Quote from Migz :
maybe it does on the new patch, but not when i did it

It might have been possible with S1 (never got higher than about 350 with mecanik+S1) but it's never been possible with S2. I'd love to see it done, going supersonic along the Blackwood straight must be rather interesting!

Erm. he lied!

LFS is incapable of simulating an object travelling faster than around 450 MPH, the car simply resets once you hit this limit.

I'd take it as a sure sign your demo friend hasn't ever been faster than about 400

It's probably best to take any critical comments as a compliment. you'd soon go mad if you didn't!

Most of the problems are due to incorrect memory addresses in the INI file. I've been playing for the last few hours and can't make too much progress. most of these problems could be solved with a little help from somebody who knew the correct memory values or at least a better way of finding them.

The program itself seems pretty good other than that.

Can't make this one guys, i've just lent my cockpit out!

I'll always have a soft spot for Blackwood in a GTi, especially since that's where I raced my first GP. I'm a little gutted i can't make it, but i don't suppose i'd do too well with a mouse after spending the last couple of years with a clutch+shifter combo.

Have a good race guys!

The figures seem pretty high, compared to real world figures. If you were to knock 10-20% off they would be about right. I guess LFS is more economical than real life. But i suppose you've got to do what you can to reduce your carbon footprint!

One of the true greats, and one of the nicest world champions you'll ever find. the world has lost one of it's good guys.

I dunno If this is dodgy or not, but i'm sure they shouldn't be advertising S3 yet!

Quote from amp88 :Originally I passed a guy and smiled, then I made a mistake a few corners later and he repassed me so I smiled, then again at the end of the race I smiled again and was kicked. I wouldn't really call that spamming. If I was smiling repeatedly every 2 seconds then it's spamming, but 3 smilies within a minute is hardly excessive, is it?

I've been kicked for smiling twice now and it's just not funny anymore. So what if I'm fairly comunicative, I wouldn't say It was spamming.

Cutting the time limit down to the sort of time it takes for the text to dissapear would be a start (but i suppose you could have a 30 second limit if blue flags are mentioned)

Having a bit of fun at the end of the race isn't really a problem. I can never resist a quick victory burnout and sometimes a cheeky stunt. ramming parked vehicles ain't really my thing. Although I'll sometimes indulge in a little payback paintswapping (only little nudges though)

With the LX you need a certain amount of finnese (if thats how you spell it) and an awareness of what is actually happening.

They're very sensitive to weight-transfer, making it vital to trail some braking into the turn-in. Feeding the trottle in a little to sit some weight over the back end before you plant it helps too

I know these principles apply to most cars but with the LX they're just so much more apparent. If anybody asks me what's the best car to teach some skills i'd say LX every time!

Turning on/up the G effects for camera movement can help a bit with the 'ol seat of the pants thing, though it ain't gonna beat a motion platform! (or maybe a real Se7en!)

i'll be about after 9 most nights, due to work.

is there any chance we could have the practice server set to more than 10 laps, anything less ain't really long enough to properly test a GP setup.

Quote from franky500 :UFR will have the advantage for this combo. BUT its only very slight , and if not very experienced. might aswell stay with XFR

If you like darting from barrier to barrier then pick the UFR

It's funny, down at snetterton you can distinctly hear tyres squealing. Be nice to have it. It adds more drama to the T1 pileup
