere,

Great stuff, you did it . One Suggestion if I may, adding some scrollbar's may help those who dont have larger screens, or.. those who have widescreen monitors

I find no bugs tho, excellent again

Quote from Stefani24 :1, dont bump such an old thread
2, the green arrow doesnt make it possible that more ppl start at the same time.

1. Dont tell others what to do. Offer advice but dont tell them, its not your place.

2. You are actually wrong. If the default starting position is used regardless of the layout, more than 1 person can take the start. A good designer will take this into consideration when designing their layout and ensure drivers are directed from the start to the track, if such is needed or intended.

Quote from Stang70Fastback :We're not all complete @$$holes here who claim something is impossible just because it is slightly faster. Though I have not personally raced with that combo, I'm fairly certain that if people say it's impossible, than it most likely ISN'T with that car/track combo!

Well done matie boy, thats your free one right there.

I did not say anything about ****s. Nor that anyone is (or isnt)* one. I asked a simply question, as id not check anything out.

Regardless.

* With a responce like that, jumping down from that horse of yours, there are exceptions. Perhaps you are one.

Why is this time impossible to get? Is it physically impossible? or is it just faster that anyone else has been?

Quote from Gekkibi :However, I found a bug: If pit is closed and you shift+p, then you will get penalty when you exit the pits. However, doesn't matter, because I'm going to put midrace=no.

Doesnt make much sense to me.. I would expect it to work in that way.. If the pits are closed, then exiting them should IMO result in a penalty.

Something that could add a little more security than trusting the other players to drive with the same setup would be useful.

Great that it seems possible

Not sure how to make them from scratch, but a quick work-around would be to start up your server, then login to LFS World and go to the Racers & Hosts online page, find your server name, then on the right there is an icon which is the "join" icon.. Copy the URL from there..

A request for just an answer.. [Setups]

This is a late night/morning thought, nothing set in stone or solid of any kind, just some ramblings that me and some othere were storming about a few minutes ago.. it resulted in a question..

Fixed setups.. is an option which doesn't yet exist in LFS, it may never and that is fine and dandy, there are pro's and con's for and against the idea I am sure, but a question to the programming minds out there..

Is there any way of adding some extra marker element to a setup file, which could be read by a program that would identify the setup as the same as one held somewhere else as being true and correct, as in the same and not edited in any way?

Would this corrupt a .set file? Is it even legal to think about?

Or alternativly, via OutGuage or whatever else, is it possible to detect elements of a driver's setup, to check simerlarities?

Just some thoughts and questions

Thanks.
