even though it might be possible i guess, you would need at least a yottabyte or so in order to store all the replays and cover a decent amount of time (like 10 years? just guessing here...) (demo servers excluded that is)
seeing those charts i can somehow remember Victor saying "at some point in time" that he might consider some sort of a hotlap charts history or something like that. I cant imagine how this could be realised but only with the last entries of a "given patch season"? Would be cool to have something like that and see how times have changed over time which should of course includes the information that a given track has changed at some point in time, like blackwood for instance.
yeah i deleted the post but somehow implied that fact in the following post (number three), so its all good. "Facepalm" to the rest of the people in here
i would have called the thread title "ISP's confirm '2012: The Year Real Life Restarts".
On a serious note,
:inq: .
I wouldn't say everyone but there seems to be a group of people who tend to make a religion out of conspiracy theories and then we have the counterpart, the group of people who are denying or ignoring everything and everyone that could stand in conflict with the "so well advanced and cultured" modern world society or dares to question the so called "official facts". I wonder which group of "extremists" is more dangerous in the long run . On topic, consideration is the keyword i guess and personally i really cant believe this is going to happen. This would be like contaminating the air we breath with anthropogenic greenhouse gases or cultivation with the help of pesticides... Oh man im getting sick of those contradictions. Im sorry.
made this one a while ago and should help one to get back to the ideal line on the straights in time
Added a replay to show how it should look with the BF1. I created it with the FZR as a test vehicle so thats why the "tunnel" on the straight between T1 and T2 begins that early.
Despite the rather obvious mistakes by those drivers, sometimes something happened that was simple down to hardware failures and hasn't been noticed as that in first place, at least not by the "average" spectators or even moderators (lack of telemetry data). I cant offer any examples but im sure there are some.
I do also find it a bit contradicting to demand a perfect race of someone who is basically forced to move along the edge while the conditions are constantly changing (such as tire behaviour and weight variation or environment changes like weather for instance). At the same time, the limits (the personal but not the actual limits) are fluctuating quite a lot according to the changing conditions (cold tires can't provide a higher speed throughout turns then tires at ~optimal temperature...and so on, you name it) and so doing mistakes while finding the limits for each "stage" of the race is a normal process if you ask me. The trick is to make the compensation look like a skillful move instead of a lucky hit.
I could get even more into detail but i guess since you're a race driver in the "holy" reallife you do know such stuff already. My point is that there is far more involved then skills, luck and knowledge (you name it) and i simple can't stand it when people judge by what they see instead of getting to know what's really going on. Thats all.
