I have just tested XRR (with Rx/Drift setting) with autoclutch, and the clutch is engaged for a time really really quick, far quicker than for the FZR for example ... is that intentional ?

As the "湖 京都 競技場" sticked at the starting light area of KY3 (0.6U/V), Lake, Kyoto, Stadium. And there are indeed lakes there.
it is the classic drawback of the current tire physics model : even on a straight line, the downforce make the tires to almost heat up (what is actually the case with the Rx/Drift config with R2 tires, more than the classic wider tires that may loose few °c on long straights) ... so less power is obvioulsy helping regarding this aspect ...
But rallycross speaking, the GTR would need 100hp more to match the real counterparts (not sure the tires would follow)
You are right, it is indeed 265. Where I do not follow you is that you think that heavier car needs less tire width ... it is not the case for cars in general, why would drift cars need less tire width when heavier ? or more generally, why would lighter cars need bigger tires ? seems weird.
I have no talent for drifting, but by playing a bit with XRR and FZR, I would say the FZR is better when clutch kicking due to the bigger engine ... on this, the XRR is clearly less interesting, but handling speaking I find it quite nice due to the weight balance : whatever the tire width (but again, not a specialist)
Indeed. I would simply call them something like RACE (for Rx/Drift option) and GTR for the classic version we know for a longtime.
wow, I did some laps in the FXR, and it is better feeling by far. More agility, more responsive, clearly better (almost matching the laptimes of U18 by 0.2/0.3s)

I tried the XRR in the same config ... omg, that is a beast ! Impossible to not spinout the thing
I did a quick test (I was going mad with FXR on blackwood rallycross : amen to that patch ), and saw that : XFR and UFR are not included ... They are designed to be rallycross machines !

Indeed when more AI are present, the percentage for physics is at 20, while alone it barely reach 1. What is logic.
A simple side question : is LFS limiting the cpu usage to compute frames ? for instance, in my case I suppose the clock frequency is getting somewhere at 5GHz when a single core is stressed, and so LFS displays a huge amount of FPS (more than 1300 when alone). But in the mean time LFS knows that my screen is limited to 60Hz => how is handled the thing in the end : does the couple cpu/gpu has really computed the things (1300 fps), but forbid the gpu to send this flow of framerate to the screen ? or is it done anyway, and the screen discard the unecessary frames ?
I know in the past there was some strong proselytizing ( ) for using vertical synchronization to have fps matching the screen max frequency, but at my level when doing some tests in various games, I tend to have a slightly less fluid experience than not using it ... it is of course very subjective I guess.
Anyway Scawen, I hope you wil succeed to find how to implement the facility for multithreading capabilities for LFS , it ease a lot the cpu consumption for a given result in the end.
Make a list of hosts that was visited previosly... quite annoying to look for server if there is no player in it so you have to refresh all servers and look for specific one in the list (because I filter empty servers)... there is some space in "Join specific host" page at the right or at the bottom.... I guess no need to show what car or track just name for fast host swap
and to be more realist, when the graphical update and the tire physics will be released (as a test patch(es) obviously), the next challenge after releasing the whole thing (indeed there will be some glitches I suppose) for Eric will be to release the two other tracks for S3 content ... so, interiors ...

we manage races on the GUM GARAGE and and little tools improvements will be really cool like :
1- possibility for race/server admin to adjuste the time for Stop&Go penalty (very usefull in case of reset available in enduro races to "pay" he instantly repair of the car)
2 - possibility to exactly know the start mode actually set ! random, reverse or standard . i think it will not extrem difficult to display an information like quali time or laps in the grid screen.
on the track this information could be display with the "msg" form on the top left
3- i really wish the possibility in future to adjust the speed time for day to night ! imagine begining a race on dayligth to finish at night !
4- possibility for race manager to apply speed limiter to ALL racers (especially on aval races to simulate safety car / yellow flag
5- ... or a IA safety car , called with a single key.

- enter Garage, choose a car (for example FXR), but when exiting the Garage, press Spectate or button Esc
- click "Add AI driver". That adds an AI with FXR.
- enter Garage, choose another car (XRR), exit with Spectate or button Esc
- click "Add AI driver". That adds an AI with XRR.
- repeat the same steps
You can click through the AI list (click the names, e.g. "AI 1", "AI 2" ...) to see which car they have set.

Can be, it actually would improve the situation as it was always confusing on South City layouts.
But what if it gets removed but it can be replaced by ... Lets say.. Invisible movable layout objects, so sections can be marked to the own desire of the layout creator / InSim manager?
Would probably lead to the request of a higher amount of maximum layout objects but that has always been the case anyhow.
