I'm still alive but didn't race seriously for quite some time now. Also got me a new wheel (GT3 RS V2), still have to find some suitable settings and I need to get comfortable with it.
Bon vill Gleck mat dengem Team, mee kuck dass du aus dem "Demo" erauskenns. Eischtens ass et vir d´Team mei interessant an vir dech och, LFS huet vill mei ze bidden wei nemmen Blackwood.
Sorry for writing in a language unknown to most of you all. Anyway good luck with the team.
P.S. Kuckt dass dir en eegenen Skin erstallt krit, ass immens wichteg vir dass aaner Leit d´Team eremerkennen
Yeah sure I'll be delighted to enter the GFC again. Actually I'm competing in the Speedsims FOX challenge because I missed close FOX racing, and as it is about to end next saturday I'll have enough time at my hands.
OMG, I feel ashamed to see such a thread from a fellow countryman.
I also find it amusing to see that luxemburgish speaking only poeple don't seem to be invited in the team, so why call it "LUX Racing Team" anyway? Has nothing to do with Luxembourg at all.
I voted twenty-ten cause it has a nice and short ring. But that´s in english in my language I don´t know yet. Probably I´ll say "zweedausendzeng" which would be the equivalent of "Two thousand and ten" in english.
I know how to use LRA (import RAF´s and how to compare where I´m loosing time to WR i.e.). I just like to know, when I´m starting on a blank sheet and a generic set, what can I read out of the telemetry other then the ride height what helps tuning the set. I.e. I´d like to read potential balance problems out of the data and like you said maybe aero thing (though Bob´s VHPA gives already an idea about it) and I´d like to know if you can read something about diff settings out of the data gained. Maybe even read something about camber settings.
You know I´m kinda lost there, I know how to set up my car by testing my sets but I´d also like to see potentials to improve my sets through the telemetry.
I got a question concerning the telemetry data, as the title says: How do I use it in the right way. I know it may sound like a noob question, but I'd rather ask then to learn nothing.
I searched the forum and found nothing and the article in the LFS Manual Wiki ain't very helpful either.
To make it a bit more precise, I'd like to know i.e. how to correctly use LRA or F1 PerfView, and how to read things out of the telemetry, that would be worth changing in a set.
Problem solved . As I mentioned it always turns out that it´s my ISP´s fault, and so it was. Somehow they enabled a (very restrictive) Firewall notice without notifying us (there is a hp to reach for every of their clients to look at settings like AntiSpam, AntiVirus, Firewall etc... .). Now I took a look at this homepage and it said that the Firewall wasn´t engaged, though it was engaged.
The guy on the phone just told me, well that happens from time to time.
That wouldn´t be a problem if the servcice was for nothing but it also costs.
I find it concerning that such things can happen without notification.
Anyway I´m back in the race and really happy that it´s all solved now.
Arrrgl, called my ISP and they gave me their standart answer: We´re testing your line, .... .... .... Your line is fine, the problem is not on our side, but we´re sending a technician. Now I ´ve told them that on an other ohone line my material works fine it´s just on our line that it doesn´t work.
P.S. i hate them, not first time I had problems with the, either for an one problem or for a problem of one of my clients, always talking controversial things on phone. unfortunately ther isn´t much choice here in Luxemburg.
P.P.S At the end I always find out that it was a problem on their side, that sucks (sorry) so much.
I can´t join hosts that i don´t see in the list. I.e. I had 2 championship races yesterday (OWRL and Fox on the run), I couldn´t participate because I couldn´t join. I knew the servers and tried a manual connect but got a connection time out error and that happens with all hosts I don´t see in the list.
I took a router that I´m sure to function with LFS (I´ve tested at my brothers home) to my home. Installed it and guess what? Nothing still the same problem. So I thought maybe my phone plug or wall plug is broken, changed both, nothing. I think must be something with my ISP. Did a correct portforwarding on my material (actually I had it already done, but I thought maybe I´ve done something wrong), nothing.
Tested with Portcheck and on port 29339 it seems to connect but then says port ain´t open. On port 63392 it says that another application is blocking the port. Took a look at it with TCP-View but did not found such an application.
Tested other ports and I can´t establish a connection on any of them.
Ok my problem seems to be related to my modem. Tried on 3 different lines with different routers and/or modem combos and it seems it´s only on the Linksys material. Gonna see if there´s not some option I missed in them
I connected my PC directly to the modem now. Disengaged the SPI but the problem still persists. Gonna try with another DSL-Router now.
P.S.: Tried with another Router, still the same. Thoguh it´s also a Linksys Router, just a different model. Gonna try this afternoon with 2 different routers (1 USR and 1 Thompson) at my bro´s home.
Ok like Scawen said in that other thread I´m reporting the problem here. Me too have this problem that I can connect to the Master Server but most of the servers won´t reply in the server list (around 400 to 500 from 600). I have this problem since a month (must have been since patch Z19 or 20, but doesn´t seem to be related to the test patch, it occurs also on stock Z). Now I see more and more people having this problem here on the forum so I thought, let´s report it.
I tried on 3 different computers, dual boot systems (2x Win XP, 1x Win Vista and 3x on Ubuntu Linux, 2x 9.10 and 1x 9.04) once with Router and Modem Firewall on and once with both of them off, still always the same results. Is there anything I can do to help resolve this or is it my ISP?
