Quote from ACLRacer :Hi T7Racers
not many words: i´m interested in joining T7R.
But there are 2 probs: noSkill and noTime to join Triple Double Cup.

greetz noSkill

p.s. does some of the former T7R left the team? (Fordman,Basem etc.)

Hi,

well that's the problem we often have.
People are interested but how can we meet them, get to know them?
As we don't want just more members but members that really fit into our Team.

At the moment it's some kind of requirement to start in the TDC
(That's more or less the meaning of it all)

Else we don't have much others ways to "judge" about interested people,
to get to know them and vice versa, see how they are on the track etc.

Another way to get into contact with the Team is for sure to check out our website and to be a little bit active in our forum.

Regards,

BBO

p.s.:
A lot of the "old guys" have left us and some left also LFS completly. Fordman, Basem, Bismarck, EMD, ...
but some are still there: SparkyDave, P1LOT, Three Jump, ...

Quote from EasyFold :I am new to LFS but drive clean and don't mind to be at the back of the pack but if that is not a concern to you all then I'd like to join in as well...

Well if you promise to practise the cars and tracks and to read the rules (and to not crash someone in T1 )
Then this shouldn't be a problem, we all had and have to start at some point.
See you on the tracks.

Quote from BurnOut69 :Must be a tough time for the true racing scene of LFS if teams like T7R need to advertise to get new members

"tough time"? Was always like this, wasn't it

Tbh we have no fixed practise times atm and some Teammembers drive in that league and others in the next league etc.
it was often hard to get dates to meet and drive with interested drivers.

So we thought it would be a good idea to try out new things and to have with the TDC a platform
to meet new people and race together with them and others and have some fun under league conditions.

Quote from BurnOut69 :Good luck!

Thx

Hi Ho,

for the first time ever, in over 4 years, we are looking for new members via the LFS forum.
Therefore we'll start a little league really soon: The Triple Double Cup

We think that this will be a good way for us to get to know you
and for you to get in contact with us and maybe to join such a long-established Team like T7R.

You can drive with us, you can meet us, you can show how and who you are
and we'll decide after a short time if you would fit into our "little family".

What are you waiting for?
All you have to do is check in for the Cup here or visit our Triple Double Cup (TDC) forum
at www.Triple7Racing.net and sign in there.

It's up to you to take this chance we offer here for the first time.
Come and join us.

We hope to see you soon on the tracks.

Regards,

The T7R Team Managers
Three Jump and BBO
on behalf of the Triple 7 Racing Team

Quote from Stefani24 :At the lg site (if its uk.lge.com) they dont even have a category for navis.

Quote from pearcy_2k7 :Yah thats what i found too, guna go back tomorrow and swing it in the silly cows face...

better look again.
Took me 10 seconds to find it:
http://uk.lge.com/support/download_manual.jsp
click on Product -> Select and select Navigation
type in LN505 under Model number.
Then you got at least a manual.

Looks like there is no new software for it.
Didn't you got a CD/DVD when you bought it?
There is the software you need: But it works only with Windows 2000/XP, says the manual

does anyone know how the professional graphics from the Television are made???

Fox Sports, NHL, BBC, MTV use things like TriCaster

and other companies or designers use Adobe.
So Adobe after effect is what you should try,

Quote from george_tsiros :my knowledge on nuclear physics is somewhat rusty, but of all the 60kg, i think that if 4g of it is in fact radioactive, it is enough to start a chain reaction.

something along the lines that even if 1 in 10^10 atoms was charged by just one electron more, even a potato would explode fiercely

I'm also not a nuclear physician but from what I read you can't have a stable chain reaction with 4g of whatever radioactive stuff.
It makes bang but it's not a proper atomic bomb.
And else everyone would have had mini-nukes for ages.

Google for Little Boy and Fat Man that's what these 2 bombs was called
or wait ...

Quote from bbman :I recently heard the bomb on Hiroshima featured just 4 grams of radioactive material...

"No critical mass = no nuclear fission"

The Hiroshima Bomb was based on Uranium-235 and the critical mass for Uranium is around 50kg so they took 60kg for that bomb.

Even if an atomic bomb is made of Plutonium-239 then they at least needed ~6 to 7kg to get a critical mass (they used ~ 6 to 8kg for the Nakasaki bomb) ,
so what you heard about the 4 grams is complete nonsens.

Quote from Razza :
so this is my way of asking if you can point me in the right direction or maybe even offer me up your old rig.

PS anything will be better than what i have because im running 15FPS in lfs with everything turned to low or off

and my budget is about 500USD max , i know not alot to work with but im not exactly wealthy

Just an idea. What if you would look for desktop bundles.
Then you can give your old stuff to the children
and still use the new one just for yourself.

I don't know if this is a good place to shop or if they have stores near you but I mean something like this:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/app ... No=3980412&CatId=2629

It's just a bit above your 500$ limit and sure it's not a high end gaming machine (that's out of the question if 500$ is the limit)
but Acer is a good brand and for the price it's a really good deal (including the TFT and the OS). It got everything to let LFS run with more then 15 fps

Quote from DeadWolfBones :The main reason that cruisers and drifters (cruisers in particular) get so much flak is that they continue to request that their concerns be put ahead of those of the racers in the community. This is a racing sim, has been from the start, and the devs have made it very clear that it will continue to be. The devs are not interested in making this a cruising sim (contradiction in terms) or a drifting sim--but if those things come as a byproduct, so be it.

Scawen & Co. have been very insistent on developing their own vision of LFS, and the racers who have been with LFS for the long haul get understandably fed up with the new waves of non-racers who show up and think that they have the right to demand equal consideration (or any consideration, period) for their preferred activities.

+1
I couldn't say or write it any better.

Quote from dougie-lampkin :What I do for really secure passwords, is type it backwards.

OT

Sry but that's as secure as if you type your password the normal way.
Sophisticated tools can rapidly guess passwords that are based on words in multiple dictionaries, including words spelled backwards.

In general there are no secure passwords, only strong and weak passwords.

Combine letters, numbers, and symbols.
The greater variety of characters that you have in your password, the harder it is to guess.
Simple as that.
But once you have a keylooger running on your system then there is already something completly wrong with your system security at all.
