I didn't want just a drag car(The 99GT), I wanted something that can take the corners and compete with supercars(well once I get the Kenne Bell installed) All together I only invested 8k into the GTI and Saab combined, over 6 years, that is NOT a lot. The GT I admit I went crazy on, but I could afford it, it was before I started a family, and the Cobra is the only expensive car, and I saved forever. I'll keep the Cobra for life, best car I've ever driven, and smokes just about anything, it's good fun at the track. Of all ppl, considering how related this forum is to racing, you'd think most of you would understand that. I'm blessed to be able to do these things, and I appreciate it every day. Anyways, this guy treats me like I have a garage full of Ferraris and Vipers.

People, stop hating on me, what the hell did I do? Cars are a hobby of mine, and over 6 years I've collected each of my favorite, stop hating and get a life. It's not a GT know it all, cobra's have an IRS, that combined with my suspension with adjustable height and dampers, and 245's in the front, 285's in the back, it handles as well as a new vette, this I know because I fool around with them at the track. Well stock the car's top speed is between 170-180. I've seen video's of Terminators hitting 170 easily, but they don't push any more. I've also seen it listed as 180, I'm not sure, I've only once pushed it to 160, which is the redline in 5th gear. The same night I did the G-tech run.

Dude, that's a very nasty comment, your last one. It was a one time thing, and the new 2.8 Kenne Bell is for track only. Also you missed a point, no big deal, there's a lot written here, but my car isn't setup for drag racing, but for circuit. It's surprising I got the numbers I did when I did the G-tech run, that's why I was so easy out of first gear, it would have spun through second gear.

The new Kenne Bell will not be used on the street, it's for the track, "I don't street race". I don't see the point in beating my car for no good reason, I want to compete on a circuit with Z06's and Porches, which is why I'm getting the 2.8. I never said I was gonna use it on the street, try to understand this G-tech run was simply a test, and my flight instructor was out of town, so I couldnt use the airstrip, which I usually use, with my other cars anyways, this one is new, haven't had the chance. I plan to race a pocono raceway, and every once in a while, drag race when my car club meets at our local drag strip, although I don't plan on winning, they're all setup for drag racing, suspensions, slicks, all that. I don't really like drag racing, but I participate to have fun with my friends.

Anyways, what you said is downright sick, and regardless of what I did, that's a really disgusting thing to say, to wish death on someone. I did it once, and it's over with, you act like I do this every day, it was -only- to test my G-tech, that's it, and IMO and my passenger, it was safe.

I've been lucky enough to get my hands on a new system, so this one is for sale, I'll be selling it as soon as the new system is put together. Just need a case, psu and mobo, all of which I should have within 2 weeks, most likely less, so if you decide to buy, you'll barely have to wait.

Here's the details. It's originally an OEM Acer Aspire M5100. But it didn't stay stock for more than 2 hours, when I got it, I bought ram, a processor, and a video card with it, but have since replaced the video card.

SuperPI 25 seconds, with 800mhz ram would be around 18
Quake Wars, 1680x1050 max graphics, no AA, 8x AF, steady 60FPS, locked at 60, benchmarks at 92fps, which is really good.
Boot time 13 seconds, shut down 7-8 seconds. Never any spyware or viruses. Lots of free software included, and a few games

It was a brand new roadway, barely used at all, and no traffic at all at night. I need not worry about traffic behind me, as u saw I can hit 60 in 4.5, so my only concern was traffic ahead, and the roadway was very well light, all brand new lights, all the way down for miles, plus my HID's, you have no idea how safe it was. I took no time at all to reach 120(less actually I only hit 117 the G-tech was off on speed, not time tho, as I've run 12.60's at the track in good conditions, not that 3mph matters, but) and even less time to slow down with the oversized brembo's.

I'm just sayin, don't hate on me, it's done and over with, it was a one time thing to test the G-tech (which was a fantastic investment by the way). I spend all my time at Pocono and my local drag strip with my friends(although I don't drag race my car's setup for circuit). Anyways, I apologize I offended some of you.

I read that it's only the 8600 cards. The problem is the constant heating and cooling, causing a part to fail. The rate of failure is far more common in notebooks because of the constant on and off, so they don't last as long as the desktop versions, which aren't subjected to this nearly as often. I have a 8600GT factory overclocked plus I OC'd it even more, about a year, and never had a problem, at times it hit nearly 90C, tough cards I guess, when they work.
