there are companies out there that will print the model and send it out for you, bad thing is that cars arent proper subjects, since the finish is quite rough and angular edges dont come out so well.
yeah, tweak is uncatchable, i can vouch for that, i spent days trying to outqualify him with no avail, sucks when he's in your league, no hope :P.
Seriously though, its amazing how much small differences in corner entry\exit can affect the overall lap time, specially when theres a combo of corners that have to be taken precisely or you'll loose at least 1-2 seconds right off the bat (the s's in kyoto long going up the hill for example)
No, not the physics, but the 3d modelling of the suspension, specially in open wheelers.
There's no real intricate connection, its just a suspension wishbone interpolating with the wheel support, not really mechanical. I'd like to see it completely modeled, as NKPro has, it helps with the visual imersion.
well, i felt a wicked pulse when i was trying to slow down from 200 km\h in my 93 nissan sentra, i overheated the brakes badly and warped the disc....even though i was feathering the brakes, letting them cool for a moment... i guess im faster then my old car could handle :P.
Also, you can feel the difference in pressure when the wheels block.
To maintain interest and a good following its imperative that they continue in a steady rate, getting new customers and keeping the old ones happy, part of the allure of playing lfs is knowing that what we have isnt it, theres more to come, but when nothing is done for such a long time, and not a word about anything except kitchens (pardon me while i yawn), the appeal is somewhat lost, specially if like me, you play almost every day.
I've heard from my sources that the pics are no match for seeing it in action, it looks a million times better. And yes, i saw a pic with a nissan 350z somewhere, looked gorgeous.
If the improvements made in GTL follow through to GTR2, plus rain, im all for it . I also heard the netcode is even better this time around.... sounds promising, we'll see how it shapes up .
Anyways, as mentioned, engine tuning may be too much for most people to handle (myself included, im no big engine tuner geek, i'm more of a suspension guy).
Imagine yourself driving for a team, what they want from you is good input about the suspension, not about the engine. And you as a driver, you can change the suspension, not the engine, its logic. Engine stuff is left for other ppl, not me, not the driver, if you want to tinker with the engine, get gearhead garage or something.
Very rarely will a motorsport org. let engines run free of guidelines\regulations, its the norm in real life, it keeps things interesting, shows who's got talent and who doesnt (for the most part). So just let it be.
Engine tuning does nothing to improve driving skill, hence drifters love it. With suspension tuning, you have to learn the right lines, setting up the suspension properly for the fastest time\cleanest lines, its a combo of you and the car, getting the power down is just as important too, what good is a 10000000 HP engine if you cant setup the car to deliver proper grip to use it? hence drifting became an excuse for that :P.
And the ultimate goal is to become a better driver, this is not achieved by whos the fastest in a straight line, or who has the fastest car.... if your slow MR. S1 licensed, practice your lines, learn from other people and improve your skills, then you wont be using the engine tuning as an excuse.
I dont mean to be derogatory in this post, but i may have... im just tired of tuner types around here, so... sry bout that.
i have a great idea... scawen should charge 1.00 US per set of tyres, with all the drifting going on wasting tires, he'd be rich!.... JUST LIKE REAL LIFE!
