I don't really drift, but when I tried it a while back I found 900 degrees so much easier than 720...however that might just be down to personal preference and setup. Try different things, see which works best for you.
That was chaos :eye-poppi Thankfully nobody was seriously hurt, though I don't know how nasty that leg wound is. I was very worried when he disappeared under those tyres.
Well done Rio, I was hoping they would win and it's nice to go to South America for the first time rather than america again! Sad about Jacarépagua though
I've driven round Croft in a souped-up mini. It wasn't quite a single seater, nor was I racing, nor did I have many laps but I was properly pushing it and when you're 13 it feels awesome I was only 30 or so mph away from you on the straights
Not the best track ever, but I do like Croft a lot, enough to go to the BTCC every year at least Though it's my local track, it's still too far to amble up there and meet you Tristan...harrumph. I live nowhere near anywhere But at least the countryside is lovely...if you do tecide to go all touristy I'm 30 mins from Richmond...dunno why you'd want to meet me but if you're passing through Wensleydale/Coverdale you could pop in if you're feeling peckish, or lacking in tea
Nice report! Well written, though it's hard to convey the immense excitement in the race. Gives it a professional touch
You spelt my name wrong in the 3rd paragraph though. Well there are a few mistakes actually, but that's nitpicking. Make me a mod and I'll happily correct them!
I'm confused as to whether you have unlimited or £20-30k of not your money. If the latter is correct the SCM should get you a motion simutator + everything else for that budget. If you sign up to the Frex GP shop it will give you the price, but it's a lot cheaper than Force Dynamics! Hovever, it isn't as good of course...I'll let you find videos and reviews yourself, I've got homework to do
A projecter is a good idea too, a friend has one and it is briliant...pity he doesn't play driving sims or have a computer hooked up to it.
Even £30k won't get you the best one, unfortunately. zapz is pretty spot on, I'd say, but motion simulators cost loads. The Force Dynamics 401 is $52,000! The 301 is $37,500. They're supposed to be making a '201' if you wait a bit, which should cost a good deal less again. But if you add in the wheel, shipping and huge screen...it'll still be costly!
I woke up one day in a good mood, walked into a room with a radio on and left said room feeling distraught, and unbelieving. R.I.P Colin. I've never cried more, I don't know why but your death really hit something in me.
It is a fair price though, I'd say it's worth it if you look at just that wheel. But as you can get the G25 for £100, and it is a lot better...meh. And you can get DFPs cheaper if you look around some more.
But it's all good, you can sell them for £60 to mugs and buy them for £39
I'm really tempted to buy loads of these and sell them, £9 profit*10 (for example) = £90 profit!
I feel so cool...a friend's friend has a teammate who is a beta tester, who knows things about what is being worked on, though I don't know about dates.
Uh, trebor...Plato blatantly took out Turkington, Nash (his teammate) and almost caused an even worse crash, whereas Herbert (quite rightfully) created brilliant racing without taking anyone out.
