Quote from Funnybear :
Plus I had a worrying amount of yellows . . . Lol, and I thought I was such a clean racer.

There there, I'm sure it was just the BL1R bug.

Quote from BlueFlame :Well they way I see it, a closed cockpit single seater is MORE dangerous, through fire etc.

Think back to the Coulthard/Wurz accident...what would have happened had they been driving these cars? And the cover would just fail at it's mounting points in a lot of crashes.

Deko, you might want to sort out the class names - you refer to the 'GTR' class (in the general info and signup example) and the 'GT1' class, which seem to be the same.

Still can´t get it to be a "cruise" tho.

Isn't the command just
/cruise=yes

Quote from J@tko :If I type in h i get p0rn sites...

I always search for pr0n sites (rather than typing in the adress). Weird I know. Though typing "8" has interesting results. (Likewise with "porn" and "boobs" :hide

Quote from ghezzotrox :Fixed this problem.

How do I spawn like objects on the map?
And how do I login as admin?
  1. Just press shift-u and use the layout editor like normal. You can upload layouts with /autox X ("X"being the name of the layout)
  2. Just type the admin password into the "Host Password" box in the join host screen.
EDIT: Oh, whoops. What did you change?

Quote from J@tko :I use it so often I just have to type "m" into Firefox and the Hosting bit is top of the pages listed

Lucky you, I have to type in "h" for it to appear, that's a whole keyboard row above! I'm sure it'll appear under "m" in due course though

NDR may well be bringing you more news shortly

Ooh!

Now how do you you get on the NDR team? I know most of you well, I love dinner and have certainly had my fair share of epic fails

Oops, shouldn't say that with Dan above me!

Quote from tristancliffe :I like the wet. I go well relative to my rivals, and I'm not scared of sliding the car or locking wheels too much. That 'confidence' (or over confidence ) seems to be worth a couple of seconds per lap!! I don't know what other drivers are like, but I find that I have spare mental capacity, even in horrible conditions with my eyes on stalks, to think about lines, laptimes, gaps, positions, handling. From conversations with other drivers, some of them have to concentrate 100% on not crashing. I'm not saying I'm 'special', but maybe I'm more suited to the wet than some.

I'm only at karting level, but I find that too. In the races I'm in now, if it's wet, before the race I'm thinking 'I know I will win'. Well obviously it's not 100% that I will, but it's extremely likely (and the confidence helps too). If it's dry, I'm thinking 'I'll try to win, but it'll be hard. A podium will be nice.'

Mabye it's LFS helping me with car control and making up for the lack of kart experience, or being smarter (I'm older than most of the other drivers) but I'm so much faster compared to everyone else in the wet! It is probably just that 'extra space' we have as less is taken up by 'Aaargh! Don't crash!'

Quote from logitekg25 :the full thing with the not and and switched is: *clears throat*

"LFS is a racing simulator and a screenshot generator." Lynce wants to prove him wrong on the last bit, not does so.

Nooooo! He doesn't want to switch the words around, just change 'not a screenshot generator' to 'and a screenshot generator', so it looks like this:

"LFS is a racing simulator and a screenshot generator." Lynce wants to prove him wrong on the last bit, and does so.

2 ands, no nots!
