Indeed. I had a few bikes before, rather good ones actually and also tried a lot of my friends bikes and such but never ever had a better feeling then with this one. Its great quality for a great price though. I think i'll stick with scott bikes for some time now
I was facing a simular situation last year. I was looking for a nice looking bike that would just bring me from point A to B, basically. I did some test rides and decided to get a Scott YZ3 2007 bike for about 400 €. Since its a mountain bike im able to do some offroad/ downhill stuff every now and then and still its perfect for "normal day conditions".
So obviously and as already suggested, get to know what you want to do with the bike mostly and consider routes on which you want to go every now and then. Every feature (such as suspension and disc brakes) are going to cost a bit of extra money and specialized bikes are going to be expensive as well. I'd say front suspension is quite comfortable and was quite helpful every now and then but i dont think that rear suspension and disc brakes are of any needs, at least if you're not a "hardcore offroad topspeed seeking geek"
but there are all three sections above 200 at the rear right tire, right? I dont believe he is actually standing on the flat spots there and even if so, when the spots where all at the same part of the wheel (side by side so to speak), wouldn't it pop then regardless the rest of the tires surface?
Sometimes you get to know eachother best while facing minor problems like this (and im actually just referring to some of the bizarre (over-) reactions here) On the contrary, forgetting to turn it on is far more annoying if you'd ask me.
Anyway, welcome to LFS and have fun with it Old Timer.

Reason : for the sake of clarity...
This is just awesome and especially the craftsman trucks are lovely. I used to play the PWF mod for NR03S a lot just before i got another pc back in the days. For some reason i cant get this game running anymore. Getting the blue screen of death all the time...
Fair enough. I was simple referring to the stereotype "FM = oval team" which seems to be the common opinion about us. Not really a problem but its simple misleading and not true (at least after my personal understanding) and i just took the oportunity (perhaps a bit further then necessary) to clarify this once more. So no offence taken from my side as same as i hope that you haven't taken any by me as well.
About the server list and the track use in particular, while you're certainly right about that you would be suprised how well our servers had been visited in the past. Its just that some people are afraid of going to the oval simple and mostly* because they fear to end up in a big mess "right after the lights turn green". Without a set of rules this is most likely the case on a public base but we have shown that its possible to get this running quite successfully anyway.
*Leaving the realism fanatics aside for now
off topic: Im thinking about more ovals, proper vehicles & settings (asymmetric suspension for instance) and more realistic conditions (mainly aerodynamics related) and then this gap between curcuit tracks and oval tracks would be much smaller then it is right now. LFS is ready for this and im really curious if the devs are taking this into consideration for further development or not. The concept of lfs could imply such a step but you never know right?

Reason : content + grammar as usual...
Not that i had a problem with that in case it was true, but we never where a pure oval team (how boring would that be?). There is no such thing anyway (as far as i know). We're just using it (or used it) more then other teams and are not afraid of doing so despite the fact that its not perfect or 100% realistic or has a "bad reputation" (created by some wise guys who never or barely used this track before anyway). Some of us where mainly using it and some not at all. Just for your information and to explain my previous comment a bit more.
well usually the blue flag rule on the oval, at least for long distance races should differ from curcuit track or shorter oval races where you need to get out of the way in order to not interfear with the leaders. In long distance races however this can add a lot to the race strategy, or can screw it up...if you know what i mean Nevertheless, even if the backmarkers are allowed to team up with cars that are one or more laps ahead, its a matter of respect to keep the actions low. Meaning that if one doesn't feel save enough then he should stay behind and catch the draft of the leading cars or if a draft pattern emerges, he should not use the crowbar and drive like its the last lap (every lap) or he is battling for a position or anything.
If i where "crazy" and even if "chucky" would have been my teammate then i would have bumped him only to catch up with you again. So again, the blue flag rule along with all the other rules should be clearly stated before the race.
Was it a fun event or something more serious?
Edit: I see, something more serious.
By entering you accept the following rules will apply
...
4. You WILL move for the blue flag.
No further input required i guess

Reason : checked the event specific thread in the TC forum
Was bumpdrafting permitted? (I would never join an event in which it was.) In case it was not allowed then the penalty was clearly justified. Behaviour under blue flag is also dependent on the rules. So in then end it seems there where no or just a limited set of rules otherwise this wouldn't have happend or you wouldn't need to argue about it, in your or this very forum.
same here, thats why im not using IE7 as well. If i remember correctly, its possible to turn this function off (at IE7) but i still prefer the good old 6.0 over that Netscape clone
(and as long as the tab function cant be turned off, i wont get this google thingy)
Whats so good about FF anyway? Maybe i should give that one a go some day..
i do remember having the same problem last time i was forced to use my old momo again while using the latest drivers installed for the G25. Try the drivers comming with the wheel (which should had been 4.60). Good luck.
