Is this a fact or an urban myth? Y'know, one of those national stereotypes that have a grain of truth but are generally untrue. Scotsmen are tight, Welsh can sing, Irish fight, English can play football etc. etc.
In Jyväskylä maybe, but in Helsinki it's amazing how many people speak English. I got a parking ticket in Helsinki and phone the given number to find out what I must do to pay the fine. I asked the girl if she spoke English 'Of course' she replied. Oh yes, I got away with the fine as well.

In the UK some traders, like builders and car mechanics, quote you a price for a job then when they've finished tell you that vat goes on top! I hate that, just tell me what the final figure is for god's sake!
Do you pay tax on ALL your income or is, as in UK, a proportion of it tax free. For example, if you earn £30,000 p.a. the first £4,000 is tax free. (or there abouts) So you only(!) pay tax on £26,000.
After long and careful thought there is not very much I can point a finger at. Maybe it's the rose tinted silmälasit symdrome it just seems there is less to complain about in Finland than here. Maybe when I start paying taxes.
Which reminds me. Something that has always puzzled me is how can a country with a fine infrastructure and facilities etc. etc. be payed for by only 5 million people? The taxes must be crippling or politicians must be VERY honest.

Several, indeed most of us on the server tonight, were dismayed at the digital speedo on the UFR. This was followed by 'OMGs' and...well general unhappiness. To slap digital displays on everything from UFR upwards is a damned shame! At least put the option back...please. Right throughout the whole range of cars if necessary. That'll keep everyone happy and won't detract from the sim one iota.

Yes exactly, I've tried it several times. Update patch, restart server, defaults to 5 laps. Restarted server ordinarily and it still defaults to 5 laps. Checked each time that setup.cfg is 10 laps...it is. This has been noticed since about X34/35. Sorry, I can't be specific about which patch started it.
I think I've found a bug that hasn't been reported. At least I haven't bee able to find it.
Concerns Dedicated server: Setup.cfg is set for 10 laps. When the server is restarted it defaults to 5 laps. The .cfg file does not change. Can't be a feature surely.

A little 'pink' and a bit 'drifty' but some good things in there which I will undoubtedly use. Very good work.
They're decals for god's sake! You'll only get a 20-25 fps drop, well worth it.

Difficult without a doubt. First it's not based on Latin in any way I can see, unlike most European languages. Worst of all, when I have painstakingly worked out something to say my wife will tell me "You should have said ~~~ssa or ~~lla or ~~sta", or any one of a hundred affixes rather than the one I settled for! Aaaaagh!
