Let's say I've set the power side on 55% and the coast side on 75% (on an XRT).
Now I've read that a good range for preload is 400-600nm but there must be some regulas that you can rely on? (this range works fine but it's the fine-tuning that is bothering me)
I couldn't run LFS V5. As soon as I try to enter a replay or to enter a track LFS hangs.
I get no error message, it just freezes. Seems to me that Windows is still running, but I can't alt-tab back to the desktop or enter the task manager. I didn't try it in windowed mode yet.

Ever thought that LFS may never hit it big? Maybe it's too hardcore to attract a lot of poeple (in commercial sense).
I mean I showed LFS to a lot of friends and also let them drive. Most of them were amazed of the car feeling. But they would never buy it because it's a simulator where you actually have to "work" to become better. Not like NFS or TDU where you actually can jump in for a race or two when it pleases you and where you can have fun right away.
For most poeple it's frustrating if they don't get a success experience (don't know if you say it so in english) right away.
I would like to see real life tracks. It's actually the only reason I also have GTR2 and Race installed. I downloaded the Nordschleife for GTR2 and this is really challenging. Spa-Francorchamps is also a nice track. Well I don't like these tracks (actually Nordschleife is none of my fav's but it's challenging nethertheless) because they're real-life tracks, but I likle them because of their layout (Same goes for Monaco, Spielberg, Old Hockenheim, Adelaide, Melbourne etc...).
I also like the LFS tracks, there are nice combo's.
Well I purchased Race some days ago (and GTR2) to complete my racing games collection. I've tried it out and I can control the BMW's (also the '87) just easily. And I also have this strange feeling that the FF is controling the car or perhaps to define it the other way around: I definatly have the feeling that something else is driving the car and that i'm just a passenger (all helps off).
Hi fellow LFS Racers,
I've got a transfer market suggestion:
In short terms, I mean a place (Forum thread) or website in the LFS system where you can register as driver/team that is searching a driver/team. Would be easier then making a new thread in the Teams section like *searching new team* or Team ***** is recruiting*.
Example: You register yourself as driver that is searching a team. A team recruiter think that you're worth it, and he can write you a message that is send to you either by the message system over LFSworld or here in the forum. BTW I think it would be nice to put both message systems together (messages sent over LFSworld shown also in the forum system and vice-versa).
Yeah that´s exactly what also happened to me the first time. I´ve tried it on the Formula XR and what happened? First of all I´ve broke my PB on Bl1 by 1 s and second thing was that I burnt out the tyres by being too aggressive
As far as I remember LFS is only able to draw the shadows of 8 cars atm. This would be the 8 nearest cars as far as I remember. Some problem that is surely gonna be solved someday.
OK i should also state what hardware I´m using right now. I moved from a red Momo to the DFP, so the 900 degrees are nothing new to me right now. So I expect the biggest change to be the quality and the H-pattern gear shifter (of course also the clutch pedal).
Ok I´ve got a question, I flew over the whole thread, reading some posts but 44 pages are just too much.
So here´s the question: I´m thinking to buy a G25, but I´m not certain if I shall wait or if I should buy right now. So I´d like to have the opinion of G25 owners, is it good as it is now or are there still any bugs?
I use my own sets for leagues. But if I try a new combo on a public server I usually take a set from the inferno hp and then I customize it (sometimes to a degree where it has nothing left in common with the original).
A good guide for setups is Bob Smith's Advanced Setup Guide which can be found here http://www.thefloatingwidget.net/ . It should give you good insides of how to setup a car.
I´m using 1280*960 Pixels, 32bit colors, frames are over 70-80 constantly. Only time where I´ve had troubles was when I used the smoke mode (from Kegetys?) when a lot of cars went in the dirt.
I think this starts to become off topic, may be we should discuss this in the tech subsection.
Ati Radeon 9800 Pro, cheap (today) but powerfull. I still use it, although it´s starting to get old. But for LFS it´s enough to run it with full Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filtering.
